Arun Kashalkar: Raag Shree

Pt. Arun Kashalkar was the featured artiste at the FEA-curated "Into The Night" concert, a tribute to his guru Pt. Babanrao Haldankar who had recently passed away.
He began the set with Raag Shree, the first raag taught to him by his late guru. The raag featured a bandish composed by Ustad Khadim Khan, Babanrao Haldankar's guru, and later in the raag, a self-composed bandish.
He was accompanied by Praveen Karkare on tabla and Pravin Kaslikar on harmonium. Vocal support and tanpura was provided by Arunji's senior students Vishal Moghe and Mukul Kulkarni.
The event was co-presented by First Edition Arts and G5A Foundation for Contemporary Culture.
