- We went Little Free Library Hunting in our neighborhood for the VERY FIRST TIME, to check out what other people in this area are doing because... I'm going to build one for my yard! So excited! So here's a little vlog of this adventure, which just happened to have the perfect timing because it's also Little Free Library Week! #LFLweek

Yes get a straight side cupboard and then put a slanted to one side roof so the rain will run off. Sit it on a platform And put the pole (4 x4) at least 3 feet in the ground so it doesn't get pushed or blown over in storms. I think this will ensure that it will stand for years.
I'm gathering all kinds of pictures of ones I like... I'm hoping my husband can build it if he sees a picture!
Girl Who Drank The Moon is very good. I did the audiobook. Very Studio Ghibli vibes, in my opinion.

Love little free libraries! I often bring one book and leave it at the first and take something, then drop it at the next, and so on. To mix up the inventory!! I stop if I find one to keep!!

This area looks so much like an American movie, all the flat wide streets lined with American looking houses. Pretty and very American 😊 Those mountains though, where in the US is this?
I like that this is half scouting for books and half construction inspection for your future library 😅

Interesting that you notice the American-ness of here! But so true. I'm in Utah, and I never get tired of our mountains. I love them so much! (Also I'm starting to get a bit obsessed about checking out everyone's LFLs, but now we just need to start building our own!)
@@sueysbookbanter Haha yes, it's very obvious from my side of the world :) I thought it might be Utah, but then I thought, Ellen, there must be more mountains in the US that aren't in Utah... but there you go! They are beautiful, I would never get tired of them either! Like a postcard but with magic
