The block paving was covered in weeds and too much to use a wire brush to scrub them out so I used our new pressure washer for the first time on full power hoping that it would work, else the power washer would be heading back to amazon. And it did the job and all the weeds were fully removed!
It's been a really wet week or so here in the UK but once the paving has dried we will be returning to re-sand the paving.

I have seen some pressure washing techniques with cleaning the bricks and they mention to use sand and after the water has dried you need to sweep sand in-between the bricks because using water around bricks interlocking or not it will wash the dirt or sand from underneath the bricks and cause it to be un even later on. 🤔
Nice concept, I'll have to give this a try. I have an entry way, a full length side walk and a two czar length drive way. Looks easier than chemicals(which aren't an option due to fur baby), I've typically waited for it to be dust dry, then pull out, which takes much effort. I like this method, because you get entire root, dust dry method is a hit or miss lol. Thanks for the tip. Have a great summer, from Pittsburgh PA❤😁
Thanks for the great video. Which pressure nozzle did you use? 15? Also, with the strong water pressure to remove the weeds, did you need to re-sand with polymeric sand to refill the spacing between the interlocking stones? Thanks.

If you need to use the most powerful setting to remove the weeds, what is the point of the detergent? To me, it looks like the power washing alone did a great job with the dirt.
Yeh, the deturgent is pointless, it was the first time use, so now both I and you know too not waste money on getting the expensive K7 deturgent.
Should’ve got a decent jetwash. For home semi commercial you should’ve got a kranzle. That karcher will last 50 hours or so till it starts leaking. Get a ufo attachment or a hood for the launch to stop splashback and crest less mess.
Wear eye protection and proper shoes lol
Jet washing doesn’t kill the weeds it just clears them, but they’ll grow back if you don’t kill or remove the roots
yeh grow back but after a year, so not such a big deal then getting down on hands and knees with a tool

£693 for a karcher hahahahahahahahahaha. Get a kranzle for less or pay a little extra for the kranzle tt1152 which can be bought for £800 but are 10,000 times better than karcher. Pump in karchers lost at 50 hours are alloy and plastic and are child’s toy grade. Kranzle are brass and ceramic and last 1000s hours and are commercial grade.
God block paving is an annual nightmare
When you do this make sure there is no car near by as loose concrete will fly of and break glass or dent body.
Yeh, washed car, did a bit of driveway blasting turned around and car is worse than before the wash!

yeh, none of that health and safety nonsense here, sandals, t-shirt and no protective glasses. Next time I'll wear glasses cos the muck sprays everywhere !
A few toes come off and you pop them on the BBQ. Reward after a hard day's work.

Dude, this doesn't kill weeds at all, it just removes them for a few weeks. They will grow up again. To get rid of it for a long time you need to kill the roots
Dude but its 9 months later and they have NOT grown back, the pressure washer blasted the weeds away including roots. They are gone, of course eventually new seeds will settle and grow, I'll do an update video of how things stand today.

How odd, have been using my Karcher washer for many years. Performs well and gives excellent results for every task (many and varied) I’ve needed from it. To find out it’s crap is quite sad, it makes me realise I would have got better results (somehow?) by purchasing a different make 🤔😂😂🤔

ur water bill gone up 10x ... best to buy a bag of rock/pool salt mix with water and brush it in it'll kill roots and all
I hardly used it, maybe X4 since I bought it and only once on that patch of drive, though I need to use it now cos the weeds are back after over 1 YEAR
That's fine if you like swirls on you're drive my opinion get a professional pressure cleaning company to finish the drive.

your just spreading more spores from the weed around the driveway. this form of removal of weed is only temporary, if you want to preperly remove weed u have to remove with a knife or with a fertilizer
Yes, all weed removal is temporary, temporary as in the weeds won't reappear untuil March ! Thats 4-5 months, good enough for me! Means will have a better reason to give the driveway a blast several times per year.

Tried it with wire brush and knifes etc, does not last and very hard work! This way its easy!
