We do not know what is happening but its concern for security on Easy Anti-Cheat, Apex, EA, no one knows. All I know is you need to not log into Apex until we hear info.
Reports from Faide about being potentially compromised on his computer but unsure if its related.

@@PureFPS-1 That was debunked long ago. Not that EA doesn't deserve all the slack thrown their way but some Pros spoke a year ago that its not "all EA, blame EA". Respawn are just as scummy if not worse. Surprisingly, they make many of the "greedy" decisions and EA can do nothing.

It's pretty obvious that the intent is to provoke them into fixing the cheating situation. Why else would you hack their pro tournament? So I applaud the attempt at throwing the cheating issues in their faces. I seriously doubt, however, that anything will change. Maybe they'll do a ban wave or two over the next week. But that does practically nothing, as we all know.
This destroyer dude could be the biggest hero or villain in apex for ages, could be just causing random chaos for the hell of it or actually trying to better the game by forcing EA to do something about cheating to save the game

I was just trying to speak on the size of the knowledge gap when it comes to modern technology, and the unbelievable amount of power which those at the top of it possess, which is 'scary' in concept. I understand how comupters work more than many I've come across, and just because I haven't stated my educational background in the subject doesn't mean I'm completely and utterly unqualified to talk about it. Regardless of how much knowledge you have about computers, you are not about to sit here and tell me that as we try and switch or convert our real life needs/wants and services into digital versions, that majority of people will have a good enough understanding of it to not be at risk to any scammers, hackers, fraudsters or others who are able and willing to do something harmful. Yes you are right, network security greatly reduces and minimizes the chances of anything awful happening, but all it really takes is one bad apple who is just as smart and capable as those in charge of the security to get right past it. It's happened to me on multiple occasions, It has happened to friends on multiple occasions, and It has happened to family on multiple occasions. And none of those times was it knowingly preventable before hand, nor should any of us have felt the need to have. In the real world, if someone is going to mess with you, in any way, you are probably going to be able to tell. By the way the person will act, look, etc. You can see it coming. On the internet, most times there is nothing that will indicate when a malicious attack will happen or who's doing it, until the attack has already begun.
Security breaches have always happened, and they always will happen. It's up to us as people to make sure that the things we put onto and use the internet for are not essential enough to greatly change the course of our lives if altered. Think about how many things were so much easier when they were not entirely digital, for instance movies. Yes, I may have to get up and change the disc every time I want something new, but the quality of the show is not dependent on any streaming services server speed, my own internet connection, or whether or not certain content may be available in my area. If there is a problem, it would be caused by the disc, the dvd player, or the screen I'm watching it on. See how everything is in my control? When you watch Netflix, at any moment they can shut the servers down, your internet could cut out, you could have your account hacked and logged out of, there is a countless number of things which are completely out of your control that affect what you're doing. This is happening to more and more services than something as meaningless as movies. And the things it's happening to are those which we need to be in control of ourselves, for instance; finances, and employment. The fact that some peoples jobs can be shut down or they can get locked out of their account or prevented from working by another cause besides the employers or themselves is fucking lunatic. Network security may do a lot, but it is not some impenetrable defense that will protect any and everything behind it. Same goes for nearly any protection in real life, obviously, the difference is that most of the time it is in our hands. Quite literally.

No esport-title that I am aware of has ever had something of this magnitude happen. There have been cases of individual players cheating during events and LANs but never someone hacking the servers and putting cheats on players.

the hackers said it was RCE exploits so not really a new thing, the hackers basically have everything and can do anything and unlike CoD or CSGO RCE exploits where they just steal people information the hacker just give them cheats(i hope he only do that we never know)

This can't be stopped by any anticheat, since it's a rce hack. This exactly is the reason, why you shouldn't give some random ass company kernel level access to your system. I’m an Xbox player and my game began crashing over and over as soon as I got back into lobby at same time the hack happened so it must be even beyond just pc players. Hope all your stuff Dazs and everyone else’s stuff is safe ❤
OMG THAT MAKES SENSE. I was playing mixtape and for some reason was playing on a slideshow with how much lag I was experiencing. I also got kicked out of the lobby like twice and for some reason the game tried to put me in orientation matches. I have no idea if this was at the same time, but for sure I experienced some pretty suspicious things even though I’m on PS4.
I was wondering why mid game the server would crash I was under the impression that I was being hacked but this confirms it

The cheating and 6/9 man problem in ranked is the worse it’s ever been this season, Apex lays off a large portion of its staff and switches to AI, the same hacker that gifted Mande and Hal thousands of packs have infiltrating ALGS regional finals, $700 universal heirlooms… Respawn and EA’s priorities are a dumpster fire and a half. Whole hearted response, f-- Respawn and EA.

I heard its a team of 5, and then recently theres layoffs so i wouldnt be surprised if that team was down to 2 now. They need more people on the cheaters. Sounds to me like what you are really asking for is another $300 collection event.
the reason why ac's aren't good is because they need to view the code of the cheat to then add parameters that trigger the ac to that method, otherwise its always a manual ban and only flagged by reports, ac''s only trigger known programs, if its privately developed the chances are it won't trigger anything from the AC till the AC is updated with x/y method. this happened on ALGS accounts which leads me to believe it was a respawn dev, and with hideouts being mad about his friends lay offs, on top of the recent posts of him being extremely busy and thats why cheaters are going ham out in ranked to a couple pros randomly having cheats on ALGS specific accounts, on a different version of the game and a private version of the game that is updated each tourney that only respawn has access to.

I must be old but towards the end of MW2 era you would join a public lobby and players hacking in it would give everyone hacks like speed/jump/walls and they'd stay on until you restarted your console. Not to mention all the accounts that got max prestige, all skins, tags and player cards from public lobbies.

It's more like a lifetime ban with no appeal for saying a bad word. And the known cheaters like that guy who was #1 pred has had his ban lifted like 4 times.

Y'know, there actually is a correlations between the two who were "Given" hacks.
a few weeks ago, the same hacker gave the two a messload of packs (around 4000 of them).
They are literally the biggest Apex names. If he wants to send a message, get famous or just cause chaos it's very easy to get recognised by using Gen and Hal.

what looks suspect to me is when the hack/cheat loader appears on his screen, he somehow knows how to make it disappear, something only someone who is using them would know how to do. i think he accidently enabled his hack to show up on his stream and when he noticed, he panicked. Same exact scenario when CLARA put hacks on that girls livestream. She realized what she did, panicked, blamed a fake person then immediately stopped playing.

Maybe you should take this incident as an opportunity to talk with some experts on why you shouldn't let random companies install software with kernel level access onto your system. Also, what if your wish already was true, that cheaters go to jail instantly? Would Gen and Hal now be sitting in jail, until they can be proven not guilty?

Doubt it. Consoles dont have the same Operating systems as a PC so its unlikely that any programs the hacker could use would actually run on a console. Maybe mod menus but not anything that could install itself onto the console, Which is the issue with PC rn

By virtue of installing the game and anti-cheat the person has given that software the permission to run code on that computer. It's rare, but if a hacker could find a vulnerability in the source code they can use it to execute code remotely to install/run things on other player's computers. Trolling ALGS and pros would be the least of the problem. Truly malicious acts would be to install viruses, trojans, keyloggers, etc... to gain access to personal information and financial accounts.
Why are people saying this is an EA/Respawn problem? This has to be client side/on the host computer, because in order to see this you have to inject directly into memory and your game files. So seems more of a personal problem... Albeit the anti-cheat should just disable cheats.
I mean this almost speaks more to those who raised the people that think hacking and cheating is okay than those who hack and cheat. I mean this is bottom of the line pathetic, no one gains anything positive enough for this to be worth all the damage it caused. Just sad.

If you have any suspicion of being hacked, forget about antivirus or simply changing passwords. The minimum is to wipe your whole system and do a clean installation. Change all passwords, and invalidate all open sessions at any online service you are using. Do this from a device you suspect has not been compromised.

This is so weird but I think it could’ve had some effect on more than just PC players. I was playing mixtape and literally was not able to play for a good chunk of my matches with how bad it was, I even got kicked out of my lobby and somehow got put into orientation matches. This could be highly coincidental, as I have no idea when the actual hacking stuff happened, but an experience I had that was suspicious to me nonetheless. Also the second clip is another reason for me to not like Hal. Me personally would immediately leave the game if I somehow have cheats active in a scrim or whatever, especially if I’m not guilty of having or intentionally using them. Like bro I get that you still want to help your team and all and that it’s not your fault, but come on, you still have an advantage over literally everybody. And he doesn’t even do it when his teammates literally tell him to leave.
To me it looks like IP target thru the server. He gave gen spec mode and prob hal overrided AA. He was in the game as spectator, no?
You cannot transfer files via IP address, this is actually an RCE exploit found in the Easy AntiCheat.

It feels too convenient. Like they accidentally tabbed to it or accidentally initiated it and realizing theyre caught, immediately tried to play it off. But I also dont know anything about any of the players, im new to the apex scene, so this is strictly an outsiders perspective. Just in my time playing FPS games for the last 20+ years, it feels too convenient having seen similar instances over the years.

This is exactly why Hideouts needs to take accountability. He's the vocal head for anti cheat and needs to stop pretending that what they've been doing works because it certainly doesn't. Fortnite has the same anti-cheat and isn't even 1/10th as bad with the cheating, the small indie devs should probably stop using the free version of EAC considering their revenue.
Most bans in fps games aren't even done by anti cheat. EA/Respawn don't employ alot of people for manual bans the way Epic and Riot do. They have like max 5 people worldwide in their anti cheat team lmao

Good thing this happened because i ran anti-virus full scan and i had a serious virus on my pc. Removed it and now everything seems fine. Smh i took my pc apart 2 times in the last month trying to figure out what was wrong and it was this. Smh
See, I'm gonna sound nuts for a min, but if you think about it, it makes sense.
So, remember when they hacked Apex over Titan fall? For several months leading up to and AFTER, I could not play Apex without it feeling like someone else was trying to fight for control over whichever character I was trying to play. I even had gaming friends physically come to my house and watch as it happened in real time. I believe that that was a play test. It was all leading up to this. A larger scale hack. It was never about Titan Fall.
We have been telling Respawn they have had a problem for years... At this point, it just feels like a money scam. Apex will just end up in the same state as TF... unplayable. Until the hackers sink their claws in too deep, Respawn is riding us for as much money as possible before it is no longer playable.
