Very hard to find Barry Harris concepts online. Glad to see you making videos about his concepts.

Thanks so much for providing a great lesson on a technique that's often overlooked (as you stated).

The new virtual piano thing is great. Even though I’m a guitarist, I love it. Thanks!

Thank you for sharing your precious experience. And every time I use it, in my brain it's like aaa, I learn this from Shan.😊

I like your lessons, even though I'm a horn player. Would appreciate any lesson you might devise aimed at horn players!

Hi shan! which app are you using for the backing tracks?

  • @GregorySM2010

The chord progression should be spelled CORRECTLY: there is NO such thing as 2nd diminished. It’s just 1st inversion of the 7th diminished! For example: I6-vii Dim-, and so on. 😅

Your comment is a perfect example of how a little knowledge can be very dangerous....my advice would be to contact Shan and he will unlock theory that has been taught wrongly for so long...changed my musical life forever!

Sorry but if you're going to turn on caps lock and laughing emojis, it's better that you know what you're talking about. It's not like I haven't understood (or taught) that chord VII is a dim triad or even dim7th functioning as the dominant in my lessons. I haven't described IIdim as a function anyway. I just said to put a dim chord on the II. There may have been a time that rare comments like yours would discourage me from sharing what I can about music to help people here but fortunately, those days are over.
