@@LRaines All the places he "walked up to", are the popular places that locals would like to go on their weekend, if you are imagining there are invisible heads, come to China figure it out yourself, see if there any so called "monitoring".
The places are indeed the best spots in Chengdu, but who will go to a foreign country and try hard to find the filthy places to film? Only western media would do that, LOL.
@@LRaines That doesn't fully explain the quotation marks. It is a quite simple context in your post, and I don't think all the places he walked up to are "told to be ready", although some of the places are, we usually call it "appointment", right?

@@LRaines There is no regularation in China about playing and taking photos with strgener's children. As long as people appear to be friendly, parents would not be very alerted about it. I am not saying there is no need to have a regularation, but this behaviour can not proof that all his tour are “designed”.

I really don't like the editing that mimicks TV shows. The way he invites himself to someone else's party (at the beginning in the park), someone else's table (in the restaurant, where he tries something he clearly doesn't like) or at the very end where he gets a drink and leaves without paying, is, to say the least, weird. It seems the whole show is about him.
Plus some obvious mistakes, like when he says the guys play "chess" (it was go, of course).
The best part was the errors, that part was genuine.
Finally a blogger that gives China a more positive image! China is actually more advance than most people think and also wealthier now
@Green Scenery Yes and no but if you look at infrastructure, AI, digital finance , electric cars and so on they are far ahead of most western countries with a mandate to be fully develop by 2050 .

@@leolopez860 As a Chinese, I think in some technical field China is advanced than many western countries,like space technology, high-speed rail and 5G, however we also have some disadvantage areas like chip. China are taking a lot of effort to develop those unadvanced areas in order to make Chinese people leading a better life.

It is amazing that you can do live streaming even in those very rural areas in China. It is no way to do the same in other countries not in the US or Canada. The 5G towers are installed everywhere including the most rural locations.
Chengdu isnt Rural, its basically a gateway to the world. But yes, the infrastructure is booming over there

So why is 65% of power is generated by coal ,and you are building 60 more coal fired power stations instead of nuclear

Sichuan is a region with abundant amount of hydraulic power stations. Nevertheless, China as a nation is the one harvesting a great amount of solar and wind powers. The scale of solar and wind power farms is leading the world .
