I got the weebill 2 based on your recommendation. This one with the wrist rest looks nice. It's also less expensive off the hop. Can't believe they updated it after only 1 year. Crazy.

Same, I bought the M3 not so long ago but soon realised the record and zoom buttons are unless on my A7C. Not cool 👎

@@DeeJayHitMan18Rules In short, no. The compact size and motors are very impressive but the lack of onboard functionality does not add up to the price tag. I can only pray for a firmware update.

If you had to mount the Ninja monitor to the gimbal itself, not the camera hot shoe, where would it go? I'm used to using the SmallRig handle for underslung on the Weebill 2s and I can mount my Ninja to that. The new underslung handle doesn't look to have a mount point?
I ended up not doing proper research, and learned that the gimbal i bought can't balance a a6000 with the 18-105mm lens, and a battery grip on it..
I'm thinking of selling that gimbal, and getting a new one instead.. Can this gimbal support the a6000-series with a battery-grip, or does that offset the balance too much for it?
I was watching this video because I’m curious about the Weebill 3 and I swear I felt a familiar feeling. Was some of those shots in Georgetown Square?
I'm still confused how some basic tripods are more expensive than these hi-tech gimbals
Fluid head tripods have stupid good tolerances. They're not basic at all. If you've ever used a proper 200+mm lens, you quickly realize just how much wobble a crappy tripod can have.
@@spdcrzy yes you’re right about the fluid heads being important factors in the pricing. I’ll add that, tripods shouldn’t be compared to gimbals, since a tripod is a vital tool and needs to be robust enough to be tossed around and abused for years without ever failing. A gimbal like this one is hoping to get adopted by as many people in the target range as possible. I’m not saying the Zhiyun company is subsidizing each gimbal in order to saturate the market, but they definitely are focused on keeping the cost of manufacturing low so that the product will actually get purchased. The end result is that you get a gimbal that you’re gonna need to baby as much as possible, and may only last 5 years of normal use.
Thanks, interesting review. I'm always hesitate : RS3, SC2, and for few days now, Weebill 3. I make different types of videos, for dance schools for exemple, and I have to work with a gimbal for the making-of. W3 seems to be the right one...I'll watch other reviews of gimbals...again...
We need a comparison video with other Zhiyun gimbals, like the Weebill Lab S
zhiyun launched the weebill 2 few months ago, and now launch the forth version, don´t forget the weebill s, amazing zhiyun, great review like always, a big hug Arthur.
What about follow focus support? Is there a motor availabe for that?
Great video. Have you tried balancing it with a sigma 16mm f/1.4 lens? I've got the Sony A6400, but on the compatibility chart with this lens it seems these 2 might not balance well? Would be great to know your thoughts :)
I will let you know in a few days LOL. I would guess yes? The sigma isn't particularly heavy, and some of the bodies on the compatibility list are over twice the weight of the a6400.

I havent seen that on the website, but the crane M3 doesnt have the mounting hold at the bottom of the grip for it.
The video look great! However, I do notice the color cast problems in your video footage caused by the camera AWB. Let me know if you wish to shoot perfect color video and photo from the camera directly.

What about usability for left-hander?
After weebil-s I would stick with ronin rs2/rsc2 as I didn’t mention something extraordinary in smoothness of weebil 3. By the way using 6600 is not giving the clear picture as it have 5 axis stab inside. Maybe 6400 ?
He didn't mention in the video so I am not 100% sure but the general consensus is that you turn off all in-camera stabilization when you are using a gimbal because they may fight each other and create weird artifacts.
This looks really neat, but I just bought Weebill 2 Combo for €400 + AI Transmitter for €110. I feel it's a better deal, even though I do love the quick release, wrist support and small size of Weebill 3. But not worth paying €800 for the gimbal + AI Transmitter.
There's not a single video that can show me how to connect weebill 3 with Sony A7III wirelessly. I am having problem with wired connection. Does it even have wifi connection function? If anyone can point me to right direction?

somehow magnet will confuse the sony flip sensor, screen wont flip on selfie mode on my ulanzi hot shoe

That is the RE320. Linked in the description, i like it a lot! And it doesnt require a cloudlifter like the Shure SMB.

I think its better to rig it out so it isnt balanced on top of the camera. If you look at the website there is an example of someone using an extension rod instead of the grip handle.
@@ArthurR I looked on their website, did not see any images , but I have the straight Arm that I could attach to mount monitor, But Guess I would lose the pad or back arm. I was hoping there was a way to keep all, but that is in a perfect world... LOL...

what if i want to fix a 200-600 lens on there for sport? looking at vid appears i couldnt mount the lens plate vs the camera plate as not enough room?
They have a special compatibility list, you can check to see if it is compatible.

i think the ergonomic is not so good . hard to push the record buttom. the power buttom is on very bad place. sometimes i turn it off accidentaly. hard to balance perfectly my setup. a7III with rig and sony 35mm 1.8.. there is no exposure control for sony a7 III
This is not good. Not good for lefties. Having the buttons like that means using it with your right hand, which is usually not as steady or able to control everything so easy.

Easy. Similar to the Crane M3.
Maybe I'd fall for this if I didnt know that when buying a Zhiyun gimbal, there is an 8 out of 10 chance of it being defective.

Just my opinion, those are interesting features but you will never really get the same quality of stabilization as that of a Ronin gimbal.
Still I think Moza Aircross 3 is the beast which I'm personally using since last couple of months. From The Hindu Republic of India 🇮🇳

Looks great but the mic quality in every review so far is so bad!! Obviously you don’t buy a gimbal for the mic quality but if they’re not going to make it better than built in mics, why even include it?

I prefer the Feiyutech Scorp or the Scorp Pro over any of these gimbals. Scorp is hands down a better gimbal than Zhiyun or DJI
They have been made for right handed people. It sucks for left handlers!

Zhiyun sucks. My M2 lasted for 2 uses and now stays in sleep mode. Apparently it's a big issue considering all the chatter about it online. Shipping back to China and waiting forever isn't going to happen.
