Little trick: By having a Nintendo account linked to a user that has beaten the game, you can use Pokémon HOME to transfer breeded Lv. 5 Pokémon to replace your starter ;) I sent an Eevee for the Normal type run

The only problem is that those pokemon will level up faster because they’re considered “traded” pokemon. Or at least, that’s what always happens to me when I do it

This was fun to watch, but I honestly think you should have dropped Bugs from the team the moment you got a mon that fit with Giovanni's team

I would like to see you try a Jessie or James run. Maybe Jessie specifically that might be a little less challenging largely thanks to Mimikyu and Wobuffet.

1. Thank goodness you finally removed Raboot. I was about to ask why you never removed it when you already had some of Giovanni's Pokemon.
2. I deeply respect that you were faithful to Giovanni's original team. You could have also used some of his Pokemon from Black and White 2 to make the run a bit easier, especially Krookodile. If you got one with Moxie, you would have swept most of the trainers a lot easier.
3. Why not use some moves to reduce enemy damage (e.g., Light Screen, Reflect) or those that increase your Pokemon's stats (e.g., Bulk Up)? While I know this isn't a Nuzlocke challenge, it would have still helped you in a major way. It will also act as an additional layer of defense aside from your Toxic Spikes strat.
4. You could have also used Stealth Rock in Kabu's gym and in the Leon final fight.

I agree with your points 😊 I believe it would of been better using the kanto team, and I honestly wanted to make use of my moves in case I dropped, though the speed buff at times would of been helpful. I could of used Stealth Rock with Aegislash to make use of king shield too! Kabu wasn’t needed though this would of helped also 🥰

I feel like Inteleon has the perfect vibe if Giovanni was trainer starting out in galar
why didn't you get kangaskhan, Rhyhorn or onix after you tried the nido's before first gym, you could always swap them out later but have more pokemon to work with.
onix at least has a good defence plus has curse, smack down and dragon breath before lvl 20 to at least get para/ some damage buffs as early game stats aren't as important.
Plus Kangaskhan is on the island of armour which scales down before you beat the game, which gives you a fake out and stomp and bite by 16 and headbutt by 24.
Also Rhyhorn is on the island of armour dlc potbottom desert.

I still like him Giovanni, he is equivalent of Bowser from Mario and Eggman from Sonic as an evil antagonist for Pokemon, he likes to take a break from battling for pokemon from time to time, but he always looking for a fight with his pokemon once again, probably going to get defeated every time you know.
This should basically be "can I beat the easiest Pokémon game with the most powerful Pokémon(Mewtwo)" lol

Also, as someone who just got all 8 badges last night in shield, I feel extremely bad for hop. Man literally wants to follow in his big brothers footsteps, but everyone he goes against just folds him cause they have more experience. even the MC, who started the same time as him, is already at an advantage all the time.

According to the Manga, it was discovered/decided that 6 is the optimal number to have in order to establish strong enough bonds with your Pokemon and considering there are only like... two Pokemon teams who hate their pokemon, it makes sense that he would stick with 6

Hey! Ground aren't weak correct. However, it's ground moves that have no effect on flying (makes them useless) and then Bug type pokemon are likely to have grass moves as well which puts ground at the disadvantage. Ground moves aren't very effective either. That's what I mean, I just haven't said it well xD

Hey! Ground aren't weak correct. However, it's ground moves that aren't effective, but Aquranid for example is water too, and any bug with grass moves won't be fun. (Not 100% certain to movesets however) That's what I mean, I just haven't said it well xD
