About the whole Ghetsis thing, dataminers actually found that his hydreigon has literally zero friendship instead of the base value that most NPC controlled Pokemon have so the current theory is that his hydreigon lashed out and mauled him.

The most common fan theory, especially when B2W2 first released was that Ghetsis had "killed" the protagonists from BW after N leaves with Zekrom/Reshiram.
Ghetsis killed this kid, and in doing so, got caught in the crossfire, or otherwise caused his Hydreigon to lash out at him and cost him his arm.
The frostbite theory is "okay", but I personally think him getting rid of the previous champion and that resorting in his missing arm fits his arc better.

Most of the damage had to have been from a strong force-something like a dragon.
And he has an under level Hydreigon, like many of the higher-ups in the old Rocket gang and such...
Hell, Lance's whole Team was lower levels than their Evolution would occur at... and in the Manga, Lance is part of/joins with Team Rocket on several occasions, until it's disbanded and he fights them in GSC...

Edit: Okay then, Ignore this part cuz i was kinda wrong in this one
I mean it kinda makes sense cuz -kyurem wasn't revealed in B/W- (Actually, He was in B/W postgame) AND we see his arm is blackened where he puts a crown on N in one of the cutscenes-
      ------
I do believe in the theory that Hydreigon was the one who attacked Ghetsis not Kyurem, here are my reasons on why:
-Ghetsis' left arm looks *burned* but he's able to move it
-If he was attacked by Kyurem, wouldn't he be like won't be able to move his arm because it was frozen due to Kyurem's Glaciate and shouldn't it be paralyzed?
-Kyurem is a part Ice type and has no fire moves therefore it's Ghetsis' Hydreigon that did that to his left arm
-Hydreigon can learn several fire type moves by TM and Ghetsis' Hydreigon has the move Fire blast. Since Ghetsis abuses his Deino, dropping it's friendship to the lowest, It might have brutally attacked Ghetsis using Fire blast after evolving into Hydreigon

As for Latios and Latias, the Pokemon Hero's movie was released the year after Ruby and Sapphire so I'm thinking that one was more of a convenience scenario. It was always weird to me that they were highlighted in a movie during the Johto arc but given the timeline of things it might have been the only opportunity the Pokemon company had to give them their own movie. Looking at a list of the Pokemon movies, since 1999 there has been a movie released every year except for 2010, probably because they dropped 2 movies in 2009, and 2019.

We got enough pieces from the game story,, official website info and pokedex entries to tell a lot of Eternatus' story. Basically it arrived on or in the meteor whose impact created the Dusty Bowl 20,000 years ago and caused Galarian Corsola to become extinct and later be reborn as a Ghost type as the destruction caused the sea there to drain away.
Eternatus was dormant there for a long time, but woke up and went out of control 3,000 years ago. Zacian, Zamazenta and the two Heroes quelled it and it went back into dormancy, it's leaking energy creating Power Spots all over Galar and pieces shed from its body forming Wishing Stars. Then Rose discovered its resting place, and overloading it with Wishing Stars caused Eternatus to go crazy again, leading to Zacian and Zamazenta having to stabilize it again (the excess energy being released and spreading around Galar, hence why the amount of Watts you can gather goes way up after this).

I feel like Volcanion's distribution itself is evidence that there were originally different plans for it. It was officially revealed only about two months prior to the announcement of Generation 7, and players in most parts of the world couldn't get their hands on a legitimate one until, at the earliest, November 2016. Sun & Moon were first released on November 18, 2016; X & Y were first released on October 13, 2013, and Volcanion was in the code from day one. It took almost an entire generation for Game Freak to officially acknowledge that this pokémon existed, and even longer to get it in players' hands. About the Mustard thing, he was clearly talking about the Gigantamax Urshifu quests since you're supposed to do it at a later time in the game.
A lot of people didn't understand this because they've already done everything (beaten Leon and gotten their pokémon to lvl 100) and they just breezed through the whole Isle of Armor story arc in one sitting which you weren't supposed to.
The first half of the Isle of Armor story takes place early game when you just started your adventure, then continue on to the original story of Sw/Sh, and by then you can go back to the second half of the Isle of Armor DLC where Kubfu will naturally be around level 70 (without using exp candy, just by following the main story). That's when Mustard says your bond with Kubfu is now strong and is now ready to evolve and upgrade to its gigantamax forme.

I would add the Sprout Tower as a mystery as well in Johto. We know there is a scrapped Weepinbell evolution but overall I always find it weird that Violet City had a Tower dedicated to Bellsprout. Nothing in the story or the area gives a good explaination beside being inspired by it's gentle/calm nature. The Gym is dedicated to flying types. What is it's function beside being the home for sage characters. Also finding Flash in that area always seemed weird. Bellsprout isn't known for that either.

    • @wildsilverfox3149

I never thought of it that way. But your right, it is weird how they would give a tower to dedicate a bellsprout which isn’t known to be a magnificent Pokémon not legendary, if anything it could be back in the past where Pokémon was still feared like in PLA and bellsprout was seen as a magical growing plant that somehow helped in some way and became somewhat of an icon to people that later on created a tower just for bellsprout. The flash tm is easily explained away due to it being conveniently what we need to see in specific caves in the region, to obtain a teddiursa I think? My memory isn’t great with the johto era, but I do think it is odd to have a tower to dedicate to a nine legendary Pokémon that’s nothing like ho oh or lugia. it could of been mistaken for a celebi due to its plant like form and small size but that’s a tad stretch.

About Ghetsis, I’m pretty sure that his black arm was actually always a black glove covering the arm (even during the first appearance of his arm during the coronation scene
If you look carefully you can see bumps near his wrists that aren’t there on his normal arm! Similar to a glove that would fold)
So I do believe that the theory of his arm being Injured in a way that would reduce movement/make it look a bit deformed would be more likely than it being completely frost bitten
Another detail is that on the sprites, the right side of Ghetsis’ face seems to be paralyzed (very noticeable especially in USUM)
Personally, like many people, I agree with the theory of his Hydreigon having lashed out and attacked him

There was so much past/future theming in X&Y, Magearna could have represented the past while Zygarde represented the future in some way, and how one impacts the other.

During World War II, the region was home to the Sugondese, which were native to the area. Unfortunately, this was a dark time for Japan, and they raided the territory, leaving the Sugondese nearly extinct. The Japanese military had demolished the Sugon tower to assert their dominance. The one with Mustard in sword and shield - the sword and shield DLC’s were clearly meant to be part of the main game, they just didn’t meet the deadline or they realised they could make more money in DLC’s. Nobody in the isle of armour addresses you as the champion, nor do they talk about the events with Eternatus.
In fact, they still talk about Leon being the unbeatable champ despite you beating him. Mustard knew about Eternatus because the events of this DLC were supposed to take place mid game. Further backed up by the same level scaling as the wild area, if you were supposed to do the dlc post game it would be more of a post game challenge.
Regarding kalos games, I have always felt that due to stores ignoring the worldwide release and selling copies early, causing other stores to follow, that they kind of wiped their hands with it. The games felt like they had so much more to discover, but the whole release was soured.

Magearna was created in Kalos according to its own movie, in the Kingdom of Azoth. AZOTH has been used in ORAS as a plan to bring an end and new beginning to everything, while a Team Aqua/Magma grunt confirms the A stood for beginning and Z stood for end. Magearna's entire concept and design seems to have been heavily inspired by the Ultimate Weapon, with it being fueled by Pokemon life energy and both opening their flower-shaped cannons to fire their signature beam attack. My guess is that the creator was a fan of Kalos history and wanted to model a Pokemon off it, but nothing too tied to the direct events. They even had a good intention for it, which was just giving it off as a gift to the Azoth princess and having it be her playmate. Magearna's role from how it's portrayed is essentially being the ultimate gift Pokemon since it was used as a gift for a princess, and now it's being used as a gift to us. Its source of power however, was proven to be a threat since many people wanted to take advantage of it, so it was hidden away for so long.

  • @multiversal_guardian7079

On the part about Mustard and his strange foreshadowing of something we do not know, I don't think it's necessarily anything bad. It's entirely possible he plans on asking the player to become the new Master of the Dojo when he eventually retires. He's definitely getting up there in age, and he'll have to step down eventually. It makes sense to get someone he sees great promise in, to help them grow so they'll be ready when he asks them to take over in his stead. He'd probably test your strength one final time before stepping down and making you the Master, which explains why you both need to continue training, so you're both at your very greatest.

Pretty sure Mustard just wanted to make sure we, as the new Galar Champion, were ready to protect our title from everybody else cause he and everyone else intended to become stronger by then. But it's just an educated guess on my part; even if what Mustatd said did sound WAY more ominous and important than that.

Suicune is the leader of the legendary beasts and the idea that a tower associated with Suicune or the trio of beasts is entirely possible. The Tin Tower and the Brass Tower were constructed in honor of Lugia and Ho-Oh respectively, yet your encounter with Suicune (in Crystal) is in the Brass Tower which seems strange. Wouldn't these divine beasts, resurrected by Ho-Oh garner reverence from the citizens of Ecruteak? Wouldn't they show them the same respect by building a monument in their honor? It's just speculation, but the way they're mentioned makes them seem pretty important. Just food for thought.

This speculation, especially regarding Magearna, is utterly redundant.
Given the context from the Magearna movie, the Dex Entries, etc.
Magearna wasn't meant to exist. Nicholas accidentally created it while performing alchemy. So, having created a new lifeform, originally kept it hidden, taught it basic manners and how to help people and Pokémon.
Before his passing, Nicholas presented Magearna to his King as a gift for the royal family, but specifically as a maid/nanny for the children of the King. Nicholas passed away later, and Magearna shut itself inside its "shell" in a sort of vigil//"mourning" phase, until it opened back up and began spending time with the children.
In Alola, it was mentioned to be a gift to that ancient King, but somehow it stopped working and ended up in the Hau'Oli Antiques shoppe.
Personally, I think the Kingdom of Azoth was based in Kalos at some point, but wasn't made FOR Kalos, as it fits as an "Island Guardian" like the Tapu's a bit better.
Being silver-grey, and man-made, EXACTLY LIKE the Aether Island...
It fits in Alola just as well as Kalos, even when considering a potential "Zed" Pokémon game smh
