recognizing limitations is what keeps anyone safe out there. Good on ya. Not recognizing limitations is what keeps Search + Rescue hopping
For sure
Just found this channel! loev this video, might do this hike this weekend!
Love Needle Peak, been up a few times. Im pretty comfortable with exposure so I went up to the top, wicked hike. If you have not yet done Yak on the other side of the highway thats a great hike too!
Another great adventure
I've been to Needle twice, the "Nose" as you described it is definitely the best way to go. Its a tricky downclimb but significantly less risk than that ledge you looked at. There used to be a rope but someone cut it down without replacing it.
We weren't able to figure it out while being swarmed by the mosquitoes. I heard the old guy who built the trail is the one who cut down the rope as it wasnt the pure experience.
@@IdRatherBeHiking It was really refreshing to watch an Alpine/Hiking channel showing the importance of turning around when something is unsafe and the decision making of picking a route that is also acceptable to downclimb

Beautiful. Would love to visit one day.
I've done it couple of years ago. Definitely one of my favorite hikes near Vancouver. Stunning views!
What a beautiful area. I'm still sore from my hike on the weekend and this video makes me want to get right back out there.
haha me and you both
That is absolutely beautiful 😊 Incredible!
Scary 😧..fun to watch knowing you got down ok😅
🎉House hold hack:
If you take a spoon put it under a stream of hot water from the sink for 30 seconds it will kill the protein that causes the mosquitoes bite to itch. ❤
Then put the hot spoon on the insect bite- there now it makes sense.
Excellent info and visuals!
Subbed
thanks!
I use the Thermacell mobile mosquito repellant and it does the trick for me
needed one up there for sure!
Good call not going up there please Don’t.
Been to the top of Needle twice don't remember it being like this. I see that you are wearing fairly inappropriate footwear for the trip.
There used to be an assist rope.
How many hours when you get the needle peak ?
about 8 hours
How about for the slow hikers? 10 hours?
