Ninjago Season 9 sets were first released in April in Europe, but won't be released until August 1 in the Americas. I bought this set from the UK-based IWOOT site thanks to this notification at Brickset: brickset.com/article/36458

I actually like the sword pieces on the dragon, it makes it more different to the other dragons, which I think is a good thing

Youâre analysis is right on. The usable depth of the structure is very generous and the detail on all sides is very well done. Iâm bored with structure thatâs only four or six studs deep.

The dragon kind of reminds me of a Pit Bull. I think that's what they're going for with the facial features.
Also, the sword pieces may or may not have been used as blinders, like how racehorses use. Alternatively, they may just be horns.

I love this set. Unfortunately it won't fit into my budget this year unless it's on a super sale but I love this entire wave of Ninjago sets. I love how much space this set has to pose figures, it's solid from all angles and has more depth than we usually get. I agree with every point made in this video.
Very mad-max feel to this series
My initial expectations for this set weren't very high, but I have to say I am very pleasantly surprised! High level of detail, well implemented play features, fantastic minifigs, and good value all in one package!

Mad max Lego sets
Wow this set is great. Iâm not a Ninjago fan, but this is awesome. Aaah I really love the direction they went with this set and I hope hope hope they keep this trend going.
Absolutely love this set, Iâm getting it soon. I think itâll look great on display as well as great for kids to actually play with it as well. Really amazing set all around in my opinion.
I agree with you Jang. I wish lego with all their structure sets not just in ninjago but all themes would have good thick structures with lots of room. I would take that over tons of action features any day.
They should have used a stud shooter for HeavyMetals gun... so that you could actually shoot
It would look dumb that way and it 100 percently would not shoot even that far

I don't even like Ninjago, but I like watching Jang's breakdowns so I'll watch this one too.
The less is more concept in full effect with this set with regards to the gimmicks; I approve! Not a gimmick, but a head-scratching design choice where LessIsMore was not observed is the swords on the eyes of the earth dragon. It looks so much better without them, but of course that is easily done if one wants.
i really respect the ammount of detail and finish in this set! even the dragon manages to look cool and formidable despite the small size.

Nice details, always a pleasure for me at least to see sets as nice as these, I do believe Lego is improving in a lot of areas. Just fills me with nostalgia to see those flick-fire missiles.
Man I would love to get four of these and make it a full circle enclosed dragon pit.

Totally agree Jang, the whole thing looks better being wider and more finished with details, looks far better value. I haven't bought the jurassic house (can't remember number) as I feel nothing to it!!! Think I'll get this one and with a bit of magic will become part of my aztec lost world!! I love the idea of focusing on the build and using imagination for play rather than full of gimmicks however something tells me the dragon skull should be able to snap close on the seater

can you please add a price/pound value in the slide at the beginning of each video. You should still keep price/piece but I fell like price per pound is more accurate in determining the actual value of a set. If you do then thank you, and if you don't, I can understand that you don't want to change the format of the slide.

Ninjago is not a series I follow, but this may be a set I get for parts if buying it is going to send a message to that this is something Iâd like to see more of.
I agree with you that the set has the right amount of details and actions. The minifigures are also very nice, especially Wu and Chewtoy!

In general, I personally like this current wave of Ninjago sets (and Ninjago City docks). Nice sets, good value for money. Keep up the good work!

Hopefully they do this extra space to play in with other sets. I remember in the 80âs they had depth and details.

Jang, you did not mention this in the video, but I believe that the module on the left is a jail cell on top, and you turn the knob to release the captive ninja into the pit with the dragon

On the dragon head they should have put the scimitar with its point facing down (so the other way to what it officially is) then printed the eye onto the scimitar piece.

hey Jang. I just picked this up as it was $250NZD and now it has come down to $169NZD in one store so I had to get this as we missed out on Samuri X Cave and this is a big set like that.
These minifigs are hella dope, the set is cool too
This could be a outpost of the Scavs from the Mad Max videogame, especially with the bad guy mini figs
Any of the sections detached would make a great base build on their own

The little dragon is actually more sinister because maybe it's a hungry baby dragon, being trained to consume people at the delight of it's cruel masters.

I do think it's better to have more room and detail rather than having more shooting stuff and play features, I don't know for the other kids but I think this promote more imaginative play.
