Our artists often use our folk tradition to write songs, it's very popular with us. It may not be the best track for the first time to meet the artist, but I highly recommend to see her clip Alina Pash - Bitanga (a mix of fashion, african beats and local ethnics of one of the regions of Ukraine - the Carpathian Mountains) Also recomended such popular ukranian artists: **DakhaBrakha - Baby (Live on KEXP) - unic band, well cool performance, Good well-known artists in the U.S., they sing our traditional songs in modern way **Jinjer - pisces - Ukrainian world-famous metal band, probably one of the most popular bands for video reactions in the internet after BTS) Why? It's enough to watch “pisces" to understand) **MONATIK - Кружит - pop-soul singer, the music video was shot by the famous Ukrainian music video maker Tanya Munyo (she shot Lil Nas X - Montero, Cardi B - Wild Side, Post Malone & The Weeknd - One Right Now etc.) **Ivan Dorn - OTD visual and musical minimalist delight + good dance moves I**van Dorn - Collaba - Los Angeles vibe (freaks, drugs and techno) **Ivan Dorn - Beverly - For some reason I think you'll like vibe of this track, the way this track sounds is. **KARNA - Party на Прикарпатті - Ethnic rock, just respect to the lead singer who now fights for our country as a soldier **KALUSH х SKOFKA х САЛЬТО НАЗАД - Сонячна - is just a delight to my ears (rap) **THE HARDKISS feat. MONATIK - Кобра - great song and clip **THE HARDKISS - Сестра - this clip is like a movie **Бумбокс - Жаль -The clip shows a drone shot of Kyiv. It's a pity the clip doesn't have English subtitles, the vocalist writes an incredible lyric. The Pink Floyd recently even recorded a track with him) Now the vocalist is piloting a combat drone in the war. **Onuka feat. NAONI Orchestra - Megamix - Interval act - 2017 - A potpourri of 3 their songs, a unique live performance using etnic instruments, an incredible combination of electronic music and traditional instruments **ONUKA - ZENIT - When I got married, I walked into the hall to the chorus of this song) **TVORCHI - Bonfire - Banger! Great beats! In English. **alyona alyona - Пушка (have english subs) - Our rap goddess) It One of the first tracks that made her popular. The Kalush became famous in many ways because of her (she PR'd them). **ТУЧА - russia is a terrorist state (@BADWOR7H Remix) ft. RUSIIICK - one more beastyboys vibe song, pure underground rap song
Alyona can be pronounced like "(just A sound like in "up") - learn(without articulating R at all) - (just A sound like in "up")", without interruptions between, and 2 times ) The other way - "Huh - l'on - huh", without articulating "H"
Exploring your channel after stumbling upon it yesterday. Eclectic taste in music for sure that leads to yet another suggestion: Hu Wolf Totem music video. Going to need subtitles on for that one too. They are a Mongolion folk metal band complete with throat singing.
I would recommend a masterpiece performance by Alina Pash in the final of the National Selection for Eurovision: "Shadows of forgotten ancestors". It's a masterpiece at many levels with a lot of depth in layers: musically, visually, and performance-wise. In a way, it turned out a premonition of the war although it was written earlier, and the message could be the slogan of Eurovision: "Remember your ancestors but write your own history".
