  • Let's talk about one of the best looking suitcases on the market - this is the Sterling Pacific 3L Cabin. It screams style and luxury - but how has the experience been after one year of use? I'll share my honest review after spending over 12 months traveling the World with this suitcase and walk through build, function and features.

Great review! Personally, I have no use for 4 wheeled bags as the j-hook keeps the center of gravity low and makes for super smooth and easy rolling, so that is not an issue. Apparently, this case does not get all dented and smashed like some of the other brands of aluminum cases.
The open interior allows one to customize the packing without all the superfluous or unused zippers, pockets, dividers and so on, and a good ole fashioned suitcase lid means that one does not need an entire table top for packing and unpacking.
My one and only concern is the weight, but it is exactly the weight that gives it the stability and long lasting quality. Thank you for such a comprehensive review. I look forward to future reviews from you soon.

I wonder how difficult it is to manufacture a 4 wheel variant with this lid. I really prefer this lid style but also have gotten used to 4 wheels. Might have to just pull the trigger. Great review.

Ahh I'm so on the fence with this brand. Like others have said in one of your previous videos, they are a start up company, made in china and owned by a hong kong commerce. Product looks amazing and looks to be well built.
But I'm unsure on the price tag vs other well branded cases out there such as the rimowa cabin twist (which is cheaper, has the history/ brand rep).
How would you compare the case to a rimowa?
    Thanks for your videos btw.!!

I've been eyeing this for a few months now. Not having four wheels is the only reason I haven't bought one yet.

It’s honestly a beautiful suitcase. Build quality is insane! But that also adds weight. So yeah - a 4 wheeled version would be a dream.

Real world testing must include checking it multiple times. If you travel as much as I do those situations arise that require you to check it. I have an aluminum Verage carry on I’ve had to check a dozen times over last couple years. Even dropped it off the back of a moving truck once(hurt me more than the case). It’s anodized black, so it’s got some patina for sure, but continues to serve me well. If they made a 4 wheel version I’d consider it though.

Good point! lol probably going to avoid those check situation - but sure they will arise at some point. With that said - there is a new model that Sterling Pacific has been working on - which addresses the downsides of a two wheeled version.

@@ItsDesmond Will keep an eye out for a four wheeler from them then. Been looking at the two wheeler for a year now, and like the build, but… drag behind two wheeler doesn’t work for me.

It is nice to have a luggage like this, but considering real life situations when you are forced to check it in against your will, when your luggage is being thrown, abused and you pick it up damaged, I would say no thank you unfortunatelly..

Agree. This is a suitcase where I have to be very deliberate about my travel. Priority boarding, size considerations etc. I have not had to check this or the other Sterling Pacific I’ve been testing. So 🤞🏽

I am hoping that they'll make one without leather and is cruelty free.
