Truly one of the most beautiful places in Canada/the world
If memory serves me correct, 50 years ago the toe of the glacier was down at the parking lot just off the highway. I was a kid and my parents took us there and we played on the glacier, this would be before the bus trips . Thanks for sharing this.
you're right there are signs down there it has melted a lot
Wow David. You are one incredible person. Thank you so much for this. Video. It’s a reminder that Canada is still beautiful.
I so look forward to your content. Exactly what Canadians want to know. Every morning I look to see moose on the loose notification and I know it’s going to be a good day. Thank you so much for your hard work.
My license plate says “I’d rather be hiking”. I love the scenery in this video.
haha thats hilarious awesome
On this episode of “ name that poop”
You’ve got the best sayings!😂
My first job was at Jasper Park Lodge. Wont catch me on vertical scree Bravo. Great accomplishment
Incredible footage. Don't sell yourself short - you got balls. Love this video.
not like the albertans climbing up to boundary peak hah. Funny thing is i was born in alberta but now in bc so maybe thats why I only have half balls lol
@@IdRatherBeHikingwhy did you move to BC?
Wow 🤩 Great footage. Jasper is the most beautiful place I have ever seen in person. Went there way back in 1999 on our way to Edmonton.
its unreal
Stunning views! It looks like a fake backdrop in half the shots! Absolutely amazing.
the footage doesn't even do it justice, its so impressive it takes your breathe away
David.. you Rockstar!
Total admiration/respect from a flatlander prairie person from Winnipeg who has enjoyed Jasper & Banff excursions. ❤
Winnipeg ya you're adventure is going north for polar bears! Not a lot of mountains around there.
You are as unique as that glacier... thanks for sharing !
sometimes haha
So inspiring. Sooo inspiring!!!
I'm from Ontario 61 yrs old and my first visit to Alberta and BC happened just 2 yrs ago spent a month driving around I wondered how many of the peaks where climbed I did do a few hiking trials spent a lot time along Icefield park
good stuff
No bears out there? Maybe not enough prey for bears at that elevation. Beautiful views, thanks for your video. What a wonderful escape from the city world.
bears have been known to cross glaciers so technically they can pop over but you'd see them from kms away
it looks beautiful stay safe
Ohhh WOW! That's so beautiful! I gotta admit, Im woozy just watching from here...Yikes! Be careful.
Really like your vids, personable, fun and good footage without loads of annoying music. Good to see you out there👍
just keep going back in my hiking videos you'll find annoying music haha. I've gone through stages learning to be a filmmaker so the older the hiking video the more music there will be. its a learning process
@@IdRatherBeHiking Keep at it. We look forward to your vids
The original horse trail went up, over Wilcox Pass as the glacier extended down, across the valley and was not passable.
crazy things have changed
Thanks for the fantastic video David! That one is going on my list for this year❤Alberta
its actually not that hard of a hike but when its completely unknown makes it seem a lot bigger, check it out
Good video, thanks for the tour !
Thank you for this its great
Heck yesss vertical scree lines ;) Funnily enough, Boundary Peak is on my list!
thats nuts, what i did see after you can hike off that unamed "Horn of Athabasca" as i called it down to the glacier then get up on the ridge up to boundary peak which looks a heck of a lot safer
@@IdRatherBeHiking Appreciate the tip! Wonderful video :)
Stunning video, thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Another EPIC video! Also came here to ask about the camera, only to find them in the desc already lol! Thanks!
Ive switched over to dji pocket 3 its the wilderness king for filming but i do love my A7siii
14:28 LMFAO
awesome
That was very beautiful but boy I did get nervous inwas shouting at my phone ..BE CAREFUL ahhhh..
lol
Cannot wait for your review on SMD Swift pack and comaring to UD40 which is over twice cheaper but I also want to buy a new pack in fastpacking style.
if you can fit 30L and are ok with Aonijie their 30L pack is pretty amazing. UD 40 is awesome teh 50 Swift is got that extra space they all have their place.
@@IdRatherBeHiking Yeah hard to pick and now Wapta 30L is coming out also and people seem to like it alot. But I would rather have it in 40L at least.
moose on the loose you did it proud of you awesome
cool to thy older machines
yup i like the older pictures because the people now adays have NO RESPECT
