Amazing, humble, intelligent, hard-working, mother, wife... it's so refreshing to hear a powerful woman's perspective on relevant issues. She not only talked about her performance at work, but also mentioned her soft spots (husband, family, etc). This is inspirational for women who want to make a difference in the world. Thank you for posing this!

What an amazing, intelligent and down to earth lady!! I really like the fact that she isnt sitting there and giving the full credit to herself- the gratitude she has for her husband her boss and network around her is something rare. Many people who have climbed corporate ladder makes it all about themselves. It was an absolute pleasure listening to her❤

We need more CEOs like Indra N specially when it comes to understanding childcare - unfortunately the country I live in - Ireland childcare is massive so much so that many women opt to stay at home as it’s not worth while working and giving all their earnings to a daycare facility or a child minder .... one needs to be on a really decent salary to justify working while having had more than one child... also moving up the corporate ladder another big issue in this country for women....

These questions encourage women not give up their careers for the sake of anything else. Motherhood is a part of her life not the only part. So.... :)

When you read Lean In by Sheryl Sandberg, you will realise how people in general concentrate on a woman's personal life and ask working women to quit/work part-time,etc. Now asking questions about motherhood/husband is a strict no-no when you are in a general conference where men are also present and you are discussing about the successes of the company/person, etc. But in this conference which is literally called Women In The World, most of the audience constitutes of working women who look upto their role models on-stage. A part of the reason why they are there is because they want learn to have a work-family balance too. The points she relays regarding her personal life is so impactful - boils down to 'marriage is a major career decision' and 'have good bosses who will support you or just quit the job if they do not because you are an asset'. So what makes you think it is not appropriate to ask questions about motherhood and her husband?

Hi Indra Nooyi I like ur videos they are very audience friendly, communicated in very simple language. And none of your videos atleast which I have watched u 're not explaining the profits/revenue with ppt slides. They are helpful to individual in many ways. And yes everyone is deserving , everyone has his or her share of adversities, tradeoffs , risk appetite , support systems in their own manner, and so on. But in country like USA where pink slip / hire and fire works however competent u being high cost employees the company's ask to go take example of Steve Jobs the Apple Inc run without him for 10 yrs there may be many more but might nit got recognition or might be still struggling. The point is dont you think u 're fortunate of course u were deserving that u are lucky enough to be with one company for n number of years and climbing the ladders.. I hope u are getting what I want to convey. Anyway I liked u said thanks that I am with same husband and giving him the credit also. Ba bye.

Thanks for posting this but after listening I found that she spoke allot about the benefits that were afforded to her as a woman in the workplace, but actually never heard about what she did at Pepsico to afford other women the same opportunities. Talk is easy, but putting your own neck on the line to effect change at work is a completely different ball game. Most women cannot afford statements like ''if they wanted me...that's what came with it''! Grateful if you could get women on here that have actually undertaken activities to support and promote diversity and inclusion at work.
