@max marrero, where are you coming up with those numbers? Each of those supercapacitors can hold roughly .5 watt hours of energy (2 watt hours total). I assumed 2/3rds of that energy can be extracted per charge cycle and I assumed a 8-10 watt hour-sized smartphone battery.

2 parallels of 2 series aren't enough to fully charge a phone. You'd need at least 10 to 20 parallels of 5.4V supercapacitors to match even one tiny li-ion power bank because charging module will stop working after the voltage drop to 4.5 volts. So, you're using only about 15% of each supercapacitor at best. You'd get better results making a led flashlight than a phone charger.

Thats why you would need a boost converter with a regulator of some sort most likely lm317 for more current and adjustable voltage if wanted. And based on the inductor on the bottom of this guys board i would assume he followed a similar concept

In this serial connection, the voltage adds up to 2.7V x 4 = 10.8V. The video creator uses a module for charging lithium-ion batteries (18650). This module acts as a Battery Management System (BMS) because it interrupts the charging when the voltage reaches 4.2V; the supercapacitors are not even half charged at that point.

What happens to the Fahrad rating when two supercapacitors are connected in series to double the voltage? (A: It halves)
If you want to double the voltage found in one fully charged supercapacitor, and still keep the Fahrad rating printed on that supercapacitor, you'd need 4 supercapacitors of the same rating: Two pairs, each pair initially connected in series, and then the pairs wired in parallel to each other.

A typical 5000 mAh battery stores 14400 Coulomb charge considering 80% efficiency , where as the capacitor bank is capable of storing 1350 Coulomb. So the power bank needs to be charged more than 10 times to charge the battery once. If we try to make a capacitor bank which capable of charging a cell phone battery in a single charge we have to use a lot of capacitor!!

I purchased several powerbanks some years ago. When I purchased, it was fine, but I didn't need much, I just kept them charged. In 3 years I should have charged them some 12 times only. When I needed them to really work, they were dead. They lost almost all their capacity. Like a cellphone, the battery only lasts 3 years, if you use it or not. The greatest stupidity is to purchase a powerbank and not use it. With supercapacitors, we don't have this problem. They have thousands of cycles, and they don't deteriorate when not used.
