Personal experience with the Ultra Power, I definitely had a hard time stringing and throwing with it.
But what I finally realized is stringing it on the lowest pocket possible made it much better to throw and has no whip!
I would love to see if the mid pocket it has now could be adjusted much lower and see if it makes it better with the 2D shaft! I think it will be much better and more fun to shoot with!👍🏼

See, I’m a masochist. So I rock an ultra/hyper with a high pocket and a disrespectful amount of whip. It’s like one of those toys you get for dogs to problem solve for a treat

You are spot on with this set up. Hyper power and fiber 2D may be the best combo I've used in years.

True Helios shaft review, Its apparently 99 grams and is super clean BUT I'm not sure if its durable? Usually shafts that are super light bend/break so I'd like to see you do a durability test, thanks!

As much as I would love to, it's really impossible for me to do an accurate break test. I almost pulled the trigger on a drop tower a few years back but didn't, and without something like that, (and, frankly, like 5 different Helios shafts to ensure consistency) I don't feel comfortable doing durability reviews. That being said, I can confidently say it will not be as durable as an 140-150 gram shaft, and basically if you ever throw a cross check, you should avoid it. Those types of shafts are really designed for offensive players who don't really throw stick checks.

Considering buying one, its literally sitting in my cart and I already have an ultrapower, had the same thoughts originally- that the ultra power had a weird recurve and was almost unusable. Felt similarly about the mk 2V. I'm using a Charge 2 on a maverik union and I love the way this stick plays, is incredibly consistent with 4s and strinking's mid pattern. I'm honestly wondering how much of an improvement I would actually get in shot speed with a new set up and if I would be losing some consistency?

So my only note is that even with the 2D shaft, you'd still be looking at a little more whip than the 2V, maybe about the same. As far as consistency goes, there is nothing inconsistent about the UP, it's just consistently whippier, and the increase shot speed is also contingent upon you being able to adjust your mechanics to the increased whip. I am hoping to do a little shooting video with the 2D and UP next weekend, so will hopefully have some more feedback then.

Any info on the next gen ultra power? I've seen a couple of pictures of it around but not much more.

I thought the Alliance 2D had the same thing going on

It does (I mention it in this video), I just didn't review the Alliance 2D and honestly did make the Ultra Power connection until now.

@@mainelymesh okay because I thought the same thing you're thinking. I'm glad you made a video about it. You definitely need to do a Mirage 2.0 and a Stringking Composite Pro video
