I'm glad that she is so secure in herself! Barbie has always had collectors of all ages, as a kid my Grandmother would go to conventions and collect dolls.
She seems so happy and genuinely herself while appreciating the Barbie aesthetic. Having something to help you through a traumatic situation like tumors creates a special bond and she’s able to share her joy with others. Thanks so much for sharing her story!

I have watched Azusa and her Barbie collection for many years. I absolutely love her. She is such a genuine person. I love that she loves Barbie. I get that! I too am an adult Barbie collector. Stay true to yourself, Azusa.
This is truly concerning. All these like a like barbies, who try to be a fictional character and have nothing else than this world should get help. They run away from the real world and this is only way to cope with their problems. How can you judge so harshly based on a short video? Azusa isn’t trying to be a fictional character or Barbie, she just loves Barbie, dolls and pink. There’s a huge stigma around collecting dolls, we’re told to play with dolls and then suddenly we have to grow out of them? Why? Barbie is an inspirational character, she’s not real but I’m sure a lot of people look up to other fictional characters too. I think most people have some childhood traumas, dolls can be a great escape and hobby. Not everyone aspires to have an “acceptable” career to please their family or society. She wants to live a stress free, pretty lifestyle! I don’t see anything wrong with that, I admire her, she seems completely content with herself and her life!
