    This is an amazing idea. I might look it to making one but with a scoping frame to have an arm to hold the post instead of a worker like the Wheatheart Post Pounder. I live in Nova Scotia it's rocky as hell some areas like Bedford are literally bedrock after 3 inchs so rock drills with 3ft tungsten rods with 6 inch diamond bit.

      My head hurts just thinking about all that rock. 😣

      @@SWiFence 😂 I use the rock drill daily 😂 just installed 400ft of oriental fence in New Brunswick had to us an auger we watched your video about augers it's worked well. But a few holes had rocks 3 ft bigger than the hole had to use rock drill with stone splitting shims and wedges. Old Tech but works wonders.

    Always enjoy watching. Let’s be honest, I won’t use any names but a guy with the last name Olson, first name rhymes with Mark, went to Florida to be able to drive a post 3’ in the ground by hand. Lol.

    Yeah but will it drive my Kubota so I can sit on the porch and watch it mow the lawn? Or, does it have some limitations?

    • @SWiFence
      @SWiFence  Před 2 lety +1

      Er... there are a few limitations. 😂🤣

    What did you use for the swing mechanism?

    • @SWiFence
      @SWiFence  Před 3 měsíci

      We used a solid piece of round stock about 1.5" in diameter. 👍🏻

  • @bikeyo

    Have you used it to drive postmasters?

    • @SWiFence
      @SWiFence  Před 5 měsíci

      No. We typically use the gas-powered pounders.

    You drive many residential chain link fences with this ?

    • @SWiFence
      @SWiFence  Před 2 lety +1

      You certainly could. It's all about access and resources for us. We've got bigger machines that are even faster, so if those are available and we've got decent access at the site we'll just use those, but we love this option when things are too crowded or the bigger machines are tied up on other jobs.

    Could you pound 6 to 8 inch round pressure treated post? Im looking to buy a pounder. I only have a sk 600 ditch witch

    • @SWiFence
      @SWiFence  Před rokem +1

      The biggest post you can pound with a t-rex is 2 7/8"

    Can you drive 7” pressure treated post in clay soil?

    • @SWiFence
      @SWiFence  Před 2 lety

      Not on the t-rex, no. It only accepts 2 7/8" max.

    Do you guys sell that attachment?

    Will that thing fit on the mt100?

    • @SWiFence
      @SWiFence  Před 2 lety

      Don't see why not. It'll attach to a full-size skidsteer, so the 100 should work great.
