    One of the best reviews I've seen! You bring concrete examples and explanations for a wide range of aspects of the kite and how it feels. I hope you continue!

    The Duotone inflation system is inferior to other brands. Even the adapter doesn't work well cuz the rubber washer starts opening up and lets air out as you're inflating. Also the sail develops these tiny little creases and micro cracks much sooner than other brands. It's too bad Ocean Ordeo couldn't develop a kite like this when they had the lead with Aluula. (The Rise isn't as easy jumping as EVO)

    Two things Duotone need to get rid of...the Airport Valve Inflation/deflate port and the High V on the bar.

    Any comparisons between your Orbit and Evo Dlab for bar pressure, hang time and boosting height?!
    (I have Orbits too and this kite is a contender)
    Thanks!

      For me the Orbit has lighter bar pressure and offers a bit more stable loops and hang time. The Evo pulls more during the loop which can be either nice (if you like the pull) or can make learning tricks a bit more difficult. The fact that the Orbits loops easily without that much pull can really help for learning kiteloop variations. I'd say test the kite and find out for yourself! The DLAB is more playfull and allround but for now I'm sticking with my Orbit.
      Cheers, Marijn

    I'm wondering if you felt a bit strange the steering of the kite? as your left side of the bar is set on "Big bar" and your right side on "Small bar", or there is a reason you set it like that?
    I'm really wondering because I see so many people setting the Trust bar this way.

      The bar was setup wrong but it doesn't impact the flying that much. In the end I rode the kite a couple times with another bar and there wasn't that much of a difference. I set the bar up on that 45 knots session so I think the nerves played a role haha, then again if the bar comes setup straight out of the box (also including a chickenloop) that would've been nice haha

      I remember long time ago when the first Dice from North(at that time) came out, and a dealer from North told me how this kite is amazing.. while flying the kite he gave it to me to go for a ride, and the kite was definitely steering on one side, I told him that something feels wrong and the bar looks strange, then he said "aaa this is why the kite was pulling on one side".. kite dealer😅

      @spacexkitesurfing3634  Před rokem

      If you compare the same size tear on Alula vs SLS that alula is going to be more expensive. What makes Alula different is that it's way less likely for the kite to have a complete blowout if there is a small tear in the LE.

  • @Jakkillah
    @Jakkillah Před rokem +2

    I think the tear and wear you mention is common for Duotone fabric as it is just the coating of the fabric that creates these creases.
    Its not actually wear of the fabric itself, I have noticed it as I fly Duotone for a while already.
    I have the D/Lab and I am enjoying them, but need to get used to them as I am stepping over from Dices. I liked the loop better on the Dice so far.

    • @spacexkitesurfing3634
      @spacexkitesurfing3634  Před rokem +1

      Yes its not the fabric breaking but the coating going white. It's called chalking and it happens to more brands/materials. As said it wont affect the performance that much but it impacts resale value as it shows the use of the kite a lot more
