- This is one of the more rare versions of the famous Nike "Bo Knows" series of commercials. This is the full 60 second spot with the women cyclists. I've never seen this version with the biker chicks anywhere since the time I recorded it back in 1989 while taping the MLB All-star game. (without the express written consent of MLB...so does that means I'm going to hell?)

....NO!
The best part of that is that Gretzky actually flubbed his line...but he delivered it so well, they just kept it. Sometimes it just works out.
I read in Gretzky's book that the reason he said "....No" is because He showed up to the shoot to see Bo doing that hockey scene in his socks and refused to say the line "Bo knows Hockey"
@@TAG037 just, no
greatest Nike commercial of all time
Fitting for the greatest athlete of all time
Bo, you don’t know Diddley! By far the most hilarious part in this whole Nike commercial!
I wanna know who thought, "let's get Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, Kirk Gibson, Mary Decker, John McEnroe . . .
and for football . . .
how about Jim Everett?"
Talk about "which one of these, is not like the others?" LOL!
jawtek82
Of course at the time Jim Everett was one of the best quarterbacks in the game. And Montana, Elway, Marino, Kelly, and Moon didn't have contracts with Nike if I recall properly.
+LZ V - I don't know that he was ever one of the best quarterbacks. He had some good years. And there are other positions besides QB . . . running back, receiver, . . . Anyway, I cannot watch this without thinking of the old "Sesame Street" song: "Which one of these is not like the others . . . ."
jawtek82 For about a three year period Jim Everett was a beast, not to mention he played for L.A. But looking back, you're right it is funny
Gentlemen: the logic is obvious. Everett played in LA, as did Gibson and Gretzky. No travel costs.
jawtek82 That is not Mary Decker. Its Joan Benoit who won the Boston Marathon several times and the 1984 Olympic Marathon
Wayne Gretzky might be my favorite part of this commercial. "...No." lol
Yes, but a close second is John McEnroe when he makes his statement in the form of a question. "Bo knows tennis?"
^Agreed. That was pretty awesome
I would bet that he continues to say "No" to this day. lmao
Still wish that the Kings would win the championship in '93. :/ Thx, Habs.
Irony, Bo played a Habs player in a different Bo Knows commercial.
Thank's Patrick Roy. (fuck the Kings)
& fuck your statement at the very end! .-.
thats rock and blues legend Bo Diddley playing the guitar . a really fun commercial from a fun era.
This is MY FAVORITE COMMERCIAL THAT WAS MADE BY NIKE
7-eleven cycling chicks are: muriel sharp, leslee schenk, bunky bankaitis-davis
and this was a BLAST to be a part of. unbelievable experience
Bo’s a legend. He got Michael Jordan and Wayne Gretzky to be in HIS commercial.
and John McEnroe, at the time on the shirt list of all time greats. Everett was bad choice and Joan Benoit was throw away to appeal to women. They could have gotten Carl Lewis
Very true
One of my favorite "Bo Knows" commercials...:) (Sorry, seeing Bo Jackson brought back cool memories from the 80s and 90s!)
That awkward moment when Bo didn't lift weights...
I knew a guy named Dresden when this came out! Blast from the past thank you!
I miss Bo Jackson..given time he would have known Diddley....:-)
i remembered this for like the last 26 years lmao.. shit that gets in the brain.
30 for 30 brought me here.
One of the best commercials of all time!
I read somewhere that Bo never lifted weights.... But he DEFINITELY doesn't know Diddly! LOL!
One of the ALL-TIME great ads EVER!
this was the ORIGINAL 1:00 national commercial...I used to work in a TV station and we would get these to show on-air (along with outtakes and interviews) to promote the, well, promotion. I remember that spot as if it was yesterday, ESPECIALLY Gretzky!
Wow I remember this commercial like yesterday!
Sick
You will never have commercials like this again. Athletes are too into themselves now to praise another player in a commercial.
I like Gretzky's reaction.
L.A. had some serious stars in 1989. Wayne Gretzky, Bo Jackson and Magic Johnson.
This is my favorite of all the bo knows ads.
All of the old school Nikes from the 80s-90s (like Bo's cross trainers, Barkley's Air Max, Agassi's tennis shoes and of course Jordans) all expensive to buy online. Old school Nikes had the style.....even to this day.
damn the 80s-90s commercials were hte best - i love the low contrast look of them also.. nike, acura, soloflex lol
Does anyone know the name of the music that Bo Diddley was playing I like it.
I hadn't seen this version of this commercial before. I like it.
I didn't know Bono played sports
Gretzky like... uh no
I giggled at the hockey part.
What is this song???????
Wasn’t Ian Rush part of this ad too?
I just imagined Bo checking me against the boards! Eeeesh!
I am Bo!
Whattya know?
Hai Beau
The greatest commercial of all time.
Murial Sharp and Bunki Bunkitius-Davis are 2 of the biker chicks the one in the middle... I am not sure.
Gretzky like... “Nah.”
Anyone got a link to the European version where he tries to play Cricket? Features Ian Rush and Ian Botham.
glory days
they used everett cause the other pro teams were from LA ........
Wayne Gretzky in this is amazing
i thought 0:10 was Jason Segel lol
I remember this.
What happened to Ian rush?
Watchin 30 for 30 feat. Bo Jackson rite now.
Yeah, pretty sure those were the shoes I had when I was younger! LOL
Bo knows bowling????
Of course it wouldn't be a Nike commercial without Michael Jordan.
My friend just seen a video of Bo breaking a bat over his head in amazement.
I had to show him exactly what he was missing and here we are. 😉
@Brian Thompson Michael Jordan was on the Bulls that was not an L.A. Team
Love it when Wayne just goes "no"
In this era, Gretzky saying “No” on hockey would have never made it into the commercial as it could have been misinterpreted as racist by implying people of color can’t play hockey. thankfully this was made in the pre-snowflake era & the line is the funniest in the commercial.
Oh, that kind of biker chick. Just had a Super Troopers moment.
Who was the female runner? She looks kind of familiar, but I can't remember her name.
Roger Dearnaley I figured it out. Joan Benoit
lol did you just reply to yourself
+Roger Dearnaley Mary Decker
Who are the 7 eleven cycling chicks
these very sneakers re-released in 2011
BO KNOWS MOTORBOATIN
Nfl films brought me here
the beginning of "wayne"
BO KNOWS ME
Watching this great video but everyone is talking about Wayne Gretzky, Michael Jordan, etc but there forgetting about kirk Gibson who hit a home run in the 1988 world series!!
no one cares
Kollin Dudding only player in MLB history to be named MVP and not be named to the all star game that year. Fun fact
Bo knows
Gretzky: ....NO
LMAO. too funny
Bo knows executions....... (The Chamber.1996)
Why was Jim Everett in this?
Bo. Knows didly.. bo didly singer lol good one.
He should have had longers career(s). With the 30 for 30, many will see how good he was.
In case you didn't get it, it's because of 0:42
aaaaand You're done.
Wayne Gretzky lol
Wayne Gretzky!!
Muscle memory... When you lift weights... New muscle and tight... Stretch well...
Why the hell everett an la ram would help promote an la raider?
Jason Siegel at 0:11
because he didn't have to
Bo don't know jack 'cause Bo can't rap
+Liam Carlson So what do you know?
+Lester Dockery The d dog is first up to bat
+Liam Carlson no batteries included and no strings attached
+Lester Dockery RIP Phife Dawg
But bo don't know diddley
except for jordan of course , which means they were all paid by nike
Bo knows your sister.
No, but former KC Chiefs player J.T.Smith did....
Woof!
Jim Everett??? Not the greatest quarterback of all time. How about choosing Marino or Cunningham over Everett???
They didn't have contracts with Nike.
One of the greatest athlete cheated by an injury.
Too tight... Different ball game entirely ... Different mechanics... Stretch stretch stretch and warm the muscles...
Jordan:"Bo know."What happens when black people attempt third person singular? Perhaps he's referring to U-2's lead singer?
Great 30 for 30 tonight
if ur black...even Bo dont know hockey lol
Black men invented hockey. If Bo trained in it, of course, he would've been dominant. There is no sport he couldn't have played, based on his athletic talent.
Nope buddy black people did not Ivent the sport
