    Don't worry about the comment mate, they can't fathom that their tool/brand that they've emotionally bonded with, was improved upon. Those comments ramp up further when you compare between brands too.

    I've been waiting for years for something to significantly outperform my 887s. I would never buy something else for a relatively minor improvement. I'm pretty happy with the performance of my 887s . This new model on the other hand has my interest. I want this with that new slice type battery.

    We also need to see a video comparing it to the gen 4 Milwaukee is what everyone want's to see for sure :)

    • @SydneyToolsTV
      @SydneyToolsTV  Před 4 měsíci +7

      This has about 30Nm more peak torque 100 extra Impacts per minute but 100 less RPM. In a side by side on a bugle like in this video the dewalt slightly drives it faster which is a reflection of those numbers. However that’s not the be all and end all of a comparison. If you only drive screws/smaller fasteners and the rpm is all that matters than the Milwaukee will be faster.
      I’m sure this new impact from Dewalt will inspire a gen 5 from Milwaukee in the not to distant future.
      It’s amazing what cordless tools can do just compared to 4-5 years ago.

      Yeah for sure, I started off with the 887 back when it first hit the UK & since then I've lost count of how many impacts I've had the pleasure of trying & owning. I've currently got the Makita dtd 172 (had the 173) & I've been patiently been waiting for this dewalt 860. So more than likely I'll still get one so I can have a hands on experience & shall decide then if it beats my makita, lol.

      The gen 4 milwaukee has 226 nm amd the dewalt is 282 nm ,56 more ,not 30 ,quite a big difference @SydneyToolsTV

    • @sparx2391
      @sparx2391 Před 3 měsíci +3

      Thing is the gen 4 milwaukee has too many problems ,overheating when not even pushed hard, trigger issues which have been with milwaukee for years ,they should have sorted it by now , I think they have serious quality control issues , too many people have had problems ,especially with the gen 4 impact . Shame because it's a great impact ,but I want something that will last

    Love it, Can't knock MORE POWER!!! lol. One thing i need to know is the chuck still wobbling like the previous models before it ? as this was a game changer for me and have gone back to my makita because of it. as needle bearings on the spindle is not good when makita use ball bearings x2 to minimize the issue.

      From what I’ve seen testing in other countries there’s no more of that wobbling chuck

    • @ToolTimeToday
      @ToolTimeToday Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@rjoly8029 & how is it possibly me? Try looking it up before you try giving your opinion. It's the nature of bearings as well as which ones are being used. ALL DeWalt 1/4 inch chucks wobble due to the single sleave neadle bearing. I've had x1 787, x4 887, x4 850 all of them having the wobble chuck. Where as my makita DTD171, 172, 173 have x2 side by side Ball Bearings and no wobble in sight (hence why I use them daily) downside of ball bearings is the ball's wear out quicker than needle & have to be replaced when the balls oval with wear & tear / ecessive use.

      I believe the 887 and the 850 have near identical specs but the 850 is more compact. Safe to assume side by side with the 887 would look near identical, if I do a follow up I’ll be sure to include.

    • @SydneyToolsTV
      @SydneyToolsTV  Před 3 měsíci

      the interesting difference between the powerstacks was how much the 850 was underpowered by the smaller powerstack. There wasn't the same performance drop in the 860 between the smaller and larger powerstack. So there is a greater efficiency from the new brushless motor. Just a bit difficult to show in my workshop.
