I worked for Nationwise Auto Parts in the early to mid 80s. I don't remember the tool aisle being as comprehensive as I have seen at the auto parts stores since the late ninties and early 2000s. When we were selling parts to a customer part of our expectations were to point out what tools were available for sale if any were needed. Of course back then we just went to Sears for our tools.
@@ArcFlashTools dude ur right I can't believe what I just found. Craftsman Allen's are fkn cheaper at home depot right now in NV than stupid harbor gay lol
Some items are a steal and others don’t make sense like the doyal 10” channellocks pliers for $20 bucks you can find USA made channellock brand for the same price or USA made Wilde for the same or less. My dad is guilty of it though I asked him why he has the doyal over the channellock he said HF had it when he wanted it. I get it not everyone cares that much.
I have been on the inside track club for 2 years, I always buy specialty tools when they hit blue tag.... It really helps me get all those low use items and have them when you need them and the discount is pretty decent if you get them ITC blue tag
I have not gotten to use them yet but I have a assortment of the Titan brand tools aluminum socket rails that are magnetic torx, sae, and metric hex, and security torx sockets and the rails are marked identification for sae and metric
I went to autozone, oriellys and advance looking for a 1/2 17mm 6 point shallow socket and all 3 stores had a shallow 12 point and a long 6 point but not a shallow. The only time i use a 12 point is when its a 12 point fastener which is hardly ever. On another note oriellys was the cheapest, well atleast by me.
I worked and seriously abused great neck and duralast socket sets working on 4x4 trucks and derby cars .. so if I was going to pay a little more money for the same variety of sockets for sae and metric shallow and deep i would probably go back to great neck and duralast
Gearwrench (Had my 1st set last me a good 8 years before I sold them.) or Icon (which I've been using for almost 2 years no issues. Aside form that it's whatever you prefer. Sounds like you should flip a coin, but either set your looking at should do the job. At the end of the day their all about the same. Except MATCO.. Those ones I've had a lot of binding issues.
Justin as far as the US General Boxes, I’ve talked about my 56” top and bottom boxes on a couple of Livestreams with CP and Quickwrench. I’ve got a bone to pick with HFT about the side cabs and lockers but i feel like I’ve got some info folks should know before they buy one either series 2 or the new series 3.

Go with harbor freight as O'Reilly ripped me on a warranty which I will not forget.
Nicely done video 👍👍lots of info.
Thanks for taking time to share 😁😁
Harbor freight is pricing themselves out of the market in my opinion
Glad others are starting to see this. I may sound like a broken record, but HF prices are increasing much faster than their quality.

@@nickshowsstuff435 I agree some stuff is good and some items are over priced

I'm not sure where this was filmed, but the O'Reilly's store in the video has about 1000x the inventory of the O'Reilly's stores in my area.
I'm a big Gearwrench & Tekton fan. But I enjoy shopping at OReillys cuz they have good customer service in my area.
Same. I've branched out to Capri and Olsa Tools as well.

O'Reilly is way more geared to Automotive so they are my choice hands down

Icon does have the digital torque wrench it’s great has the torque angle too it’s jus as good as anything high end
Good video...
Some decent stuff there, no family discount and I wish they sold T shirts.

To be honest i find cheaper deals online the only problem with that is the wait. I don't mind but if i really need it i will head to auto parts store
How ya doing sir keep up the videos man
If u can get any ratcheting wrench set.. besides StrapOn.. what brand would u get? Leaning on Tekton or Milwaukee.. change my mind

Thought provoking video, thanks. Just my 2 cents - Performance Tool (PT) has the worst warranty. Once they have your money, you're on your own.

O'reilly's has good stuff you won't find at AutoZone and on par or better than hf
I’ve always gone to Oreillys but the new autozone by me have a lot larger tool selection. Even more options in tool rentals
Oreillys tool selection is very disappointing nowadays. Autozone offers much more as far tools goes
Napa Carlyle all day compared to these stores.
you never mentioned where everything is made you passed write by lisle made in the usa but only focused on the china products
I like Husky, i have a Home Depot 2 minutes away, they will exchamge anything rhat has an issue
