The chord progression should be spelled CORRECTLY: there is NO such thing as 2nd diminished. It’s just 1st inversion of the 7th diminished! For example: I6-vii Dim-, and so on. 😅

It's not like I haven't understood (or taught) that chord VII is a dim triad or even dim7th functioning as the dominant in my lessons. I haven't described IIdim as a function anyway. I just said to put a dim chord on the II. There may have been a time that rare comments like yours would discourage me from sharing what I can about music to help people here but fortunately, those days are over.
