@@carterd5364 I listened to the full album once to figure out where all the hate was at. 7 of the songs are definitely songs I’d get down to, of the 7, 4 are songs I’d consider a 10/10 (my standards are very low though) I fell those 7 are looked down upon simply because they are on the Beatles for Sale album as a whole. I’m a Loser feels straight out of the Help! album, I’ll Follow the Sun is simply great (and my most listened to Beatles song,) Baby’s in Black has amazing harmonies, No Reply too with amazing harmonies and that “realise” and “eyes” where the vocals went everywhere is a surreal sound. IMO it’s over thrashed, not a D or F tier album, but still I think it deserves the hate for 7 filler songs, although the 7 other songs definitely should not be so hated.

I love that Harrison got two of his great songs at the top. He became an equal to Lennon and McCartney with those two brilliant songs. I place "Here Comes The Sun" near the top as well.
@@goplad1 I believe in the longrun Harrison was the better musician. Not only was he the most skilled guitarist, but once they broke up, he had the best solo career, he turned out to be a much better composer than McCartney and Lennon
@@jun6174 In the beginning it seemed so, since John and Paul made most Beatles songs, but after breakup George had a much better solo career than the other 3. His music matured much more than the others. My recommendation, listen to George's solo albums and see for yourself

Maybe it's just me, but seeing "Not a Second Time" at 206 is just devastating. Probably not a Top 50, but definitely should be higher than that. Seeing "Yesterday" at number 7 it's satisfying, such a good song ;)
When a song like "Little Child" hits #216 on a band's list of songs, it says a lot about their talent. If another group had performed it in the 60s, it would have been their biggest hit.

I love “Act Naturally”, “Why Don’t We Do It In The Road”, “Honey Pie”, “Love Me Do”, “Yellow Submarine”, “Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da”, “When I’m Sixty-Four”, “Good Day Sunshine” and “Lovely Rita” despite them not cracking the top 100.

Some of these were valid but Words Of Love at 197 was criminal, so was The Long and Winding Road at 92😭😭 My top 5 in no particular order(except #1) are Lovely Rita Let It Be For No One The Long and Winding Road Across the Universe🥇 But I looove like every Beatles song(especially from Let It Be and Revolver)
Doctor Robert from 'Revolver' at number 139 ? It's brilliant - and one of the best songs on that album. I think you should listen to the contrast between Lennon's world-weary vocal, Harrison's guitar work and the harmonies on this particular track more closely. And it's probably the band's first overt 'drug' song to boot !

Strawberry Fields Forever is my favorite song ever, by any artist. While I'm aware it's a pretty popular and well regarded Beatles song, I genuinely was not expecting it to be the best rated on the site 😊
The German version of She Loves You is placed in the worst places, it is simply another language, the song remains the same and does not deserve to be in the worst.

I grew up with The Beatles so some songs are permanently attached to a time and place. I was 9 when Beatlemania exploded in America, probably the perfect age to meet them. It is almost unacceptable that any song from A Hard Day's Night, Help!, Revolver or Rubber Soul be in the bottom third. I divide The Beatles' run into three periods; my favorite song from each period are Please Please Me, She Said She Said, and Across the Universe.

It’s amazing how evenly the songwriters are spread out for the top ten: John 3.5 Paul 3.5 George 3 We’ll never see three such powerful songwriters in one group ever again.
I don’t subscribe and am thinking I should, so these song ratings are quite fun, as well as genre pairings. As a Beatles fan, awe inspiring to hear clips of their whole catalog back to back like this. As a metal fan, I actually agree that “Helter Skelter” and “I Want You (She’s So Heavy)” are the only two songs that deserve the label.
I think of the AR medley as one 'song' (or at least one musical creation, such as 'Close to the Edge' or 'Suite: Judy Blue Eyes'), and as such it is my #1
Putting Mother natures son at 92 and Two Of Us at 88, and then putting Carry that weight and We can work it out at 24 and 23 respectively... WHAT? How, Mother Natures Son is delicate and vibrant, its everything an acoustic song should be, with a beautiful brass crescendo, a gorgeous vocal performance from Paul and tight, cohesive and colourful lyrics. And not to mention the shuffling playground that is TWO OF US!!! How. Is. This. 88? Maybe it's that it always struck such a powerful note as a road-trip song, and that it was John and Paul singing at each other, mirroring the connection of any two people, working or romantically linked. But the counter-melodies of george guitars, or honestly is this Paul's bass I'm not sure, provide really wonderful structure to the song, particularly in the bridge sections. And the whistle at the end of Two of Us just puts a smile on your face. The blasphemous two so highly placed do have qualities that are mildly-engaging. Like John's Bridge in We Can Work it Out about having no time and the tempo slow down is intriguing for sure, but the rest of the song?? Ekkk, not much to go on apart from a mediocre melody. And please, the absolute trainwreck that is Carry That Weight, deserves to be at least above 80. This is a song that takes its most interesting melody from YCNGMYM. Its other claim to fame is the distorted guitar that begins the transition into The End. At the very least, above 50. I feel it may be getting votes from its position inside the melody, and not its qualities as a song. I hope to change minds and hearts!!!

I love that Harrison got two of his great songs at the top. He became an equal to Lennon and McCartney with those two brilliant songs. I place "Here Comes The Sun" near the top as well.
@@goplad1 I believe in the longrun Harrison was the better musician. Not only was he the most skilled guitarist, but once they broke up, he had the best solo career, he turned out to be a much better composer than McCartney and Lennon

Doctor Robert from 'Revolver' at number 139 ? It's brilliant - and one of the best songs on that album. I think you should listen to the contrast between Lennon's world-weary vocal, Harrison's guitar work and the harmonies on this particular track more closely. And it's probably the band's first overt 'drug' song to boot !

I grew up with The Beatles so some songs are permanently attached to a time and place. I was 9 when Beatlemania exploded in America, probably the perfect age to meet them. It is almost unacceptable that any song from A Hard Day's Night, Help!, Revolver or Rubber Soul be in the bottom third. As a Beatles fan, awe inspiring to hear clips of their whole catalog back to back like this.
As a metal fan, I actually agree that “Helter Skelter” and “I Want You (She’s So Heavy)” are the only two songs that deserve the label.
I think of the AR medley as one 'song' (or at least one musical creation, such as 'Close to the Edge' or 'Suite: Judy Blue Eyes'), and as such it is my #1
Putting Mother natures son at 92 and Two Of Us at 88, and then putting Carry that weight and We can work it out at 24 and 23 respectively... WHAT? How, Mother Natures Son is delicate and vibrant, its everything an acoustic song should be, with a beautiful brass crescendo, a gorgeous vocal performance from Paul and tight, cohesive and colourful lyrics. And not to mention the shuffling playground that is TWO OF US!!! How. Is. This. 88? Maybe it's that it always struck such a powerful note as a road-trip song, and that it was John and Paul singing at each other, mirroring the connection of any two people, working or romantically linked. But the counter-melodies of george guitars, or honestly is this Paul's bass I'm not sure, provide really wonderful structure to the song, particularly in the bridge sections. And the whistle at the end of Two of Us just puts a smile on your face. The blasphemous two so highly placed do have qualities that are mildly-engaging. Like John's Bridge in We Can Work it Out about having no time and the tempo slow down is intriguing for sure, but the rest of the song?? Ekkk, not much to go on apart from a mediocre melody. And please, the absolute trainwreck that is Carry That Weight, deserves to be at least above 80. This is a song that takes its most interesting melody from YCNGMYM. Its other claim to fame is the distorted guitar that begins the transition into The End. At the very least, above 50. I feel it may be getting votes from its position inside the melody, and not its qualities as a song. I hope to change minds and hearts!!!
