Nice. I used an industrial drill press that would reverse automatically when it reached the depth you set. Great for tapping pipe threads
Yeah but those things can be really iffy sometimes. My shop bought a new drill press with a tapping function and we had issues with it going past depth alot and breaking taps. After 6 months we sold it 😂

I always tapped the holes in the same setup that drilled them.
These are pretty nice if you do have a bunch of holes to tap, especially if they are blind holes (has a clutch to prevent snapping taps)

We have them at work i use them everyday..
So you don't need a extra machine for tapping.. and having to transfer the work from the table to another one
Just the tap on that machine is probably worth more than all the tap I have at home.

Probably 2k or so. But if you break a tap and spend an hour removing and fixing it or scraping a part is more expensive long term in my opinion, as someone who has broken countless taps

I have a million holes to tap, but how many of those will generate revenue? About ten. Not really worth it outside of specialized applications.
