As a pole who works as a teacher, I had a Hungarian student who recommended me which alcohols I should have, and which I should avoid in Hungary.....he was 12 at the time. I have never been prouder of a student

As a Brazilian, I love Hungary and the Hungarians. My co-workers from Hungary are some of the finest people I've met. Their cuisine is tasty such as the Brazilian with lots of spices including paprika (for some reason Brazilians love paprika too), they REALLY know how to drink (they drink their pálinka as we drink our cachaça), and their currency is as shitty as ours. I also love that Hungarian sense of humour is very similar with the Brazilian one, they are great on the dry humour as we Brazilians.
Anyway, Hungary is a familiar place for Brazilians, and vice versa for Hungarians, just that they're a cold Brazil and we are a tropical Hungary. Magyarország 🇭🇺🤝🇧🇷 Brasil
no way, I love Brazil and Brazilians so much. I definitely want to visit it one day if I get the chance. I'm glad you liked our cuisine. Much love from🇭🇺❤️🇧🇷

Eastern Hungarian here, standing up for this part of the country: It's a perfectly fine place with so many amazing places such as the Bükk mountains including Eger, Miskolc and Lillafüred (recommend visiting it via the narrow gauge railway from Miskolc), the Bódva valley (though it's the poorest part of the country), the Zemplén mountains with it's vineyards and many more.
Miskolc should NOT be on the nice places list, unless you consider being robbed nice. As a Gyöngyös resident i can highly recommend going to the Mátra mountain range or to Kékes.
@@leventekocsis9103Population mixture of Gyöngyös is the same like in Miskolc... So I can not imagine why Gyöngyös would be a better choice for a foreign person. Furthermore close to Gyöngyös there are numerous dangerous villages, so in this topic I can not see any differences between the two locations...BTW.: Lillafüred is the part of Miskolc.

Or Mátra is you still want to experience not being level with the sea, it's beautiful even if it's not a big mountain (barely reaches 1000m)
Some small corrections:
- Buda and Pest were united in 1873
- Bolt is also a taxi company in Budapest. There are several other trustworthy ones like Budapest Taxi, Főtaxi and 6x6 Taxi. Just remember **not waving a taxi**, juse their application.
- The burning buses shown are Turkish (Karsan Atak) buses. We don't have any Chinese buses in the city (at least on the blue bus lines).
- The Chinese university (Fudan) won't probably (and fortunately) open in 2024, since the project is at standstill since years.
Everything else is accurate AF.
because if EU and Viktor Orban, there is a lot of confusion about Hungary from the outside world.
but still, if you are a foreign rich businessman, you can probably open up a business in Hungary and be ok. Hungary has a perfect location in Central Europe and the cost is probably reasonable.
I don't know anything about taxes tho.
@@LevisH21 Taxes for businesses are the lowest in the EU. However, the VAT is 27%!
And Wine* Bike not beer bike :)
Don't mislead them. Every company except BOLT will try to scam you if they find out you are a foreigner. Even if you use the app, even if you don't.

Did you know that POLGARIAN (I just made this word lol) friendship is about 1000 years old? There's even a legend about two evergreen oak trees, at first sight - divided and different, with two separate trunks growing on the other sides of Karpatia mountains but deep under the soil surface, even under the mountains their roots has tangled and bound for ever, and that's why the growth and safety of one is the guarantor of the other'e existence.

To avoid scams, have a Hungarian speaking mate with you at all times, and let them speak first wherever you go. They will instinctively help you avoid eating at places that would rip you off, also being able to formulate Hungarian sentences lowers the prices by 50-75% in all restaurants.
I only know ONE Hungarian though, and she really really wants to get out of Hungary because to her it’s a traditionalist theocratic nightmare in the middle of Europe.
The places that rip people off are basically tourist traps. I visited the Xmas fair last year and holy shiznich the prices were dumb. You can get some very good food at reasonable price if you don't go into the fancy places or the traps.
If you don't have anyone humgarian speaking with you juat ask for a menu or ask how much the thing you want to get is. They can't charge you more than what's written in the menu. Ideally you don't want to pay more than 3k (huf) for any street food

As a Hungarian, first of all: yes.
Second, you only scraped the surface of scandals with the government. There are some insane things going on, most notably, last year with the education and teachers' protests. Additionally, from a cultural standpoint, we have the coolest and most versatile "swearing-system" known to man, in my opininion
Someone once said a hungarian could swear for more than an hour without repeating a word
And I thought Finnish had the best swear words
How was the protest a big deal? Teachers protest every year for a while now, and they barely work.
Tell me more about ow this swearing system works
Teacher protests here are meaningless, they should just get another job if they hate it so much. What's way more worrying is how the political elite buys up land and property with the money they steal from taxpayers. They even use mafia-methods like coercion, extortion and blackmail if they want your property or business that you don't want to sell. And let's not mention the battery factories that they keep bringing in to boost the economy despite massive disapproval and protests from locals due to them destroying entire regions - or the forced immigration of Asians who will get to work at these places...

I live in Helsinki and we have those same Chinese buses. Waiting outside at -20C because that stupid bus can't handle snow has been a real good motivation to get my driving license so i don't ever have to use the bus again
There are no Chinese buses in Budapest in fact, it's all Volvos, MAN, Mercedes-Benz and a shitty Hungarian one Modulo (small one that goes up the castle).
@@leves777fycking hate those little blue busses. Always filt with my own people (tourists). It cramped, loud from the inside and the outside. Everything always feels like its gonna fall apart
Budapest is one of my favorite cities in the world & this video just popped up on my screen. I clicked, i laughed, i liked the video and now i'm a subscriber. You deserve more subscribers, i really enjoyed watching this one & i'll watch your old videos.

Nagyon ügyes vagy testvérem
0:21 a little correction here is that this happened in tesco. In a couple places you can buy carp filet that's literally prepared from live carp in front of you

As a Hungarian I'm impressed how many hungarian memes you included that were big in the country, well done!
it was great, funny, true, and definately deserving a sub
as a hungarian i have to add the 8-13 year olds that you occasionally see chilling on a corner with the most extravagant looking vape in their hands while coughing up curdled blood
I have a Hungarian friend. Everybody should have a Hungarian friend. I've known him for many years. This video explains a lot.
