I am from Portugal... The thing is, if you watch other Alfa Romeo Giulia accelerations, they can't shift properly. It's odd, but true.
maybe it's a little different handling than in other cars, because for me it is difficult to shift and use clutch properly when I sit into italian after other cars, I need some time to adapt. Its like wild thing :D

Der Motor scheint top zu sein, niedriges Drehzahlniveau, sparsam, kräftig. Schön das es nen 2,2 Liter ist und nicht wie einige mittlerweile 1,6l Krücken verbauen und das sogar in fetten Transportern (Renault usw).

In eco mode while driving 100 I reached 3.5/100 but this was reached on a excellent road without mountains ( the Netherlands)

I believe the only trim worth looking at is the QV. The other versions seem to be rather disappointing. Moreover, people have been complaining about the quality of the interior as the materials the manufacturers used are way too cheap and mess up the image of this beautifully designed vehicle.
Buying a diesel Alfa, is like buying a Cool Mint flavoured chilli pepper.
Why there were more diesel made than petrol? Is really annoying when you see there are more diesels.
is it possible to turn off traction control in Giulia? Ive tested one today and it doesnt drift at all in dynamic mode :(
not possible in Dynamic, only in race mode, but not available is most version

ehm weiss nicht mehr :D, am bestens buchst du einfach einen kompakte grösse oder passat bereich bei Flughafen irgendwelche grosstädte zb Frankfurt/München/düsseldorf (mehr chance für auswahl), dort kannst du am schalter fragen das du einen Giulia haben willst, die kriegst du garantiert einen, bei meiner stammtstation in kleine stadt hat es sogar 2x stück dort

I'm a very satisfied and proud owner of one these beatiful machines. 2017 model, same colour and specs with tan leather interior and prettier alloys. Strongly recommend it! Fantastiskt steering and handling. Get rid of your bland and boring krautmachines and get one!!!

Diesel in such car is not an option. For me the engine sound is about 50% of fun of driving.

i see a mix between a bmw 2series coupe and a bmw 3 series sedan. I dont know why italians are so proud about the way they design cars. Another example could be the fiat 500l which is a copy of a mini countryman. (german & japanese cars) > italian, french, british, american cars...

I see a lot of Alfa Romeos on the road. CZcams you see so many videos on the old Alfa Romeos. There are also cars that cost a lot. You do not read german magazine Auto Bild
Probably you remember about Siemens Injectors defect? Did you own VW passat, for example from the 2006/2007.. ? I had and it has been awful.
Injectors were defected and after some use they broke: everytime € 1000 and the risk to have incident because car stopped to run. Then, the best has been to see how VW hided till the last minute that there wasn't this defect. € 35.000 of car, "german superior quality ad honestly" and they hide for years this giant problem, and customers had to pay every time with their money.
Or maybe do you remember about the defect of "oil pump", again with VW passat ? Maybe you don't remember, but many people/customers remember very well this. When it happes, you could say goodbye to your engine (no engine oil = bye bye engine). Can you image the risk and the cost of that? And all that not in a car of €10000.. but on € 35.000 car.
Then, we want talk about the diesel gate VW ?

this is true and i agree... but let me say this i remember going into an Alfa Romeo dealership where their was a problem with a car water kept ingressing inside the cabin... the gurus of alfa could simple not understand why the car let water in until an assessor from the insurance company pulled it apart and found the welding of the firewall was missing. now this car went through ''Quality control'' haha and left the factory a dangerous badly built car.

No. That's what happen with Audi, which is a VW under the skin.
Giulia is a totally separated project and product. The platform, as correctly reported by other people already, is totally new and different. This is a RWD car, Fiat are FWD. So the engines are different, then suspensions, steering wheel, and so on. Driving this car for just 1 minute it's enough to feel this. How could a "Fiat" be dynamically more performing than the Bmw 3 serie?
