In defense of mrs.puff... spongebob is a straight 'A' student aside from the driving tests. In the episode where patrick walks him through it he doe amazing. Even being used to the course and being talked to you would have to be a hell of a driver to that.
Also he can apparently drive perfectly well while blindfolded
I guess his greatest weakness is his panic and anxiety of the test. Anxiety has to be an affect of pollution right?

As far as I can remember if you get poisoned by some chemicals then you are more vulnerable to anxiety, stress, mood shifting etc.

I think those flower clouds are metaphors. They are metaphors for clouds in the SpongeBob world, and it would be impossible that these things would be oil anyway. The sky would be messed up. In the SpongeBob world, the sky is clear blue in spite of the colorful flowers.
While this was likely not the show runners ideas from the beginning, this is definitely one of your strongest theories.
Also; Another idea is that SpongeBob is a manmade sponge, rather than a natural one, much like (most of) global warming is. Just something I noticed.

Yea, the western world is in the overwhelming lead when it comes to cutting back on carbon footprints and emissions. Most emissions come from Russia and China.

Texas is actually the number 1 state in wind energy and number 2 in solar energy, bringing it to the nation's leading state for renewable energy.
It's just more thought of for its oil since that's the history and the place it was in when Texas culture became famous. The state has changed, but it's reputation hasn't.

It has adult jokes in it that go over kids heads. It’s a family show enjoyed by all ages when given a chance. The first seasons are very well written.

Also it's been proven that excess fishing equipment whenever fishers gather a huge amount of fishing is a major leading cause of pollution. Far more than plastic ever was.

Most of this is a stretch. He says America and Canada don't care abt pollution. Yet we are some of the most caring. Majority of co2 and ocean pollution comes from mainly China and India.

In one of the episodes sandy tells spongebob that the clouds in the sky are indeed flowers so you probably skipped the episode
He goes on to say they aren’t flowers even though that’s what they look like. And then says they can’t be clouds because clouds don’t look like that (even though it’s a cartoon and plenty of things in the show don’t look the same irl. All the characters despite being completely different species are all about the same size even though irl they aren’t. Like pearl the WHALE is not that much bigger than the rest) and then says it’s OIL?! That explanation makes the least sense. They look nothing like oil. He said they did because they colored. But oil on water is like a rainbow all the colors not just one for each splotch.

Saying it’s just a cartoon is kind of dismissive. Yes it’s primary audience is kids but it has hidden adult jokes kids won’t understand and it’s written by adults. There’s a lot of things the writers do that’s more deep than at first glance

even if the theory is streched and 100% not the case if you look at interview videos of the show's production, i still think this is a great POV that you can think about. it's very well thought at the indications instead of being a ridiculous theory like most other cartoon theories and at the main charaters part the section becomes educational and is explained in a way that is very easy to understand

@@atomicmark no America is not doing the most that’s laughable. I’d say Norway is but I’d have to do more research to say which country is doing the best to stop global warming but it’s definitely not America that produces a huge amount of pollution and global c02 emissions. A lot of countries with high pollution are partly from western countries like America sending our trash to those countries.
