Measuring Sprinkler Water Use

We use the home's water meter to determine the total amount of water used by the sprinkler system. We cycled through each zone of the sprinkler system, measured the time, and used meter readings at the beginning and end to determine the amount of water used. From that we can calculate monthly water usage. This can be compared to the monthly water bill to see the impact on the monthly water bill.
