What Lea is saying about "Turns out there is a downside of having a baby with a medical genius. It 's because Shaun is thinking like a doctor not a father. Shaun is getting worried so he went from father to The Good Doctor mode.

Highly irritating when shows don’t do their research!!! A 22week micro preemie Does not have mature enough lungs for steroids!!! It literally would do nothing! How do I know right? Because I was that person at 22weeks! Also small fluid leaks are usually a good sign of PROM (premature rupture of membranes) how do I know again? Because I started leaking at 19weeks. I went into the hospital at 22weeks and 2days and was told I could go home because she wasn’t viable. I said no and stayed in the hospital. At 23weeks and 0days her cord prolapsed (came out before her) due toy water rupturing early. She should have a her cervix stitched shut to at least be proactive while it may not be helpful, also she should be receiving a hormone that has a 40% chance of stopping premature labor! And another issue! Babies can be born at 22weeks and 6days-23weeks and 6days with parents permission the child can possibly survive! I was given a less than 1% chance for my daughter and she survived. She did not get steroids either because her lungs were not mature enough. It wasn’t until
She was born and even though the dr said she wasn’t worth it and she’d be a burden on our family (which we did not believe any of it) we still told the drs to save her if they can. When shows like this don’t portray the reality of a premature birth it’s offensive to micro preemie parents. Lea acting all nonchalant about it is completely false! Your in constant turmoil without knowing the fate. Also your not going to be sitting up in bed because you are usually tipped backwards in attempts to slow a leak. My daughter survived it’s possible for her baby to survive even if she didn’t hit 24weeks yet. At 24weeks the doctors legally have to save the baby at 22weeks and 6 days to 23weeks and 7th day it’s only upon parents request. Currently they are even having success with 22weeks and 2days surviving with more technological advances. Do the damn research!
