The yellow flowers are daffodils. You can harvest the ones in the woods. They will have bulbs to them and they can be transplanted to the garden closer to your home.
Research guinea hens, they eat ticks and prevent Lyme disease.
Free range them around the property would help eliminate are cut back on the tick population if not get rid of them. Guinea fowl lay eggs and also produce meat! Win win 🏆👍🏽💕💕

Maybe y’all can grow some lemon balm. It repels mosquitoes. But y’all may want to grow it in pots because the mint family can become invasive and take over the whole garden.

Just cut daffodil stems a bit shorter and they'll stand up OR a deeper vase. Also guinea hens squak super loud..no peace & quiet...so talk to someone who has them b4 you decide to get some. Love your channel and the way you put our Lord 1st. God bless you and your future plans.
Yes the flowers are daffodils and the squirrels plant their seeds in Indiana! So, they’ll continue to pop up in new places every year!
If you have a utility cart you can get a shovel and dig up the bulbs and plant near house.
Get the clear tape to put across the top of the vase like criss cross to hold the flowers in place,, seen a girl do it on CZcams 🤗🤗,, that way the flowers don’t have to lean over as much they can stand straight up once you apply the clear tape fyi .

Those plants at 3:30's is Daffodils Gerald is right. You guy's have an amazing property and those garden is huge! Simone, Those low vase is beautiful! Tips: You could use a small piece of 1 inch mesh chicken galvanized wire to put on top of the opening of the vase it will keep your cut flowers upright and in place. Just make sure you put the sharp edges face down.

Dragonflies will control your mosquitoes. So, plant plenty of flowers and install perches to attract them. As for ticks, they like tall grass, so keep your grass cut low.
Geranium oil for ticks! Keep it in a spray bottle by your boots. Cover your socks and pants with the spray every time you work. It makes a huge difference!

Hey family...planting marigolds, lavender and rosemary helps us in our garden and around the property to combat mosquitos in the warmer months. Basil also helps as well.
For mosquitos, try growing citronella plants and lemongrass. Garden coming together and I’m so glad y’all onions sprouted
When you have a chance, invest in a small greenhouse. You have to keep the temperature consistent. When you move it in and out of the house you're changing the temperatur.. And not only are you changing the temperature but the lightning is different in the house versus outside..😊
Maybe pop them up out of the ground and bring them to a place closer to the house. That way you can appreciate them and see them everyday. It’s what I would do. 😃

For the ticks yall can also do a strip or two of duct tape sticky side out around your shins so they get stuck trying to crawl up your pantleg. Blessings!
Using transparent tape, tape a criss cross grid or a checkerboard grid on the top of your vase and feed your cut flowers through the grid and they will stand up in the vase
I grow lemon balm and rub it on nyself and rhe dog while I'm in my backyard garden for mosquitoes.

Love watching your progress! Symone (sp?), I think when you pick the daffs, pluck out only the flower from the bottom of the plant and leave as many leaves as possible. The bulbs need the leaves to keep pulling energy from the sun and send it down to the bulb for next year. Nicole at Flower Hill Farm says she pulls her daff blooms at the goose stage - not open. Hi guys, loving the video. You can actually dig up the daffodil bulbs and plant them closer to your house to enjoy even more. Same with the irises. Also, I learned a long time ago to put ice in the water in your vase-the plants perk up quickly.
Congratulations on your onions. There are other gardeners that burn holes in their landscape fabric. It’s effective in limiting weed growth.
Those are daffodils! You all should pull up the wild bulbs and plant them near the house in the fall.

Quinea fowl are great for ticks, they eat a ton of them.
Chickens, Guinea fowl, and turkeys all eat ticks and fleas you can free range them during the day and then have a safe space for them at night…..also citronella plants are good for repelling mosquitos
Love this! I know nothing about gardening but it's fun to support and watch you both plus the cats). From someone who attracts mosquitoes, I had a friend make homemade soap with lots of Lemongrass essential oils in it. I was a bit skeptical about it but it worked! We were outside all day and I didn't get one mosquito bite! If you find something natural for tick repellent, let a sister know because I seem to get them too. Many blessings to you.
Ticks hate eucalyptus oil and lemon. If you use that on yourself it will repel them and it could kill them. There's alot of natural ways to keep them off of you and your property. I looked this up last summer when I found one crawling on my pants. Also, lavender was recommended, as well. I love your channel! Lots of times daffodils in the middle of the woods let you know that there was a home in that location. We found daffodils on our land. Then we found a horse drawn tiller an old well, we even found 2 tombstones dated 130 years ago.

Investigate burning what is left. Heat kills bugs and seeds in the top 3-4 inches of soil. I had a friend who baked her soil before planting in an oven outside! I thought she was crazy buy she was a very successful gardener.

Permethrin sprayed on your clothes will keep the ticks off of you personally. I use it when deer hunting
About the ticks. Have you considered Ducks or Guinea Chick's to help you clear your ticks & maintain your other slugs & undesirable roaches, beetles, etc. Unlike traditional chickens who scratch & dig up the roots and eat the foliage, Guinea Chicks & Ducks just forage for bugs on the surface as a rule. Check out Kyle & Shanon at K&S Get Out. Keep up your vigilance in avoiding tick bites. They carry some really nasty deseases.
Get a floral frog for the small vase so the flowers can stand straight up. It was a life saver for me when I started bringing in flowers from the garden. Love watching you guys keep up the great work
