  • How to Play SET A WATCH with a solo play through. Published by Rock Manor Games.
    Game Description:
    In Set a Watch, a cooperative game for 1-4 players, you must clear out nine locations to stop the acolytes from breaking the seals holding back the evil Unhallowed. Every round you will visit a new location and pick an adventurer to rest and take camp actions. The rest of the party will take watch and battle a line of monsters trying to make their way into camp using your dice and unique character abilities. Manipulating the creature line is essential to solving each round’s combat puzzle. It is a battle to stay alive and keep the campfire burning! Use your wits and skill to fight for the light…or all will perish in the darkness.

    Fantastic tutorial mate, was struggling to work this all out until I watched this video. Finding I have to return every so often to clear up a few errors but that's np. This is such a good game and it's great to be able to play it properly. The expansion is on the cards for sure and hopefully you post a tutorial for that also. Cheers, Kozmo

    This is the first Set a Watch playthrough I have watched in its entirety. Really good, thanks!
    Have you played One Deck Dungeon before? I am curious to hear your thoughts on how it compares to Set a Watch.

    • @DaletheCasualGamer
      @DaletheCasualGamer  Před 3 lety +1

      @Bruno Eduardo Thanks for watching! I enjoyed One Deck Dungeon, it's a lighter dice manipulation game ... I feel Set A Watch to me felt a bit more strategic. But it's been a while since I've played either.

      @@DaletheCasualGamer Thank you for replying! Are there any other strategy cooperative games you enjoy?

    • @DaletheCasualGamer
      @DaletheCasualGamer  Před 3 lety +1

      @@teypan Spirit Island has gone well with my group. We are also huge fans of the Cthulhu mythos, so both the Arkham Horror card game and board game have done well and for dice chucking, Cthulhu Must Die. Gloomhaven is also a good choice for a strategy dungeon crawl. Hope this helps, and happy gaming!

    Great tutorial! Question: @35:23 should the fire be reduced by 2, taking the location card effect into consideration?

    Hi the wording on zombies is weird because it seems like you're suppose add the zombies health to the top grave and not add top grave to zombies health. Where did you find the ruling for the wording?

    • @DaletheCasualGamer
      @DaletheCasualGamer  Před 2 lety

      @Brandon Kim The card is poorly worded, but the Horde's health should increase, not the defeated creature in the discard pile.
      I did find a forum on Board Game Geek for reference.

    Question maybe I missed it but what is the unused location deck used for?

    • @DaletheCasualGamer
      @DaletheCasualGamer  Před 3 lety

      @PrimordialRage Thanks for watching! When you take the "Check Map" action, you can look at the top card of map deck and unused deck, and swap if you'd like. So maybe one will work better for you than the other. Hope that helps, and good luck! :)

    Just played this with a friend, we tried it on a hard and was a walk in the park. The 2nd round we had one enemy go through when we ran out of dice, but the rest of the game was super easy. Anyone else find it too easy?
