I'll be honest. SPR's story didn't even need a protagonist. The protagonist, "YOU" doesn't even do anything the entire time but talk to the NPC's and collect the scissors. The protagonist doesn't even bother trying to rescue Tucker when he is taken by Rozanda's guards. Thus making the main protagonist in the game completely useless in the end.
If they wanted a protagonist, there's already plenty of characters they could've had the player play as, which would've worked out so much better than just playing as yourself (Which also breaks the illusion as you're avatar is 3d while the others are 2d)
I mean, Drawn To Life also had a similar situation where YOU were the main hero, even if you didn’t speak at all. Though at least they were at least guided by a prophecy that made them important.
I couldn't agree more. The prequel literally barely ever had this issue (probably because there weren't any other characters stealing the spotlight.)

I fully 100%'d Super Paper Roblox before the original game broke by collecting all 75 cards and getting the secret ending, and now that I tried playing the restored version, I honestly don't even know how I accomplished the feat without giving up midway

this game and af2 were my favorite games that i used to play on roblox, and looking back on it honestly, it doesn’t hold up very well. the game also was pretty mediocre even for its time, so why did i love it so much? the game had a lot of personality to it, and while being only really decent it has its own style that gives it a lot of charm. when i played this i just skipped over the dialog as the story didnt matter much to me, i just wanted to see the game itself and where the chapters brought you. the visuals work very well with each other and the use of 2d and 3d just looks really cool. i will always remember this game as it brought me a lot of joy playing it, even as mediocre as it is.

I think you should make a video about this new game I found called Adventure Forward 1: The Blue Stars. It’s kinda like a extension/remaster of AF:Star Savior Deluxe. Can’t believe someone made a remaster/extension of a remaster of a game. There are literally 154 stars currently.
Adventure Forward 1: Kaizo is another thing.
I tried it and ngl its pretty fun, the archives stages could use some work tho

This game changed my life. I know it sounds stupid, but it did. In so many ways that I'm too lazy to list them all.
Half of those reasons are why the game is in my top 20 videogames.
But yeah, the game is great, in my opinion. Not from a gameplay standpoint, but pretty great. There was not much to explore, but the dialog made up for it. (I guess I just like long dialog.)
But if there is one thing that I truly hate about the game, it's the 8th chapter. Has nothing to do with the gameplay; actually, most of the chapter is alright. It's the final part that's the problem. 1x dying off screen made me angry; even if we couldn't fight him, I would have been glad to see Scriptliss fight him or at least 1x die.
I find it very sad that music is gone. It made me realize that a videogame without music makes you notice the flaws.
There is a remastered remake that fixes the music and glitches problem

I like how i was playing chapter 8 while watching this video and honesty your opinion is valid,for me i just really like this game even tho it took me 5 days for young me to finish it but yea your points actually do make sense tho like it had sm wasted potential
Chapter 4: Part 2 basically involves the player talking to EVERY single character. I know, it’s painful.
Chapter 5: No. Just no. The puzzle where you jump on blocks doesn’t even work. You can just cut corners and the game doesn’t pay attention. And guess what? These jumps are so lengthy, that missing a single tile will force you to restart that entire tomb. And if you miss a single card during that? Ooh, say goodbye to another 10 minutes of your life.
Chapter 8, is absolute hell. Every trick that was once used to deceive you is now active. But here’s the best part.
Through all of this, the cards are all hidden. Some of them, are hidden in areas you’d never go to in a million years. And if you want a tambourine, you have to get all 75 cards.
Roblox Crashed On Me when I was playing it for the first time and I had to restart. (Top 10 Reasons why I hate This Chapter)

Looked up this game feeling nostalgia, so happy theres a recent video on this!
Cant wait to watch, I remember my room being full of comics and drawings of this game, I was obsessed, can't wait to get a flash back! And a reality check with how the game really was, and not just my young imaginative mind
This makes me wonder a bit on how you feel about Paper Roblox 2, as it's personally my favorite game in the series (I've barely touched Super that much so most of my exposure to it is through this vid and gameplays).
As much nostalgia I have for this game and its charming design, my main gripe with Super Paper Roblox is that, plot wise, the "protagonist" (the player character) does JACK SHIT. The only meaningful thing they do is lead the other characters to the Scissors, which is a very replaceable task when you compare it to what the other characters do. Hell, in the last 2 chapters, you become COMPLETELY IRRRELEVANT, as there are no more scissors to collect. You just hop through dimensions and platform around while all of the other characters are duking it out. If He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named decided to code in a bossfight, it may have fixed the issue a little, but it would still stand. There would've been essentially zero difference to the story if the "protagonist" never even existed in the first place. To sum it all up, Super Paper Roblox is more of a narrative than a game.
(Edit: Don't get me wrong, I still love Super Paper Roblox, it's super charming with its visuals and we all have some crazy nostalgia with it, but looking back at it, that was a GLARING issue that I'm surprised I didn't even notice my first few playthroughs. Just to clarify!)

do a video on dummies vs noobs (it's more of a factual than theoretical bc you can get the lore information in the fandom, the discord server except the lore channel got deleted and other sources. A simple recap on the lore would be nice)

I just finished Chapters 8 and 9 today.
Omg i thought i was one of the many few who actually played this. Super Paper's story isnt the best yet not the worst. Its one of the ONLY good chapter games on roblox besides Piggy and Piggys many, "insporations". This is also one of the only games to include paper as a main focus but YOU DONT DRAW ON IT. The adventure you take, the twist and turns, the enemies you make an how you defeat them, thats what writing a story means. Also
Chapter 4- istg i went crazy trying to get throgu thr maze while also remembering that theres 75 cards
Chapter 6- Those eye drones were unbelievably annoying for some reason
Chapter 8- THERES 4 FREAKING CUT PORTALS AND EACH ARE SO ANNOYING, also its the FREAKING LONGEST CHAPTER

Paper Roblox 2 is still my favorite in the series, this game is such a disappointment
