I just feel that if a game includes the gameplay in their opening, then it just ruins the opening for me. Especially for the persona series cause their opening is 2d anime and the 3d gamplay clips is like whiplash.

Because the two are incredibly similar and are the black sheep of the series.
I feel like P3, P4 and now to some extent P5 fans are so against each other (when they aren't being civil, which for the most I've seen, they've been much more civil these days), is because the games are so massively different. The Hashino team made sure each game was vastly different from the last, which I love and adore because it makes each game feel like a new experience. I personally prefer Persona 3 far more than 4 and 5, and I can say with confidence that I can't get into 4 and 5 nearly as much (though they're still fantastic games and deserve the praise) because of how different it is from P3 which happened to end up my favourite even after constantly replaying P5 (for context, I played P5 first, crucify me if you'd like, I was introduced to the series in 2018 and now it's one of my favourites). I know this comment is 6 years old, but since P5R is coming out in America in mere months and the height of the Persona 5 fanbase is bigger than ever, this topic becomes more and more relevant. I'm going to predict that a lot of P5 fans will be alienated because it's the one casual audiences are attracted to more, and the fans of older games will be more harsher towards the "normie Phantom Fags" as I've heard them be called by particularly toxic P3 fans. At the end of the day though, P1 and 2 fans will sit idly by because their biggest concern is that Atlus won't give their part of the series any love aside from vague, minor references in other games. God bless to the originals.

Cyborg KiWi Yeah, i used to think school was bad... but it was not until end of year 11 (im almost at the end of year 12 atm) when i started to despise it, no creativity at all, you would think that psychology would be one of the most open subjects because how our brains work is extremely complex, although it is the most narrow/structured subjects you could ever learn, it consitsts of learning a bunch of people's opinions which are considered scientific only because they wrote it in a special way, it is extremely contradictory to itself and what you're basically doing is writing definitions "word.for.word" or how to write a research report properly (practically english class!!), you don't even learn how to help people with their problems (practical skills) which is the whole point of a psychologist in the first place!
Well this is under Australian education system anyway... not sure how other countries deal with the stuff but i suspect its generally the same

Yeah this game being remastered would probably be a saving grace. The game isn’t bad but I almost stopped playing this game multiple times cause of how frustrating it is. If the remake fleshed out the characters, fixed the gameplay while adding a few things to the story, it could definitely be one of the better games in the franchise

The remake for psp barely got made. Problem is most of the fanbase didnt play the original games. Which makes sense, since the ps1 version is awful but the PSP one is good. Still a large majority of the persona and megaten fanbase didnt play 1 and 2. Theres almost no way they could put the time and effort into those games without taking a hit to the company unless they know people will buy it

I do remember that in P4A and P4D the characters can get skins/alt colors of other Persona characters. That's about it off the top of my head.

Esteban Rosado he is reference in the ingame MMO Innocent Sin Online as the players avatar, Maya is referenced aswell. P1 and P2 are overlooked, the first game by today's standards is archaic. I haven't seen or played P2, but I hear it's better than P1, if we were to disregard the PSP remakes.

i agree. P3 and P4 are both great games and i enjoyed them both, but i think they milked them long enough, P4 especially. i think they should do more with P1 & P2 as well.

P2 was my personal favorite of the persona series. Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment are equal in greatness to me. I'm also very excited for p5, looks awesome.

And it's true, everyone that owns Smash knows Joker now. And it doesn't become an Earthbound situation because the game is still relevant. Bottom line is that a huge amount of the gaming market now recognizes and is potentially interested in the Persona series, if only just P5.

The mainline Megaten community talks about this game a bit more than the Persona community, mainly since it's more in line with a traditional Megaten game. And because its PSX OST is filled with bangers.

No, it means that people are searching Persona a lot more recently and this is a video with Persona in the title by Atlus. CZcams doesn't have any sort of under the hood information that would lead to it changing its recommendations for future unannounced transgressions.

I like how it shows both sides of the story, the beginning of the opening being maki / SBEEC focused but when the tone of the song changes we see it branch off into images of a school freezing over and seeing chairs in the background instead of SBEEC related stuff, as the opening is now referencing the SQQ part of the story. I also like how maki is literally snatched away by a hand before a continuous square loop (like when entering the TV world) is played followed with snow particles within this. Showing both possible routes in the game.

The calendar and social link system won't work in P1/P2 story setting. Especially Snow Queen route would'nt work in it at all, since all of it cannonicaly takes plays during 1 day (half of the day, even, since at the end it's heavily implied that Nanjo want to go save Masao at Police Station, thus starting the SEBEC route).

This really feels like 2 openings spliced together into one, one for the SEBEC route and one for the Snow Queen route. I think it would have been interesting to have this opening as is until the player locks into one of the routes then change to the appropriate opening for that route

No wonder the opening is stylish and has a lot of subtle hints of the plot. The studio(Kamikaze Douga) that animated this also did the jojo part 1/2/3 opening.

I don't know if it'd be that big of a finical success. Most fans and Atlus themselves don't acknowledge the existence of the first two(or three), so that's one less thing going for it. Since these games extremely old, and they aren't like what people are familiar with, they'd need major overhauls. It'd require way more effort, for instance a P3 remake
I just got the game for my Vita and I’ve begun playing it for the first time. Coming from Persona 5, Persona 1 is seriously underrated.

I apologise for the stupidity of the other reppliers. Actually the song itself reinforces the themese of the games. It's about Freudian psychology, the I'd, the ego, repressed emotions and how people wear different persona or masks in order to fit in when in actuality they are just wearing masks. But that kind of doesn't answer your question.
The song itself is more about living in a dream world and enjoying it because reality is....subpar. backed up by Greek philosopher Aristotle "to percieve Is to suffer" and also the opening quote of the game about the butterfly dream is another philosophical question is what is reality are we really in reality or are we just dreaming. But even if we are dreaming I am enjoying this dream so I'd rather stay here. I'm mostly just talking about the English parts to so there is probably more.
