    I modified a couple of my adjustable wrenches that wouldn't open quite enough. Take out the setscrew and turn the thumbwheel until the movable jaw comes out, put it in a Vise then get a hacksaw and cut another slot in the jaw to get another turn on the thumbwheel. I could get them to open another 1/8 to 3/16 wider and it doesn't hurt the wrenches. Crescent, Xcelite and Diamond.
    Looking forward to your next Video! 👍🇺🇸

    Quick question if anyone cares to answer. Two rooms on the sunset side of the house. Multiple HVAC companies have some out and said no issues. These rooms are consistently hotter in summer and cooler in winter. They are closest to the attic mounted air handler. Usually a three degree difference between these rooms and the rest of the house.

    • @jthonn
      @jthonn Před rokem +1

      If I understand you right, it could be they are not as insulated? It only stands to reason also if they are smaller rooms, they usually will heat or cool off quicker than the rest. Try leaving the doors open to get a good circulation going and see if that helps. Also make sure you have an inch or so of space between the floor and the bottom of the doors. That way you have some circulation when the door is closed. Hope that helps

    • @86AW11
      @86AW11 Před rokem

      @jthonn insulated the same as the rest of the house. Doors are usually open. One of two returns is in hallway between the rooms.

    • @wendelfears1027
      @wendelfears1027 Před rokem +1

      It's z du t issue.
      Being closer to unit. Means placement on supply plenum. If eacr room has it's own tap. Try and relocate the two taps.
      Check for dampers. Some installers close off the first few taps to allow more air for for longer lines.

    • @86AW11
      @86AW11 Před rokem +1

      @wendelfears1027 No dampers, the airflow from the registers has been checked to be in spec. I asked about blower fan speed being too high, never got a good answer.
      I have two closed registers in a closet and storage room that I am thinking of relocating to these rooms.

    • @davidaustin9009
      @davidaustin9009 Před rokem

      Being the load side of the house..should have a higher r factor of insulation by at least 2or 3. Check the inner wall for insulation.occasionally spots get missed and that causes a big loss when cooling and heating. Considering heat load transfer thru walls.

    I live in the central Indiana area, north of Indianapolis. I have a seven-year-old trane heat pump and the water has started dripping off the evaporator coil and down into the base of the heat pump. Not all of the water is dripping down the coil and into the drip pan along the edges… it is gripping straight from the A coil, straight downward. This is very frustrating! I have had multiple HVAC companies out here to look at it. One said that I need to replace my drip pan so I basically told them to get lost because that’s certainly not the problem here. Another company came out and replaced the drip pan drainage pipe and then said they are at a loss they don’t know what to do. So I am stuck! I have called trane corporate and given them my information and no one has gotten back to me yet. It’s very frustrating, I have a 10 year warranty on parts but nobody can tell me what’s really wrong here. Do I need a new A coil? At this point, I don’t really know. They repair man have checked the pressure and said that it’s correct so I don’t believe that low refrigerant is the issue. I’m at a loss and I’m frustrated.

    Hi Curtis, you got tricked by the old piston deal you always check the piston size to make sure that it’s not the same size if it’s not then you always use your old piston that you removed out of your old call into your new call just goes to standard reason, but it’s been designed that system has been designed with that particular with that particular system in it I guess you know that by now I’m just kind of pulling your leg. It happened to me before too so you say it’s all part of the text stuff signing out for 20 years retired now Tallahassee. Fred.

    When checking at the condenser charge only with subcool. The superheat only has to be between 4-24°. If you check you auperheat inside then your superheat will be 10-30° different inside than outside. This a common mistake in residential refrigeration. So charge the condenser to its nameplate subcool and the check your superheat inside. 6 inches feom your valve. Then adjust your valve accordingly. In commercial most times you will not have a subcool to read so you charge theough superheat. Hope you learn
