Missed the opportunity to make everyone you managed to save throughout the game appear on the bus at the end, but still a thrilling game after all.
It kinda hard
It gets really irritating when you have to suffer a health penalty for every person you don’t save or get scratched by a zombie right behind you without warning. Even losing your health when you grab a zombie despite not being hurt in any sort of way.
That's so they can get you to buy more credits
You’re right and dont’ Forget shooting Someone accidentally
It's an arcade game, it's common practice.
Never mind that. I used to play this game in the arcades till i realised it was rigged. The people that were playing it before me were struggling with level 1 and were getting hit lots of times but little health was coming off them until they died. When it was my turn to play I managed to get up to level 2 without getting hit. Then suddenly the first hit I took about half my health bar came off! One or 2 hits later i was done. I haven't played it since
i’m pretty sure to help penalty for not saving a survivor is just punishment for your terrible aim all your slow reaction time (to basically show what would happen in real zombie apocalypse)
Sad how in the end, He escaped but saw everything getting taken away but was finally reunited with them.
Also probably gotten about maybe a mile away before being killed.
@@lackingoff7596 actually there is a possibility of him surviving that was a crawler that got in and zombies tend to be loud he would have probably looked behind to check the destruction of the prison and see the crawler
@moonsettler1623 that's what I like to imagine happened.
@@awesome3995 I'm saying he was so depressed over the losses that he didn't notice until it was too late.
It’s amazing how far we have come with direct captures. We used to pull out our smartphones and camcorders to get arcade game footage.
@Dark-Sargasso Thank you! I like my username too.
This game is one of the arcade cabinets I wanna buy for myself and just have it in my house. I love this game and it sucks I have to go all the way across town just to get to the one place that has it.

What couldve been a cool detail that i wanted see in the game is to see all the people you failed to save before be seen as a zombie in the end
The only thing that annoys me is how much health you lose if you don’t save them, like why does someone else dying hurt you,
It hurts mentally :(
Never mind that. The games rigged. I managed to get to level 2 without getting hit then suddenly ly the first hit I took about half my life bar came off! 1 or 2 hits later i was dead yet the people playing before me were getting hit lots in level 1 and little life bar came off
This game most likely took place in Season 4 of The Walking Dead. The main characters were originally from Woodbury but were rescued by Rick's group. The Governer came back for revenge and thats how this game took place.
Finally a playthrough of this game
I remember playing this in a arcade real fun
Same Either
I think the nail gun is OP. The aim is terrible but it is a weapon that has 50 ammo, also the weapons that are infinite like the pipe and the hammer are OP aswell
Jason being the last survivor to escape the West Georgia Correctional Facility is just sad, losing Lewis and Kara, RIP to the two :(
Excellent first-person shooter game. And, as arcade games go, has the best dramatic story line.
23:21 Maybe Jason could've cleared the horde of walkers in the room, then let the guy fall, and go back up the stairs and not use the girl as bait
This game is fun to play but I feel like saving the people and the ending made it feel kind of meaningless. I wish the endings determined how many people you save (Including Hollie) with a bad ending (Everyone dies and possibly you), neutral ending (Save partially everyone and everyone else dying by you failing to save them) and a good ending where you save those rescuable survivors and everyone else before escaping.
Like whatever happened to those survivors we rescue? Do they just inevitably die or something? We gotta know.
True. That ending upset me so much
This is not a Sega game.
@@UltramanMebiusBrave Sega or Not, *its happens EVEN in other type of games like people survives or not.*
I absolutely fucking hate the ones that hit as soon as you turn around
19:07, that was supposed to be Health Bonus!
uhm, yea lol
I saw this before in an arcade when I was like 8, I never played it because I got to scared lol.
I played it when I was young but I was really bad it it LOL
Is no one talking about the survivors that ran into the bus and chapter free word in the bus in chapter 4? Also when some of the survivors were running from the infected when the gate fell down someone just ran straight into a dead end
I can’t wait for this to be available on Teknoparrot, along with Jurassic Park.
I mean. Jasom might as well be the GOAT of the walking dead protagonists. Ripp everyone else.
WOOW😲🧟This must be from the fourth season of TWD when the Governor came back for revenge😲🧟
18:03 That Face😂
Damn! The entire population of Georgia was in that prison apparently😂
Incredible good game I put on this game many tokken and I finish him many time but always I go in arcade room in Paris I play it again
The Old Prison! I didn’t even know about it while I was playing the game before I watch the Series. I thought It was destroyed due The Governor unless it’s the same time period when Hershel was Killed
Thing is; I'm not sure why arcade manufacturers don't release the game along side the arcade. What's running in modern arcades is in fact a pc.
Honestly I think they should release arcades to home computers alongside arcade releases. Its just a matter of making it a standalone software package with directinput or xinput controller support and unlocking the game to read that input.
Obviously the benefit of the modern arcade cabinet is exactly what you mentioned here; a more immersive experience. That experience is still worth that premium and maybe more could be done to improve that immersive experience.
I love arcades ; I wish more companies still made them. I do not believe the arcade industry has to die; it just needs modernise itself and that has been done a fair bit. Most importantly by utilizing retail pc components really opens the door to new ways to not only make new arcade games without the costs of specialized circuit boards but also enables the ability to bring those arcade games to pc for the home user. If they would just let that happen.
The issue is that ports are long shown to damage earnings and sales of the arcade side. By letting it happen, you would be signing the video arcade's death certificate. Take for example the fighting genre (Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat). Why is it rare to see new arcade fighter in the US? Because every single fighting game gets a console port. I once was stupid and wasted thousands of dollars on Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition. It made incredible money - until the literal day of the console port release. Then it bombed and I never made my money back on it. Lesson learned.
Yes, the effect is less pronounced on driving and light-gun games but it still hurts it. My Cruis'n Blast used to be #1 every week. Thanks to that being ported to the Switch, now it's consistently 2/3/4th, always lagging behind the arcade-exclusive Maximum Tune 5. It's not bad, but not as great as it used to be.
This is because a majority of players really don't care about the immersive positives that an arcade cabinet brings to the table - having it at home is "good enough" so they don't bother to play the arcade version as much as they would (or at all). In the case of fighters, there is practically no immersive difference or unique controls. Devs also tend to cram a lot more content and features into console ports since most players would not be happy with straight arcade ports, thus making the console versions more desirable. Cruis'n on Switch is simply a better game when comparing content/features. Yes, the arcade build has better graphics, sounds and controls. But again, most people don't care because content is king.
In this situation, manufacturers wouldn't make money like they used to, thus making their development investment worthless and then they would have to just make console games like everyone else or close up shop. Arcade games can be quite lucrative, in part because there's no where near the amount of competition that a release on console has to deal with and profit margins on a game that's $12,000 is a lot higher than a game that's $5-$60.
The only way an arcade location would then make money is by running ticket redemption games; I wouldn't bother with the business myself as I'm not interested in running a pseudo-casino, that's not "gaming" to me.
@@arcadeheroes_coinop @Arcade Heroes very interesting. See I would've thought that the immersive experience would still hold it above water with modern titles. Not to mention the differences between ports and the the actual arcade.
With fighters like say: tekken 7 fated retribution round 2; that is one awesome arcade , and you're right, you get more characters on the pc release port than what's available in arcades. But again I'll be 100% honest; it feels better and looks better with the arcade version. Content is king; you're right, so why doesn't the arcade versions of these fighters share their content or have exclusive content? Surley it's just a software update away.
I'm just saying ; there's got to be a way to figure this out and bring it home while still being profitable in arcades there's got to be a way. What that way is ; I'm not sure but maybe part of that solution is to lower the costs of arcade cabinets in the first place 🤔 .. idk.
There just has to be a way figured out for arcade owners and players to all have their cake and eat it too. Furthermore the person or company that does I think will become very successful. I don't want arcades to die, I want them to take off again. I also want them preserved. I hope someone can figure this out so everyone wins.
@@arcadeheroes_coinop ok I've got a idea. Now this is a big one and will require a meeting with Gabe Newell 🤣😅
Dont laugh too hard as in all seriousness outside of the what looks impossible ;
What if there's a "Steam O/S Arcade" strictly for use as or in arcade cabinets.
Where as any developer for say a game like Tekken or SF or anyone wanting to make a arcade game ; if they so chose to put the game in arcades and also make it available cross platform. The game first is released on "steam os arcade" exclusively; upon the first content drop ; it goes to the arcade for a minimum 6 month exclusivity. Upon delivering that first content update to the arcades , the base game gets released on pc , standard steam in this example.
Upon the next content drop for arcades for again 6 month exclusivity, the first piece of content gets released on pc. And on down the line it goes for life of the game. Bug fixes obviously will not be tied to such exclusivity, only content. Everything downloaded like any other update through steam.
This would make the arcade version the most up to date version content wise for the entire lifespan of the game. In the end both the arcade version and pc version will be the same. but if a arcade owner jumps in day 1 they should be able to enjoy the full benefit of having the most up-to-date and best version of a arcade game until the end of its content life. Also people on other platforms will also get all the content by the end. Arcade versions should get all that extra content for no additional costs as it should all be paid up front.
This also could make it possible to switch games on a cabinet if one is so inclined from strictly the backend software buy buying a new arcade game through the steam arcade o/s and switching it and making it the default game.
Obviously there's a lot that could be done from this point from steam selling their own arcade platform(s) that's drop in ready (as it's just pc hardware anyway) to a developers own cabinet , selling their own steam cabinets, all the way to steam producing their own prepherials ready to be painted and branded by devoplers and publishers like lightguns, racing wheels pedals etc. Lots of things could be done here.
This could standardize arcades a bit into category cabinets like "fighters, flyers, rail shooters and racers" with plug in play perephial support inside the cab. This could bring arcades into the place they need to be to not only make them more popular but also save the industry.
So there it is. Obviously there's going to need to be some heavy influences in the arcade space , maybe Doc etc but honestly it's a rough idea that sounds good on paper but that's a tall order. Comes down to the person with enough intertesticular fortitude with a bit of crazy to try. but man ; that would be one cool concept.
@@knightmaremedia7795 It would be great if we could have that cake and eat it too :) But I think that if there was a "silver bullet" type answer for it, then it would have been done already.
I personally find the value in unique controls, an immersive cabinet and all that. But every time a console game is brought to the arcade without any changes to it, it makes nothing. Both the software and hardware have to be unique for it to stand out.
It is also a bigger risk to the devs than most fans realize. Sega almost went bankrupt when they brought some arcade titles to consoles (both OutRun 2 & Jambo Safari were terrible sellers). A lot of these ports aren't huge sellers, because most gamers are interested in current games and not old ones that their dad used to play.
In terms of fighters, I find it a bit annoying that fighting fans can't "allow" something like Street Fighter to have both a console and arcade version with the AC version having some exclusive fighters and stages. I even mention such a thing and a bunch of guys literally lose their minds like I insulted both their mother & grandmother. It's ridiculous entitlement that just keeps hurting arcades, but it happens every time.
On content, it could be done, if they feel that the money is there to cover the costs+make a profit. I have told various manufacturers that if they released a content package (more levels in a racing game, for example) and they sold it at a reasonable price, I'd buy it. But that might be the issue - when you're creating at this kind scale, it might make it unreasonable. One example I could mention is when Namco released a single new level for the Star Wars Battle Pod years ago and they wanted $5000 for it :/ I had to pass on that one. But I did buy their very expensive content upgrade for Maximum Tune 5. Fortunately, that is showing results as the game has been performing even better.
I know that you might not like this answer, but to the overall question/desire to see all arcade games get ported - why do they all *have* to be? Consoles have their own exclusives that never show up on competitor platforms; With arcades, I don't see why everything has to go to a console. It made more sense back in the 80s when most stuff used joysticks but not really now. If a game is custom-made for the arcade experience, why water it down and change it just so it maybe reaches a slightly larger audience? A really good arcade game will find it's way everywhere and won't be so impossible to find anyways (unless you live in the middle of Wyoming or Alaska, perhaps)
I do have a video where I discuss why console design doesn't work in arcades and vice versa that might help highlight some of that: czcams.com/video/tI7TSsEozCs/video.html
@@knightmaremedia7795 Could that work? Perhaps but I'd still be skeptical. A system like that could be prone to piracy which would negate the advantage; That or consumers will just be fine in waiting six months and not bother with the arcade side (thus making us ops foot the big bill and be left holding the bag, like usually happens).
Everything always comes down to money though, so if a concept as you layout could make it, then it would fly. Only way to know would be to try it with some high-profile games but that's the other challenge - how do you convince complaines like Microsoft/ActiVision/EA/etc that it's worth the effort? They'd want to see huge profits coming from the arcade side, otherwise they wouldn't give a crap about saving the industry or any sort of noble sentiment. :/
There have been some standardized cabinets in the past, including ones with interchangeable control panels. The Hyper NeoGeo 64 and the Sammy Atomiswave both tried that but they ultimately failed. I think that part of the reason is that a really good arcade game can sit on site making money for several years, while a bad game is gone in a matter of months. If it's good, you don't want to change it out and give a chance to other games; If it's bad, you don't want to keep wasting money on bad games. Of course that's also the problem with accessories on the home side. Those tend to not sell well and it introduces some cost & risk that big companies can be averse to.
There is a concept out there already which does use Steam (as I recall) and a curated selection of games called Polycade (I've got a video of it but you can find others). Main difference from what you propose though is they don't really change the games from the console version. It's more of a timer. Last I heard, they only managed to sell 30 units, even though they've been around for 4 or 5 years (a good arcade game sells thousands in just a few months). I do think they'd be better off with exclusive content though.
Sorry if I sound like a Debbie Downer - I love the enthusiasm and looking to find a way to give arcades a boost! It's an interesting thought experiment too.
Gotta admit, ending was a bit naff I'd have thought Kara would survive with James
me too😭
Bruh It's Jason
This game is badass. I played it with my gurl at circus circus in Las Vegas. My gurl died but I was still goin ..I was knocking heads bro. I was in the zone
Needs a sequel.
After 2 years of trying I could finally finish this game. But my friend who has been playing with me all this time wasn’t there sit next to me when I finished the 4th chapter :,(
I wish this game is on Nintendo switch
I feel bad for the girl she seemed nice she was just afraid
Bruh I got the wrench part then the dark bit and died , didn’t put anymore in as just felt not worth it - very very fun though I loved it. Got killed by a zombie who swiped just as it got on screen hahah - at skegness on a few days holiday with the dogs
Great footage.
I just don't understand why people that enjoy zombie games also love crossbows as their primary weapon.
The actual physical gun is a crossbow too.
I wish they had actual automatic guns.
An early prototype version of the game used guns but as I recall, they wanted to make it different than House of the Dead 4
@@arcadeheroes_coinop That makes complete sense, cheers for clearing that up.

I feel like the game would be better if they gave you a choice to save people. Ether be a selfish jerk and let everyone die with no consequences or save people and get a health bonus.
Really wish this fine game would get a console port one day, if only! PS4 anyone!?
A little trick for you guys: you can reload while shooting so you won't ran out of bolt. I used to use this trick (i created it my self)
If their in a prison why didn’t they go to the guard’s armoury first to get guns instead of using a crossbow?
Sometimes I wish this is BIOHAZARD the Arcade

hoping this and jurassic park will be dump anytime soon...will be amazing on pc.
Without the cacophony of an entire arcade to mask it, this must be the most annoying launched crossbow bolt sound in all the video games.
Honestly still better than the walking dead Destiny
Too bad there is not a console version of this game.
Wah enak banget game ini
How did you get a direct capture from the arcade machine and is it available on MAME/home release?
