- Join me for my second chemical peel! Follow me for a week of peeling and a reaction This video documents the full week of peeling, how I found the experience and before and afters. I've been working on my hyper pigmentation for years and I hoped this peel would help with that.
I had my chemical peel at The Things We Do at The Row. I knew what I wanted before going in but if you're interested in getting one (or any procedure) book a consultation first. Just because I chose this for my skin concerns, doesn't mean it will work for you - please do your research before jumping in.

Aja: "obviously the before pictures are not the most flattering"
Also Aja: proceeds to show the most stunning pictures ever. 😂💘
well THANK YOU 🥲🥲
Honestly, when you shared the first BEFORE photo of your face to compare (post warning), my first thought was: Aja is SO beautiful! 😊
Thanks for sharing the process, being very close to your age, I tried the peel years ago and just didn’t think the results were that worth it, but then each skin and person is different.
I have been considering getting a chemical peel and appreciate you documenting your progress. Would love to see your skincare routine.
Coming soon!
I did not know that this is such a long process! Thank you Aja for showing how it went for you
Thank yo so much for sharing your journey! We're so glad you had an amazing time at The Things We Do and we're excited for you on your skin journey. Keep glowing ✨✨✨
Thanks for sharing this, Aja! Great content and seeing your experience really helps me as I consider this procedure for myself! ❤
Video on new skin routine asap Aja please! Because the difference between the 1st and 2nd pics is amazing 👏🏻
Super interested in what your first peel was! I just turned 34 this year and my face looks very much like your pre-first peel - with all the freckles! It would be life changing to lighten some of them.
Has it already been that long since your last peel?! Wow time flies. Girl your eyelashes looked so good! I lowkey miss seeing you in the fiat haha. Hope you and doggos are having a good day ❤❤
Every time I try to find parking in LA, I miss my fiat lol
yes please do a new skincare routine!
I feel like you look younger in your latest photo! I think your skin looks firmer and more youthful.
your hair looks amazing
i'm so glad you did this video, I've been wanting to do something like this but have been too scared. I'm about to be 35 so definitely want to start some treatments soon!
It *looks* scary but it’s not that bad, just a bit inconvenient if you have things to do.
This was a great video, I like how you reviewed the results after & showed the process. I never had a chemical peel, but this makes me want to take better care of my skin & start a regular routine skincare routine. I have products but no motivation to use them
Your motivation should be spending money on products so you have to use them now! lol
Yes do the morning and night skin care routine
I have post-birth control hormonal acne, and I finally decided to get a chemical peel because I can’t seem to find the right products while TTC. I have 2 more sessions and hopefully it’ll be worth it in the end. 🤞🏻
It made me itch in the middle of the night which was a struggle and the corners of my mouth were so dry it started cracking. 😬 I guess 2 more months of these for me!
I had a chemical peel done Jan 2022; meant to continue once a year but oops. My redness and acne spots significantly improved. I’ve also been pretty consistent with a minimal daily skin care routine and my scars and redness are still improving. I think a chemical peel this year would be bomb for my skin and confidence.
Can you do update skincare routine?
I had the worst experience with this VI peel. I was left with much worse hyperpigmentation. It was formulated for a specific type of skin tone. not olive or darker skin tones.
i get the Jessner peel every 6 months. highly recommend!
Before and after, you look beautiful 😊
Why did you choose a peel over lasers? Just curious
your skin is looking great! im trying to undo years of sun damage and im 34.
Same girl. The struggle is so real after years of baking in the sun.
Omggg what toothpaste do you use !!
I did once before 5 years back in 2019 and there is no little skin coming off, is a 3 layers chemical peel. I did not see any diff at all before and after and it took place in an aesthetic clinic. I think is a waste of money. I think one should see a aesthetic doctor to determine what issues one has before doing a peel, it might be genetic and any peel will not help, a 15 to 20 sessions of laser treatment will potentially do better.
may i know what camera you use??
Could you share where you got your glassware from??? I’ve been looking for glasses like that for years!!!
it's from CB2 - very pretty but very delicate though and I've already broken 2. www.cb2.com/marta-cooler-glass/s522228
Your skin doesn’t look much different across the 3 pics. Your skin looks good. Maybe just a good quality hydrofacial is good enough , monthly instead of chemical peel with its side effects
Hey Aja, what car did you replace your Fiat with? 🥰
Brian and I share his Tesla now
I remember how crazy your face was peeling the last time! This time around it seems to be rather tame compared to your first chemical peeling.
I agree. I think I could’ve handled one more pass of the chemical peel but I’ll try again at the end of the year
Is this the same peel and same place that was done four years ago?
No, sadly the other place closed down and the peel was different as well. May have to track down the other peel bc I think I liked it more
Never seen having to cleanse the face yourself, the spas i go to always includes it in the treatment
I know this is not the point but, you have to wash your own face??
didn't know this was a process that took days
there is a lighter peel that has zero down time and then there's a more intense option that's a 3 month process.
Could you please share your esthetician’s contact from Houston?
Rebecca from Paloma Spa
Your skin gets thinner as you age, so I don't know about going deeper, as more frequently.
Actually, you don’t have to do chemical peels, if you buy a face scrub sponge at Walgreen’s for about $1-2 dollars, and buy a very good facial soap and mix it with a little of baking soda just to create a paste and you wash & scrub your face every night before bed for about a week or longer depending on how bad your skin is, then once or twice a week followed by your favorite moisturizer and your regular facial routine. Try it and let me know. I do this for my face and hands, but I use lemon on my hands for the age spot. You’re welcome 🥰
Exfoliation should only be done once or twice a week max. And if you're doing physical exfoliation, it needs to be very gentle because otherwise you'll be creating a plethora of microtears in your skin.
Why did you want to get rid of your beautiful freckles? I will never understand women
this cant be the first comment
@@dnwalkingoneggshells why ? because it is the truth that you dont want to hear ? haha
lol it’s ok you don’t get it move along
@@mbank3832lol you’re stupid
Because it’s sun damage
