Gressel is overrated. Yes he might score eventually, but over all play is not great.
He's simply... fine.
Everyone is too hard on Gressel. He’s been really good for this team and absolutely deserves a spot. He’s lacked in a few areas, but his tenacity to just push the ball up instead of passing around the CBs is huge for Miami. I like him.
He also is the better than any of the alternatives for the time being
Messi continues to play this long into his career because he enjoys Football, he said it himself, he won’t retire until he believes he can no longer contribute to the team. With that and the current schedule in mind being roughly a single game per week, I believe Messi starts. Unlike at P$G he genuinely seems to enjoy himself in Miami and just back from injury I’m sure he’s raring to go.
Just hoping the team are careful with him. The field at this stadium is notorious for causing ligament injuries. Messi knows his limits but we want to ensure he stays safe

The problem is, who do you put in his place? He's good enough and the flexibility he offers Tata is valuable. He will make mistakes as with any player. Let's just hope the good outweighs the bad.

That's not true. As with many sports franchises and leagues you just have some owners who care enough to invest and some who don't. LAFC just signed Giroud after going out and signing Lloris before the season. You have NYRB that signed Emil Forsberg. Toronto brought in Lorenzo Insigne and Bernardeschi. There's plenty of "good players", Miami just have the best of them.
You can never be too comfortable with this inter Miami team I can’t be surprised if they were to lose against New England. We have lost against Montreal that’s not a good team.

Gressel is an average player with very good cross/pass. Not enough.
His versatility is a big plus even if he isn't GREAT at any of the positions. He is better than any of the alternatives for the time being.
Rojas is 3 levels better then Gressel, good signing ✌️
