"Great tits do not migrate"
you're a bigger man than me Daniel, how did you resist that set up
🤣
"Yeah! You got that right! It's a solid D!"
I had to double back when she said that
Lmao
Seriously! I had like seven zingers pop straight into my brain🤣
Daniel's cats should be given an award for still having their sanity...
bro rlly commented without even watching the whole vid
pfft honestly 😂
They used betterhelp
What makes you so sure they still have their sanity? Maybe they're just biding their time.
A sane cat is a psychopathic murder machine wrapped in a fuzzy wuzzy onesie with retractable claws and pointy teeth...
“Try 95%, dragonflies are nature’s most successful predators”
“Good thing they’re tiny”
*new phobia unlocked*
Jokes on u I've always been afraid of dragonflies
@@rivercat26 they also bite humans lol
@@SuperFlawless2010 where I grew up there was a season every year where a dozen dragonflies (the big ones) would just drop dead round my house. Dead dragonflies everywhere. Try not being a little bit afraid of them after that
FUN FACT: From the Carboniferous to the Permian. there were giant "dragonflies" called Griffinflies. One of the largest insects ever known was named Meganeuropsis and it was a griffinfly. It had a foot long wingspan and a body length of 1'5". If you want some extra fun, search up Arthropleura.
Please tell me if i missed anything or was incorrect!
Prehistoric era dragonflies were oppressive to the then smaller mammals roaming the earth. Glad the oxygen levels decreased...
I think we need to replace the show "Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?" with a brand new show: "Are You Smarter than a Cat?"
Actually this is more like a huge statistics example. The cats had 50% chances to guess correctly and they did guess 50% + 1 questions correctly, 16/31.
@@Vexy93 🤓
@@turbo_marcshut up
Because this lets people be dumber
“Are you smarter than a Daniel?”
My favorite thing is that at the beginning of the video he says only 10 are false, so he could have guessed true every time and gotten 21/31.
bro i just commented the same thing
Big brain energy right here
I'd assume that they didn't give him that information before recording.
@@Raffeldy Rewatch the start of the video
@@mrleaf6055 Well, yea, but that could still be recorded after the questions, even though I have to admit that it doesn't seem like it...which makes my previous comment kinda stupid. Oh well... 😆
I just found it so funny Daniel was beefing with literal cats 😂
Exhibit A: 5:54 😂
Yeah, shoulda been Daniel vs cows, I agree
His random words as the professor during the ad read was very funny.
He somehow made it sound convincing too🤣🤣🤣
Bro these cats are way too smart, they gonna take over the world 💀
Hate to be that guy but surely if they were answering randomly surely there score was in the expected range
havent they already?
They already have. Free food delivered, free roam? They already rule
@@snake2428_you are correct, 15 or 16 was exactly the amount of correct answers we would expect with each one being 50/50.
They already did.
I just want cuddle them cats.

Is it just me, or is Daniel's sketches after the sketch, starting to get better than the actual sketches? I'm not saying the actual sketches are bad, it's just the after sketches are amazing
well this one is not a sketch tho
i dont think that you know the defintion of a sketch
yes, the sketch in his post-sketch commercial is hilarious and drips with ingenuity
The sketches after the sketches have always been amazing.
As the math says; Cats scored exactly as expected.. Daniel though, he did his best 👍
1:10 I'm surprised Daniel didn't say, "You're *kitten* me"
You’ve cat to be kitten me
@@pengiunanimatorguy1707 lol
7:31 that can’t be right though. The last dinosaurs standing were the small raptors that evolved into our modern birds.
exactly!
Birds already had evolved by the time the dinosaurs died out, so Triceratops almost certainly outlived their last non-bird ancestor by quite a large margin. But arguably the answer is still wrong due to the fact that it didn't specify non-avian dinosaurs, and thus modern birds render their answer false
@@acenomadic Modern birds are not dinosaurs.
The fact appears to be from a clickbait news headline. The actual fact is that triceratops as a species were doing fine before the asteroid impact and therefore died because of it. Other dinosaurs would obviously be alive at the same time, but the study was on triceratops fossils and the news needed clickbait.

2:00 BRO WHAT HAPPENED TO THE CAT?!?!?!?!?
Much appreciation for Daniel shedding light onto how gifted most house cats truly are at random zoology trivia.
DAMN, such smart cats. I wonder how they got so smart-
They have the intellect of 9 different cats.
They used betterhelp
they died 8 times and gained more intelligence after each death.

The skit selling betterhelp is probably better help than betterhelp actually is.
“Look at me, I’m perfectly sane!”
*not even two seconds later*
“ *MERCH* 👹👹”
THE WAY THE CAT LEVITATED-
I was genuinely upset when she said the dragon flies having 9% catch rate question I'm like NO DONT DO MAH BOYS LIKE THAT THEYRE AMAZING
9:39 “now you all probably think that 12 comes after the number 11, and you’d be correct, it goes 11, 12 and then I think it’s 13? Just take the square root of splant, divided by honda cnivic, carry the slug, and your two measures work- *unintelligible* and that’s where babies come from. I was walking in the woods yesterday, and- *unintelligible* And now for the Pythagorean smyrum you start with chocolate milk of course, followed by vanilla”
You are brilliant
"Good thing they're tiny!" Our boy here's clearly never heard of the Meganeura (ancient species of dragonfly about size of a medium breed dog)
9:33 “yeahh you got that right it's a solid d” lol
😂
Considering a Z-test of proportions, the difference in the success ratio between Daniel and his cats is not statically significant.
Also, both values are not statistically different from 50%, which is the expected value if one chooses the answer in a random fashion. Hence, neither Daniel nor the cats knew what they were doing.
Henceforth and thereover
That's a sick math burn!
I WANT A FULL NONSENSE LECTURE FROM PROFESSOR THRASHER
Picking at random, you'd expect the cats to get about half of them right.
A solid D for DDDaniel! 😂
im taking out my pen and guzzling down some wine
Every company that wants to succeed should just hire Daniel to do their advertising. It's the only time I consistently don't skip
All in favor of more content where the cats play a central role like this.
i'm going to walk into work saying "look at me i'm perfectly sane"
1:10
technically, if they have 4 noses, then they DO have 3 noses
"The triceratops was the last dinosaur standing"
Birds are dinosaurs, and they still exist, making them the last dinosaurs standing. Right? Or is there something I missed here?
You're right! Birds are dinosaurs so each extant species are still the last ones standing
I had to scroll so far to find this.
Crocodiles too and some other lizards
@@aguywithalotofopinions412 Nope. Crocodiles and lizards are both outside the group considered dinosaurs. Crocodiles are closer though, being placed alongside dinosaurs (including birds) in the larger group of archosaurs ("ruling reptiles").
@@aguywithalotofopinions412crocs are not dinosaurs and neither are any lizards, closely related as they may, they were around before dinosaurs. All non-avian dinosaurs went extinct, all lizards and crocodiles are not avian.
7:22 Birds: am I a joke to you?!
"Look at me, I'm perfectly sane"
I... am not too sure about that Daniel....
Daniel is my mentally unstable happy place
Love that the kittys were featured in a video. It’s a great day when Daniel posts
5:00 herm herm herm
Hmmm
yehehe 9/11
Hmmm
7:05 That's the whole reason they rotate their heads, because their eyes can't move. I feel like evolution should have just made eyes that CAN move but I guess literally having your head on a swivel is cooler anyways.
I have some nitpicking.
1) The Babarusa does not get impaled by its horns, it gets impaled by its tusks.
2) Triceratops was not the last dinosaur standing because a: it went extinct at the same time as many other species of non-avian dinosaurs, and b: some species of dinosaurs survived the mass extinction and have living dinosaur descendants today, namely birds, which are classified as therapod dinosaurs.
Ermagerd! I've loved your little skits and songs but I gotta say I really loved this, too. You're a real guy! Who knew?
And your cats are adorable.
9:01 Love the off-camera ‘yay’.
I love how BetterHelp keeps sponsoring Daniel, like they know how much all of his fans need therapy...
I thought this was going to be a skit about those buttons people get their pets to teach them to talk and it goes horribly wrong. Could you make that for me?
I’m in Missouri, I just had a very serious talk with my dog about harassing the squirrels in the backyard.
daniel just here to remind you, keep up the great work, ignore the haters
It's funny how the cats guessed right about half the answers with a 50% chance
And, also, the triceratops was _not_ the last dinosaur left standing because birds exist. It was maybe the last _non-avian_ dinosaur to die out, but birds _are,_ in fact, a branch of theropod dinosaurs.
2:01 Why did the cat float away-
I'm dying. 😭
5:31 NO!
It’s weird watching a Daniel Thrasher video with different characters that all don’t look like Daniel.
If you answer "true" every time, you'll always get 21/31.
I don't see how the triceratops is the last one standing when friggin birds exist.
Gotta love the visuals and editing on the intro.
Where I study both those scores are a passing grade so it was funny to hear "F minus" for the cats lol
I'm gonna have a cat take all my true false quizzes for me from now on
the purrrrrrfect video
I think accounting for inflation the cats might have won that art question
I love that the cats got as close to 50% of the questions right as possible, and daniel was still losing
5:00 that surprise blew me away…
Somebody save Daniel's cats from the horror that is Daniel's workspace
This is honestly the only channel in which I watch and enjoy the sponsor adds❤
ah yes, the two emotions- happy and angry
It probably doesn't help your numbers, but I'll tell you the best way to view your videos is watch a couple, go away a couple weeks, come back and watch a couple more, ad nauseum. Reason being it seems to lead me into appreciating just how special your comedy is far more than if I watched them immediately on their release.
The triceratops one can't be true considering that birds are still around, so the last dinosaur standing hasn't gone extinct yet
they finally have this time to shine.. they always shows up as background character for every daniel's video and now they are given the chance to show their intellect
another amazing ad. (i almost liked it more than the vid lol. beard guy dancing. the way the professor devolved into garble words or unexpected words. i mean, it was a whole ass movie!)
The fact that I knew lobsters urinate from their faces because these fuckers sniped me from afar way too many times in Elden Ring, is terrifying and hilarious at the same time.
Daniel I applaud your cats for getting a 16/31 when I would’ve got a 10/31😢🤣
No

"Look at me I'm perfectly sane"
*Proceeds to vanish*
I love how she rootes for the cats
The cats said "this one that is dangling more aggressively right in front of my muzzle". "Also, always the pink one"
4:59 (cat pun opportunity missed)
"You're KITTEN me right MEOW!"
2:03 the cat, but why?!? I laughed so much omg
Technically speaking, modern day birds are still classified as dinosaurs so the triceratops question is wrong
Candice does such a good job reading the questions.
Remember from the trial of the towel kid, he got sentenced to a "30 years of Candice".
There was a 6.3% chance for the cats to get those results from pure chance in the first half. Theyre up to something
How can elephants be right or left trunked when they. They only have one trunk? They only have one right? I'm scared of the implications that they somehow have more than one trunk
i know right. I'm so confused and I kept thinking I was maybe reading it wrong or I didn't fully understand it but I just couldn't think how I could be misunderstanding it. I kept saying to myself, they only have one trunk, so how could they be left or right trunked, like we are left or right handed?
I was also like Daniel, why didn't you stop and say "What?" when she said that Elephants can be left or right trunked..." I was so confused as to why he thought that question was normal.
I have a feeling they meant tusks but I'm still confused as to why neither of them was confused by the question.
0:50 Technically true. It CAN happen, but their tusks can also just ricochet off their skull and grow back outwards harmlessly
That babirusa fact reminds me of a torture method used in an Iain M. Banks Culture novel (might be Consider Phlebas).
But a failed assassin gets his canines replaced with fast growing teeth that eventually curve round and pierce his skull.
"It's your anxiety masquerading as ADHD"
Will you please never call me out like that in an ad again xD
7:29 no that's false. **Maybe** the last non-therapod dinosaur left? But birds are theropod dinosaurs. The 'last dinosaur left' is a very annoying question because dinosaurs never went completely extinct. Justice for Daniel on that one lol. (source, I am an archosaur paleontologist)
That’s why owls can move their heads that far in the first place. Because their eyes are fixed.
He could’ve gotten a better score by saying true to everything.
My favourite fun facts are that raccoons fan fit into a space of 4 inches in diameter and about the dragonfly one. Insects are super interesting and so are trash pandas
the cats are paid actors.
Fun Fact: Most birds cant move their eyes as well as we can, so head movement is a big part of their vision, owls arent alone in having crazy flexible necks
I looked it up: hippo milk is white like most mammals, but they also have blood sweat which is reddish and that might’ve mixed with milk
Last dinosaur was raptors. Theyre still here. Daniel got them!
Why is no one talking about him putting his cat down like two minutes in maybe but it just flys up😂😂
I wander along and I got all of them left
F for Felines, D for Daniel. All is good.
There should be more of these, these are cool
What the frick does "worry a squirrel mean?" Is it to literally harass a squirrel
Daniel you are soo funny! I looove your shorts! 😂
"It works for humans too"
Someone behind the camera
3:54 no one tell him about griffin flies
It's cool how much he knows about animal facts and science
"The Triceratops was likely the last dinosaur left standing."
From the article I've found (that also claimed this) the Triceratops is "the last known non-avian dinosaur of the Cretaceous." because an example was found that was the youngest non-avian dinosaur fossil by a couple million years. However, it is still from before the KT impact. So "He and all of the other researchers, however, suspect that more recent dinosaurs even closer to the K-T boundary will be found in the future." So it is the youngest dinosaur fossil found (by 2011 where the article is from), but that doesn't mean there weren't lots of other dinosaurs. We just haven't found their fossils. So "last dinosaur left standing" is at best a badly worded fact.
"The triceratops is likely the last dinosaur left standing"
[True]
CROCODILES WOULD LIKE TO KNOW YOUR LOCATION
Let’s also appreciate the questioner's voice, it was so soothing ☺️
No offence, but her voice irritated me for some reason.
