I actually did a few dash only runs lately! They're crazy fun if you pop off. I had one where I went splash dash and got stacked poseidon and zeus boons with sea storm. It was honestly an easier clear than some of my other serious runs 😭
I remember that one time I got a shit built early in the game, my attacks literally did no damage and a simple chamber would take me like 3-5 minutes to beat. But in Elysium I got a streak of 2 zeus dash charms and 2 Hermes dash charms and I was disgusted by how quickly I began clearing chambers just by dashing. Easiest Hades run of my life.
PP vs. Dash poms: PP is good because it has a chance to crit on ANY damage you do...but in this run we're only doing dash lightning damage. So looking at the PP first, you are getting a +1% per pom chance to do 200% damage. Multiplying the odds by the effect (0.01*2 = 0.02) you are increasing your damage by 2%. The dash base damage doesn't have to improve by much to beat 2%, so in one instance dash going from 38 to 41 would be about an 8% increase in damage. If this were a regular run and you were doing all kinds of damage the case for PP would be much stronger but not so much when it is only really affecting one type of damage.
I was doing a seastorm chiron run last night and around Elysium I realized I much preferred to just let my Zeus dash kill everything. Felt very gratifying harassing those shield bastards.
I did a dio chiron bow run yesterday in hell mode. Picked up Zeus dash to fill out the fated list. Ended up killing Hades with dash only after getting 7 other Zeus boons including the lego and a level 7 high voltage for thick bolts. It was so powerful I couldn't believe how quickly Hades melted. I think this was the 2nd time I ever picked up the Zeus dash cause I always thought it was bad. Not anymore.
Love this. I mentioned a few videos back my success with the same build. Gilgamesh with Zeus dash is Op. I feel even high voltage is a great boon for the dash. Makes it absolutely huge.
