This is about the same age as when she met the little girl in the Middle East. Even at this age her passion for music, as well as her commitment to her calling, is mind blowing. Also, thanks for not comparing artists. I have a lot of respect for you.

What blows my mind every time I watch this video is to think about the fact that this is a 1st grader (6 years old) who was READING from a lyric sheet and singing at the same time in her second language. How many 6 year olds do you know who can even read fluently, not to mention in a second language and then singing at the same time. It is absolutely mind blowing to me. Great reaction.

This was one of the most amazing performances I've ever seen by a young child. This was Angelina's first time in a studio and there were no nerves whatsoever. She was thrilled to be there and her genius Talent was on full display.
There has been a lot of confusion about her age with many here thinking she was six. I also thought the same until a couple of months ago when I was corrected by Rusty Shackelford, who is intimately familiar with Angelina's history. He told me that Angelina had already turned seven when she did this performance. Regardless, it was legendary!

She definitely didn't sound like a six year old, but she was. Her first time in a studio and she killed it. I bet she got it perfect the second time, but we don't have that recording. And even though she messed up, she just kept going like a professional.

I think it's rusty that insists that she is 7 years old here but the rest of us say she is 6... Some say even 5.
I am going by the tooth positioning method of aging and of aging and unless this this is a reverse image video, She cannot be 7, But at some time when she had lost the opposite front tooth prior.... I guess technically she could be 7 as she started to do Norway's got talent .

These videos are posted on Mery’s channel with an age in at least one title. That seems to be pretty official authority to me, until something more credible is presented.

Mery released it 3 yrs later. Remember that most kids & her around this age are still learning to read &
write in her own language (Norwegian) & she was also learning Farsi (Persian) & Swedish & English some Japanese & she's still learning her 4 instruments, etc etc (now 5 instruments) She's 6 almost 7 years old. She did this about a year before NGT. It’s hard to grasp that at times. Angie has been the driving force behind Angie. God gave her the gifts & she keeps them sharp & in shape so not to lose them or take advantage of the gifts. (kind of like the adage: “lose it if you don't use it” She doesn't take it or anything God gave her for granted. Angie at this age, has already more class & character beyond most adults now a days. I’ve come to the conclusion that Angie sings like an instrumentalist, combined with narrative music. Another reason she’s so especially rare & great. Thank God our heavenly father for her & for Angie understanding that early on.
I'm very much like you, Samantha, in that each new song I hear from Angelina becomes my favorite. My all time #1 favorite "list" grew to well over 50 songs. I finally settled on one favorite this summer ... "Love on the Brain" from her July 10, 2022 concert in Kurbadhagen. The Elin Men recording is zoomed in, allowing us to better see Angelina's facial expressions and passion. Great reaction Samantha. You were correct about the videographer… it was her Grandma. She’s been behind the camera since she was little. Angelina has more than 170 songs on her cover channel, and probably HALF of them were filmed by her Grandma - her “inspiration”, her “best friend”, and her “everything”. These are all words Angelina has used to describe her Grandma (Mery Zamani) and they have been inseparable since Mery introduced Angelina to jazz music at the age of two-and-a-half!
Many of Angelina’s recent videos were produced by her Grandma. Like Angelina, Mery was a child prodigy, excelling at poetry and art since she herself was six. ❤️❤️❤️

Angelina was 6 or maybe just 7 years old here. Isn't that amazing? It was recorded in her after school music program studio and the "technician" is probably one of the teachers. Angie's grandmother, who introduced her to jazz, videoed 4 or 5 of these sessions, but I think this one is the best. BTW, Angie's mom has said that Angelina never had voice lessons for fear of destroying her natural voice. Angelina is self-taught, although she has taken some advice in order not to hurt her vocal cords.
The way she sings "I love you" gets me every time. And to think that I was still perfecting my dirt clod technology at that age... :)

You can see that she is reading the lyrics and performance notes and still delivering this powerful rendition. Her grandma was probably the one recording this, on her little camcorder, she said Angelina was just 6 years old here, but more probably 7 or even 8 years old. What I would like to see now is Angelina singing this with Tom Jones - that would be really epic...
A couple other recordings were made in the same studio that appear to be from the same day. This seems to be the most polished of them. Whereas Angelina competed at NGT at age 7 and seems more developed there than here (imho), I think 6yo would be accurate here.

Angelina is 6, maybe going on 7 in this video - this was way before her first appearance on Norway's Got Talent when she was 7 years old - she was just starting to lose her baby teeth which generally happens around age 6 and the new teeth grow in about 7 - that is why she had on the large front tooth during her first appearance on Norway's Got Talent.
Since grandma appears in the video I think maybe her mama did the recording.

According to Superfan Rusty Shackleford Angelina had just turned 7 years old and this was recorded before she appeared on NGT. She had been in this booth at school when she was 6 singing Adele's SKYFALL and ROLLING IN THE DEEP and did quite well
Not only her 1st take of this song it was her 1st time in studio... Many believe this was the 3rd song she did in that 4 song Session.
Possibly after this experience with this session this did become her safe and wanted place.... In studio are odd stage recording and singing.
Different clothing and lighting in some of the videos suggests more than one session around this age. No less impressive.

Samantha, Angelina's Grandmother, brought her to a Recording Studio for the first time went she was 6 yrs old. Her Grandmother also shot this video while Angelina sang in English, "I Who Have Nothing;" her native language is Norwegian. After the recording, Angelina omitted to the Recovering Engineer that she hadn't learned some of the English (lyrics)words. It’s nice to see you doing anther AJ reaction. No matter how many people try to convince themselves and others, that artistry can be judged by two or more people, on a equal basis, it is either judged, based on each person’s feelings/connection or based how they were told or how they feel they must judge it to fit in. One thing for sure Angelina’s Angels love her and her music. Any praise is welcomed and occasionally, due to that love, negative comments are frowned upon. No one can please everyone ❤️
Many people say that this was her first time in a studio, but I think that's largely based on a misunderstanding of the conversation at the end (as well as some other things). The recording engineer is clearly referring to this being her first time singing *this song* (i.e., a first take), not her first time ever singing in a studio. (!) I'm not going to go into this any further, because it never ends well. Suffice it to say, there are several videos recorded "around the same time" (within, say, a year or so) in the same location (Bjerke Lydstudio, in Oslo), and IMO this appears (based on _several_ different lines of evidence) to be one of her _last_ recording sessions in the studio, not her very first (nor even one of her first). One Of These Days, we will get definitive information about this, and we will know for sure…

You can see improvement in each recording and by the time she finished Rolling in the Deep she was fully comfortable in her element. You have to love seeing her first Jump and silent cheer which showed her excitement after delivering that first chorus. She kept that enthusiasm through the rest of her performances. The beautifully clear performance of Rolling in the Deep reflect that. This was when her journey in her recording career started! IMO Hope I got the sequence right. I think I did. Enjoy! ♥👣

Actually it is not really a second language for Angelina. Norwegian school teach both English and the native tongue at the same time and emphasis. By this age she also spoke a couple of other languages too, so.....WOW.

Regarding your opening statement: Did the viewer/commenter you are referencing say that Angelina is the best (their opinion), or did they implore you to profess the same? If they were simply stating their understanding, then consider this: In order to not show favoritism toward any particular singer or to appear politically correct regarding your own opinion and not wanting to identity any particular artist as ‘the best’ or your favorite, you appear to have inadvertently reprimanded a viewer for having their own favorite vocalist.

But there may have been a problem because if she was doing it in the tradition of Tom Jones, The gender was from the sad-sack "HE" point of view, but Angelina switched it to the "she" point of view, which may be Shirley Bassey did..
