Thraex this ain’t the description fam
@@Altoroc Well this is what you're getting, and you're gonna like it!
Thraex wow you’re such an authoritarian ;)
THANK YOU
Burning Steeps.... Oh yeah, right next to the Beadlands and Searing Garage. ;)
I had to google translate just to make sure when I heard steeps
It's actually the correct way to say it although I still always pronounced it as the Burning Steps. It just sounds better to me. Lol
@@Presence_o_Mind Nah, it's pronounced /stɛp/ ("step"), not "steep".
@@Espedals Well, now I don't feel so bad. Thanks. :)
Mispronunciation of uncommonly used words in a WoW video? I've never heard of such!
Thank you for going through all the needed steppes for gathering and completing these quests.
Really good and helpful guide. Especially the tips where to tank or where to stand (for example general angerforge). It is easy to follow, at least for me as the old memories slowly kicking in ;). I also liked the visualization of abilities and drops and the "cuts" to the respective NPC or locations. It would be also helpful in the beginning to include a short overview of the recommended route with a red line on the instance map or so :). Thx a lot for the great work
In depth guide of one my favourite dungeons in WoW, you just earned a subscriber! Great video and super informative. Well done.
I am amazed that the vid is shorter than at least an hour! When I first went to BRD I spend at least twice as much hours trying to find my way in it. It is truely epic and unforgetable experience. Tnx for the video and the info, it truely brings some nice memories.
I'm going thru it by myself,,it is tedious
For a fairly new channel, these guides are incredibly well put together and extremely informative. I'm genuinely impressed.
You deserve far more subs, especially with how polished this is.
Thanks for the kind words! I try and improve as I go. These guides have come a very long way since the first.
@@Thraex subbed without watching. Love the idea, will watch later. I'm so hyped.
I agree!
steeps
hes the goat
I used to solo this place for hours. I've loved dwarves since seeing the animated Hobbit movie as a very small kid, and I live the environment. Not to mention that not sharing loot and selling the Boe items, recipes, and schematics that drop from here made me an insane amount of gold.
BRD
1 DUNGEON
121432435HOURS SPENT PER RUN
(Always photo on that throne so that u have proof that u survived full run brd)
Oh man I would have missed so many quests! Thanks for making this!
This was dope, great and informative
and ofcourse
THE BURNING STEEEEEPS
lovely content! just what I was looking for!
Your guide is the best, nice job helpful for my grinding
I'm digging the various dungeon guides you've got up, many WoW/WoW-classic content creators seem to have stagnated with regards to these sorts of walkthroughs.
I love u man you are the best man to make these guides keep on going ❤️
Wonderfully made, exceptionally useful, and still helpful in Season of Discovery
thank you so much for the detail guideline!!!
The rogue underworld, and the place to get your rewards from bar fighting. The entire dungeon is a gold mine for any solo, duo, or party with stealth users. Learn the routes and take payment as a scout for the players looking for a MC attunement. This is my all time favourite dungeon, and also the single dungeon with the best gear.
Really great guide! Worth the sub.
Great guide, i apreciate it a lot thanks man
Brilliant Vid. Earned my sub.
Best 5-man in all of WoW, if you ask me.
but veeeeery long :-)
@01000001 00101110 01001001 00101110 not after the x-th run, i remember that i had to enter about 50 times until my pants finally dropped :-) But in general, its a very fine one yes.
@01000001 00101110 01001001 00101110 but you dont need that much time to go for it, never the less, its a very well made one and i will always remember the wonderfull music in the bar.
Love it but Scholo, Maraudon, DM and Spire are all better to me
i loved doing this dungeon as alliance in vanilla, the quests were great
I can still see the whispers from my guildies back in the day "we need you to tank BRD for us" "escort run" "atunement run" and some nights i wake up covered in sweat because of "Emperor run" The Elyseum part with the torch guards omg... some people were bad there
Well planned and executed video. - One part of the guide that will likely not work on Classic is your helpful marks on the map. If I remember correctly, there are no maps that pop up while in a dungeon/raid instance. Those were added later in WoW.
Hopefully someone has an addon by then, I figured theys still be a solid point of reference to use
Steeps
Great video bud!
very good summary thanks, like your videos
You missed one boss, under the ring of law there is Houndmaster Grebmar. The entrance to him is along the same path as Lord Roccor.
Also it wasn't Dagran Thaurissan that summoned Ragnaros, it was his ancestor. As that Thaurissan (along with the members of the Seven) were killed when Ragnaros was summoned.
Thanks for the lore info. I mentioned the missing Grebmar in a comment, but it's lost now :p not sure how it disappeared. Could have sworn i recorded the footage and its part of my script, but i realized it was gone after uploading
This is a amazing guide
I think your Panzor the Invisible joke is highly under-appreciated.
hello, i loved your video, as a first timer who will step inside the dungeon it helped me a lot. is there a video where you talked about attunement quests? i want to get them done also
I'm working on those right now and they'll be released soon. I do talk about how to get attuned for certain dungeons in their appropriate videos as well.
Thanks for the guide!
Thanks for watching :D
You always remember your first brd
I just have had my first run on hardcore. Buddy from my group died at level 55.
Nice guide dude thanks
The greatest video on YT
great vid helps me alot thanks bud
Nicely done
You can skip fighting the dragon if you have the molt from the Kalaran the Deceiver's questline in Searing Gorge. Taste of flame is simply a back-up if you accidentally got rid of it or thought it was junk at the time.
Good to know, I could have sworn there was more to that quest line, but it's been so long that I completely forgot about that
so much content in one dungeon omg
That 1% drop chance for Ironfoe though... Makes you think how special weapons were back then, can't wait to play classic!
Isn't it 6% and not 1%?
@@badass6300 i have no idea i just read the tooltip from the screenshot, i'm by no means an expert in vanilla wow. That being said though, 6% would be a lot better even though it's still crazy low chance..
@@jasonbecker1989
well weapon drops in BFA, for example, aren't much higher in chance. Weapons and trinkets for that matter.
No official percentages, but they are a lot lower than 10% for sure. The mythic+ chest has good weapon drop rates though.
I have ilvl 370 trinkets on my ilvl395 dk and if the trinkets were ilvl 385-390 themselves I'd be ilvl 400+... I still have ilvl 370 one handers for frost, but for Blood I finally got a ilvl 405 two-hander.
@@jasonbecker1989 Also yeah I saw the tooltip and was like that can't be right.
www.wowhead.com/item=11684/ironfoe
@@badass6300 i see what you mean, but really you shouldn't compare classic/vanilla to bfa cause it's a totally different game imo. Just the fact alone that the game has shifted to more solo content/wqs it tells you how different they are. You didn't have the choice of mythic +/wqs/weekly chest back then. But i like both games, i wont not quit retail when Classic launches.
good job on the video and thanks
you can exp farm the Whats going on quest by abandoning it as soon as the gards come requires 2 mages 1 healer and 2 locks, have 1 mage flamestrike the group and the other nova as soon as FS hits then aoe, both locks hellfire till the mobs are dead pick up quest again and the gards will respawn keep doing it till 60.
You glossed over the room with the torchbearers - it was a nightmare as the respawn rate was almost instant so you had to keep moving and never went out of combat.
Very helpful vid, thank you. Was I understanding this correctly that there are multiple quests that require you to enter the dungeon, then leave it again, then come back to do the next phase? That seems very .........lame. But hey.....classic......
ty my man
Life long relationships have been build within this dungeon... I miss those times :)
I met one of my best friends in BRD, I love the place.
I remember my tank having to warn me explicitly each time a quest, something needed to be looted etc...or I would simply miss it. SOOO entranced I was in drinking/healing everything got drummed out. Wouldn't read my quest log or forget just about anything. There was just the group and healzzz. (I was a damn good healer...but man I must have been such a pain to babysit my questing behaviour.) ...We had a very patient tank. lol
@@mfatal Hahaha, I think that might be a healer thing. I play tank 95% of the time, and almost always it's the healer that forgets to grab something. You guys have a hard job though, so I can't be mad.
@@Thraex Thinking of it, they really should have made the tank the quest turn in and get point for all healers. :)
Ahhhhh... Another way distraction from the daily chores. :D
Well thanks for help :)
The houndmaster - after Lord Roccor
burning steeps lmao
I know, right? Steppes is pronounced "steps", not "steeps".
I heard him say it and immediately went to the comments to make sure my reading comprehension wasn’t shit.
There’s always that one guy that uses all the unique pronunciations.
This video blowing up 5 years later because of sod is awesome.
Good video Would love to see a Zul Farrak guide.
I already have! czcams.com/video/KSE5CSMKWhg/video.html
Instructions unclear. Steeped some tea bags and made some damn fine tea!
iirc, you could easily spend 3 or 4 hours in this dungeon, and if you were rested when you started it you were pretty much guaranteed to level. Also, you don't have to kill Plugger Spazzring for the Goblin Jumper cables recipe, if you'd done the arena and he was yellow you could buy the plans from him.
Oh neat, I didn't know you could straight up buy them, thanks for that!
Hi all, please let me know what you think of the new format, or if you liked the other better? I know there are a few inconsiistencies, but I plan to correct those going forward. Thank you :)
Sorry guys, somehow my footage for the 3rd boss, Houndmaster Grebmar, magically disappeared. He's a super easy boss, just kill his hounds as he blood lusts. Here are the items he drops: vanilla-twinhead.twinstar.cz/?npc=9319
You should pin this comment, so everyone can see it on top of their comment feed :)
The Marshal Windsor quest is missing from this it starts with the quest Dragonkin Menace in the Burning Steppes
I´m amazed how u got BRD into 26 minutes! xD
Believe me, I wish I could have had it much shorter than that. It took so long to record and edit all of this >.
thanks
Best dungeon guide ever, thanks for your work! Will you also do for scholo, strat, lbrs, ubrs?
Rendering LBRS right now and I've begun work on Scholo so expect both soon. :D And thanks for the kind words!
Walkthrough my ass. It’s a Questthrough. I NEEDED THE ROUTE OF THE DUNGEON. I’m 10:42 in and not going further. Glad ya got your view.
"You'll need to die anywhere on the mountain and find the ghost dwarf."
-me watching this while playing HC >_
Less of a dungeon guide, more of a quest guide.
19:21 EVERYONE, GET IN HERE!
PILE ON!
From what level can you tank this as a warrior? I wanna try my hand at it! Currently 54.
54 is actually a great level. You can get quite far. You might have a little bit of trouble on the final few bosses but with good healers and dps it should be no problem
Are you going to upload any video of you doing dungeons as a healer?
I'm not gonna lie, I don't know anything about being a healer. I've been playing this game for 15 years and have never maxed a caster.
If you find it helpful I could always TRY and do some kind of noob series of me healing, but I can't promise good quality or to know what I'm talking about/doing.
Hey Thraex, would it be possible for you to do a guide for LBRS? I now have the ability to go through BRD without getting completely lost, but I still need to learn LBRS for when Classic launches.
- Hopeful thanks in advance.
Working on it, I'm releasing an unrelated video and then the UBRS guide! :)
@@Thraex Hot damn. Well then, cheers!
questly narrator :) thanks
Can you do a guide for upper blackrock spire?
Working on it now!
Most of the quests weren't mentioned. What about the Arena? What about the escort quest, which ends in Stormwind? etc etc.
So I'm not a newbie when it comes to wow but I've never run this instance ever, and I hear it's the best instance every conceived (all of blackrock). I'm currently lvl 56 almost 57, should I wait till I'm done questing everywhere in the world to do this place? Or should I start now. I feel like if I start now like I don't even know where to start with all the quests and content. How do I experience this place to the fullest.
Start now! Just pick up the first few quests in morgans vigil and head in. You'll end up going back quite a few times. Theres a lot happening in the dungeon - some things I didn't even mention in this video!
Does anybody know what UI addon he has that shows all the cooldowns and abilities?
That's weakauras for sure
I wish the loot drop images were bigger since it’s terrible to see on phone
Noted for next time, sorry about that. Been struggling to make it look nice while also making it appropriately sized
You’re good brother bear, keep up the great work. I haven’t played in years...bad break up with ex took much of the fun out of the game at frozen throne....but your vids make the nostalgia wash over me like a wave that I almost literally have to brush away with my hand....keep going bub. Look forward to more. 😁👍
I cant seem to find this burning steeps zone.
:( Ur still lacking help with navigating this maze imo.
But still incredibly helpful, ty!
Yeah im also looking for some help with navigating the place but neither wowhead or this video will give that :S
"Burning Steeps?" lmfao
is there a classic addon that lets you have those maps?
Get Atlas and AtlasLoot on Twitch :-)
🔥
these guides make it seem hard.. we bombed through the whole dungeon like it was retail lol
i wish you would show what level they are
I have no idea how to get to the grimguzzler bar room place
Found it
wooooooow, I seriously hate being a hunter when I see these loot tables. wtf.
Pfft.. Everything is hunter loot
This dungeon actually took my group 3 hours to clear...
3 hours is nothing. My guild leader told me he spent 5 hours there. Then days later I finally got to this instance, a priest told me he spent 7 hours there. I'm glad I only spent like 4 hours.
bring the deeps to the steeps, boys
Also have you ever played vanilla wow tape can't make sure he has sufficient threat in vanilla wow a warrior for example if a DPS starts GPS on it boss before Warrior gets up 5 Sunday's he's pulling Negra it's that simple
I agree.
I dunno if you realized it or not, but you said disharmony of the fire twice. first one is "disharmony of the flame :)
whoops, i did not! Wow, I'm shocked this is now coming out, the video has been out for a while, haha
@@Thraex well, not to worry. the video is great and I Know while making a video things might get a little messy . Thanks anyway :)
Thank goodness no one at chuch and Valero doesnt need me
neat
It's really a lot simpler that you have you know it to all of the BRD is don't do it inter on a molten core attunement run and never go back
Gg ez
🎉
I still have no idea in which order I should do the quests, what the 'shortcuts' are or what paths i should take once inside. Good guide man.
Do them in the order I talk about them in the video. Pick everything up and run in there, you'll have to run the dungeon quite a few times. My guides can only get so specific while still fitting a certain time frame. I want to leave something for the player to discover themselves.
Sounds like a personal problem. There are way worse guides out there for this.
Get gud.
From where do you get the maps you are using ? Thanks !
burning steeps
The Burning Steeps??
Why am i not getting all these quest?
I don't know how is it going to be in classic, but on Kronos, Thaurissan becomes immune to all magic damage, not just fire. Well, def immune to arcane and shadow.
Hmm, not sure either. I was going off of what the original ability text stated. We'll find out soon! :D
@@Thraex classic.wowhead.com/spell=15636/avatar-of-flame
@@Thraex "Magic Immunity"
Also, you only need 2 runs to finish all Horde and neutral quests if you kill Pyron beforehand. The way you said it sounded like every other quest is behind a chain.
@@zeratulrus142 General Angerforge takes a few, saving the princess takes a few as well. But I think thats ultimately the only one thats 2+
@@Thraex Yeah, I guess Angerforge should be a follow-up to kill on sight, didn't know that it's supposed to work like that. What about the princess though? You kill Pyron outside, then, on your first run, talk and defend the guy inside, and save the princess on your second one.

hahahahhaah soooo funny dude
Burning... steeps?
I picked up these quests by just hitting 52..? didnt need to do a chain..?

I just got done with 5 hours in there ....
