The feck it is real . The camera "died" just at the vital moment where they could film the stone throwers
Several bits and pieces of Top Gear was scripted and planned. Not everything, but I never assume that any of it is completety geniune.

I remember as a kid, I always thought the US was like the movies - alot of middle class people following the American Dream. Then when I watched this Episode in 2007, i realized I would not of seen this on any other BBC documentary and the US can be a fucked up place.

Finally someone reacted to this clip! The same thing happened to them in Argentina when some Falklands war veterans attacked their convoy thanks to an offensive number plate.
Totally different circumstances though.
Yeah the Argentines got triggered over some number plates and they weren’t even TRYING to be provocative whereas here they actually are .

@@Valencetheshireman927 I know I'm late as hell but just felt it necessary to say. I think people are kinda reaching over the reg plate but I wouldn't class the Argentinians as getting triggered, I mean it's a war within living memory in which many of those who lost loved ones were still alive.
@@newvigor9968 Thst still doesn’t justify throwing rocks at people so I would still say they got triggered but I get your point that the war still causes a lot of pain for them but I just don’t think that excuses their actions

That top gear episode is famous, as it usually just did fun of sterotypes, it didn't realise how well it could insight US southern sterotypes, a lot of that scary footage is real.

Yankee=Americans from the historical states that formed the Union during WWII.
That you got it wrong and wanted to mean americans in general doesn't mean you applied the proper word to it. You named a collective by the shortened, or slang, version of a word that defines only a part of it (and that numerous members of that collective find deeply offensive).
So whatever your interpretation of the word is, is irrelevant. Yank means yankee, and that's the end of it.
If you don't believe me and insist on stating otherwise, then just do the test I proposed: go to any deep south state and begin calling people "yanks". Then try to explain your definition to them before they break your teeth and shove your nose into your occipital lobe. See how that works for you.
(and for the record, I'm neither yank, dixie, or even american, but I do know americans quite well).
