Just FYI the special edition for DMC5 adds Vergil as a playable character and multiplayer.
Yea and someone on another stream also mentioned there were more enemies on screen at one point. Not sure though. Never played it.
@@KingHealbilly Legendary Dark Knight mode. They can add a lot more enemies on screen at one time.
And there's more enemies and a horde mode if I'm not mistaken along with a harder mode I think .
The DMC 5 SE was for digitally at launch for ps5 and you get to play as Vergil
Yoshi P from the FF14 team is producer on FF16 and also the combat designer was hired from Devil May Cry 5 so that is why the combat looks similar.

825 is fine. SSD allows game developers to cut some data redundancies (unlike with regular hard drives now, where some parts of the data are being copied many times for faster access). Cerny has explained this in his presentation.
Both regular and digital PS5 versions have the same specs.
The SE of DMCV includes Vergil as the new playable character, among other features.
Seeing Brit so excited about resident Evil makes ME excited and I’ve never finished a Resident Evil title. Seeing people excited for a AAA title just makes me excited and ALWAYS reminds me why I LOVE Games.

The storage size of PS5 has been out there for ages, not sure how the WGG gang missed that info? You won't need a proprietary SSD drive to expand the PS5 storage. It will just have to meet a certain specs threshold. Info on this is scarce at this point. To play PS4 games off expandable storage you can use a normal old external drive. Same ones that work on PS4.

@@jcole1987 I owe you and the good people of What's Good Games an apology. I thought that it was confirmed by another source that the HD was 1TB but it appears that I was wrong. Since this is a new type of SSHD, the most affordable size they could create that also fit the method of how the system pulls information for streaming data was 825 GB.
I cried during GOW even though I knew it was gonna happen, just not this soon.
Demon Souls has easy mode with farming to level up or co-op. It only looked easy because there's always some super throw away enemies around in every souls game. Usually just undead soldiers.
I agree about backwards compatibility. While I would love to have all games in one happy box, its not like we'll play those older games with all these new ones coming out but it would still be nice to have lol.

Correct me if I’m wrong but ps plus and ps now are 60$ a year. If so I don’t want them bundled together. You can also find year subs for 30$ on holiday/sales(something I do every Black Friday). Changing it to 15$ a month/180$ a year with no improvements sounds like a bad deal to me.(saying nothing about game pass which look pretty good)
I usually get physical games, but that PS+ collection thing is looking like a strong contender for gamepass.
Backward compatibility might not only be for people who have already played the past gen games but for those games you missed out on that are considered gems that you still want to go back and play but you want the latest and greatest hardware for the new games. Everyone can’t play everything when it’s fresh and new. Time and money are factors for lots and lots of people. It doesn’t mean they don’t want to go back and play some of the oldies but goodies.

@@TheGoldenPS1 if by linear, assuming you mean the main story is linear. It’s most definitely an open-world looking game like the first one where you get to choose what you do and when, etc.
Do you guys know Moore's law is dead? He basically said on his podcast he was shocked to see Sony going this safe.
He has some source that both PS5 and Xbox Series X and S will get a last big event (over an hour long) in October or by the end of October to showcase UI, features and more new game announcements. He is especially shocked that Sony is still holding on that secret PS5 launch window title Mark Cerny is working on. It has been in development longer than Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart. It used to be one of PlayStation's tent-pole franchises.
This shows not only is PS5 super easy to work with it's the fastest console to work with since PS1 when PS2, PS3 and especially PS4 had slow dev cycles. GOW2: Ragnarok is going to show what PS5 is actually capable of and it's coming out holiday 2021.
Demon's Souls was confirmed on PS blog by creative director that the reimagining has been in development for almost three years, not longer.
External Development Department at Japan Studio was announced this year on new fiscal year on April 1. And Product Development changed to Internal Development Department. Uncommon for external group to have a development team collab with a external partner that's why External Development Department was established. Normally they have producers who collabs on projects with external partners like Bloodborne by From Software and Miyazaki for example.
Creative director of Demon's Souls is Gavin Moore who created Puppeteer for PS3. He has a team who is working on game design, art (including animation) and sound. The core team is Puppeteer team who enhanced into a Demon's Souls team since 2017. You have lot's of former lead From Software staff including original character designer for Demon's Souls, Dark Souls II, Bloodborne and Dark Souls III.
Bluepoint Games is working on graphics and tech.
According to Moore's law is dead Sony is also buying studios without any announcement yet. They are certainly messing around with MS because they have played this game of chicken during the whole pandemic.

I've never bought a Microsoft console, but I'm happy they're still somehow around to keep Sony and Nintendo honest. They've had some great initiatives, and healthy competition is always good. Owning a gaming PC, a Switch and a PS4 pro (preordered a PS5), I'm getting the best of all worlds. Looking forward to what this generation has to offer!

I agree with Andrea about the repeated games in the showcase (RE8, Oddworld, Deathloop). They didn't need to be there. I felt the same way about the second Xbox showing a month or so ago. I will say, though, that I was happy to hear of the post-show blog announcement that Horizon: Forbidden West will also be on PS4. It was the only game enticing me to get a PS5 down the line, and with that news I'll probably be able to save myself some money. EDIT: fixed the subtitle for Horizon

Maurice Fountain I love Oddworld so I liked that they revealed that Mullock and his Slig friend were alive after being Zapped in New N Tasty, that’s what that trailer was telling you, the games are really expensive for PS5, between £51 to £71. I think Horizon will run better on PS5, I think the backwards ports will not be as good, I remember the PS3 version of New n Tasty running really badly as it was designed for PS4, there seems to be some rollercoaster game for PS5 and that hasn’t been shown at all, and it’s the cheapest at £39, but from Sackboy at £ 59 to Godfall and DS at £69 the games are way overpriced for my liking.

Technically Cyberpunk won’t be available for nextgen consoles until early 2021, unfortunately. 42:47 I think it will be compatible with Series X and PS5 but it won’t be the nextgen version of the game but rather the current gen one. The launch lineup isn’t the best on either side, we’ll have to wait for more interesting content. I’ll be enjoying COD, Sackboy Adventure and Dirt 5 at launch.

Both consoles are the exact same just the drive and no drive, so for the price of the digital it's the perfect price. As for preorders that starts tonight/tomorrow. Demon souls it's a release title, not sure about what else is right now and about the SSD size it will be close to 1TB but the system holds some back for running it will be the exact same for Xbox even though they are saying "1TB"

It's a smart play because it's reiterating what we've known for years. No reason to own an Xbox if you have a decent PC. Sony is fine with titles being released for PC as long as they've got console dibs.
Actually as for the Hogwarts Legacy I legit think most of it was *not* a cinematic, it looked in engine.

Comments like these (along with all the leaks which ruin the surprise) are why many streamers and youtubers are way too subdued in their reactions. You can't be huge fans of every series, even the ones you've played; you're allowed to be wrong about certain details. Much better than people being too hesitant to react out of fear of getting something wrong. Those videos contribute nothing, it's like watching the original showcase stream all over again.
It doesn't seem like y'all even play video games. There is no soul, no content here lol.
