I love that in Deth Wizards, the Necromancer, given enough time, will always kill all the Heroes. However, the firm 5 round limit implies that the grocery trip that is the mission needs to wrap up because the necromancer has to get home to prevent some minor/major inconvenience. The necromancer could kill you all, but the latest crystal ball showing of "Deth Island" is gonna be on and they are NOT gonna miss it
I've completely 'fallen' for Death Wizards - not only has it given new life to an ARMY of 3D printed minis that have been just taking up space, but it fully justified further 3D printing nonsense and the fact that I have no friends has no bearing on my enjoyment! 🤣🤣🤣
I get cutting the news in the case that it's no the news because of your recording timeline, but i do miss your commentaries on the news items. Even if they aren't up to the hour, your commentary has entertainment value.
What Vince said about co op tabletop gaming was super refreshing to hear, I find it so much easier to get my wife or friends involved in a game where I can help be on their side and feel less pressure!
My 9year old daughter who loves NASA but isn’t interested in sci-fi, is now in love with space station zero. Thank you for making games that we can play together!
Vince is the voice of wisdom about health in your 40s, sugar feeds cancer, and I housed metric tons of sugary black coffee in my 30s and paid for it with a prostate cancer polyp at the age of 42
I love that John started dying on camera and his reaction is basically like, ya its fine. I'm a diabetic too and when my alarm goes off its about the same reaction.
My players took 6 months to understand they had to be proactive as the villainy vampires in Vampire: The Masquerade. It's quite different then usual RPG settings.
Using the rating system for activation is actually really good. I think of games that struggle with the exact problems Vince points out. A game that uses a similar rating system for list building that struggles with these activation problems a lot is a game like Marvel Crisis Protocol. I remember in that game, for a long time the best list in the game was just taking a horde of rating 2 and 3 heroes because they could just win through sheer number of activations and after some balance the game went to taking a lot less heroes but they’re really high threat heroes that can just dominate the game. Tying activations to ratings really is a clever way to avoid these sorts of pitfalls.
I was driving and listening, I had to pull over. I thought Vinces "Creed" rant was odd, but if he wants to die on that hill, more power to him. I did meet him at TMX, and he is a very kind man and a great painting.
Lost me on AOS 4.0 as soon as he confirmed battle tactics were back. The hole was dug even deeper when he revealed the game has devolved into MTG. I am very thankful that Vince and uncle Atom have miniature agnostic options to keep my Warhammer armies from turning into dust collectors.
If you absolutely need your fiction to be speculative, you can read Nick Mamatas' "Move Under Ground", which is basically Kerouak's On the Road meets Cthulhu. "this thoroughly unique novel begins with the rise of the lost city of R'lyeh, portending certain doom for human existence. The witness to this deadly harbinger is Jack Kerouac, who recruits fellow beats Neal Cassady and William S. Burroughs for a cross-country road trip that will climax in a confrontation with a murderous cult."
Zero sugar Canada Dry ginger ale has replaced all sodas and non-flat-water drinks for me - no caffeine either! And it's pretty much replaced alcohol too.
could someone explain to me how Vince is so so SO productive? I'm thinking some kinda of time traveller, where he has longer days, coupled with a deal with satan where he no longer needs sleep.

No suprise. Who would buy a box again the insane prices. Commander is the predominate format. Only singles needed. Bulk rares and commons are of lower value. Other than drafting (forces you to interact with the undesirable cards). I think the biggest issue is that so many stores have the capital to break countless boxes, pre-sell cards weeks before any player can get them, which justifies the constant box price increases from Wizzards. I woukd like to know the numbers on how many box sales are going to players, versues companies breaking and re-selling singles. I bought a box because the cards I wanted exceeded the individual purchase price. I wanted some bulk cards to mess around with. I won’t resell the good ones on ebay, so I will have a ton of cards that may never see the table, but maybe some of the hidden gems will see play years from now.
Love the game. I bought the PDF, but plan to get the hard copy....but Uncle Adam needs a slap around the head with a large stinky salmon for that name. DETH wizards is horrible. It put me off buying it for a while. D-E-T-H - it make my arse cheeks cringe up like an anti-social cauliflower.
I love how Vince is wearing his gear like they just dragged him away from a hobby desk to do the podcast. Lol🤙
The man is always painting
It's his default skin
How do you know they didn't? :D
they did lol
The strict Necromancer that is VIncey V.
I feel like I’ve been watching Scott struggle painting red armor for like 4 years.
Can't count how many times I have forgotten to press record for audio. Extremely relatable.
Best.
Thumbnail.
Ever.

they can’t miss when the new Flesh Golem enters the villa!

Vince strikes back is my favorite Trapped Under Plastic Stars movie.
I've completely 'fallen' for Death Wizards - not only has it given new life to an ARMY of 3D printed minis that have been just taking up space, but it fully justified further 3D printing nonsense and the fact that I have no friends has no bearing on my enjoyment! 🤣🤣🤣
"Somehow... Vince returned!"

Jon's pump started beeping and I had to check mine to make sure. Thanks for the jump scare, lol
My three favorite miniature artists together again! Always a treat when Vincey V graces us with his presence.
Once again, Vincent steals the show. Always great to hear you guys chatting together.
I love that John started dying on camera and his reaction is basically like, ya its fine. I'm a diabetic too and when my alarm goes off its about the same reaction.
TUP the podcast where people tell each other they‘ll die soon-ish as a declaration of love and Scott is possessed by soft Oreo cookies.
Painting Orks and seeing the great green apron give me waghhh energy
Oof, Vince had me with his Creed laudatio 😂😂😂
Vince's dog barfs like Arnold.
Vince's dogs are in fact very adorable.
Fantastic thumbnail and excellent discussion and insight. Thanks for sharing!
1:36:57 new clip for the soundboard 😅”you gotta paint the tufts” 👌❤️
That intro, Vince is a fucking legend!
I’m 25mins into this Podcast, so far one of my fav episodes 🥂
Scott is so far out of his depth on anything more than 15 years old or 15 miles from home, it's funny AF. Has he ever explained his backstory? 😂
1:24:00 Scott seriously no X-Files in your life? Need to get watching 😂🤘❤️
I love Vince. He should have 200K more subs. He’s very good at explaining things in an easy way. 👍👍
Trapped under plastic: The podcast that shows even if you're painting something small, you can make it big.
I almost started crying when Vince was talking up Creed, and they turned to tears of joy when he turned it around.
I love how Jon keeps calling him Michael Stapp.
You know what’s great, ice-caffeine. I switched over from Celsius and red bulls to the ice-caffeine. It’s narly
I'm so excited that Scott is working with slapshot showdown too. I'm so excited for his game/minis.
Jon laughing at his own Chasing Amy reference no one understood
Regarding the "Cyberstalker" comment at the beginning...
Nothing says true love like a restraining order.
My players took 6 months to understand they had to be proactive as the villainy vampires in Vampire: The Masquerade. It's quite different then usual RPG settings.
I can listen to Vince speak about rats all day 😂

The dog picture is adorable
Use BMC's new "Guardians of the 7th Tower" soundtrack with Deth Wizards!

That is a lovely shade of red there, Scott.
Thank you Vince for the patience, and thank you guys for the second take!😅
1:42 gottam 🤣🤣❤️

On the Road good. The Dharma Bums great.

8:22 Jon, you lie! 😂
Thumbnail winning
Pineapple Coconut is the best one!!!
That thumbnail is brilliant. Great discussion, I could listen to you all talk game design and paintcraft for many more hours.
could someone explain to me how Vince is so so SO productive? I'm thinking some kinda of time traveller, where he has longer days, coupled with a deal with satan where he no longer needs sleep.
Beth Wizards seems a bit niche for a game.
Nice one scott!
vince coming in to low and high key hang shit on both of them is what I'm here for.
Are those pups cream Golden Retrievers? I’m getting a cream puppy later this month. So cute.
A crossover!
I lve black raspberry Sparkling Ice!
yea Spartan slaves were referred to as "helots".
TUP the podcast where the host sacrificed a rib to create a submissive oreo obsessed co-host.
What mini did Vince show him?

OMG, Creed and cakesters... How much Kohls cash does Scott have?
None he blew it all on high rise shorts !!
Incubee
Greta Van Fleet instead 😮
GVF is a Zepplin cover band that got very very lucky.
Lets get rid of Scott and just have this be the Vince and Jon show.
Let's not.
The technomancer!
