In the field of psychology, the Dunning-Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which people assess their cognitive ability as greater than it is. It is related to the cognitive bias of illusory superiority and comes from the inability of people to recognize their lack of ability . Trump supporters and Donald himself are prime examples.

In October, democrat Bill Gates had a prediction. He said the Chinese Wuhan virus stimulus negotiations would be the “the best opportunity” to get funding approved to help the poorest people in the world get vaccinated. “The democrats in the Congress who support these things have decided that the stimulus bill is the most likely way for something to get done,” democrat Gates said. That insight from the Microsoft co-founder has apparently come true.
As part of the announcement Sunday evening of a $900 billion Chinese Wuhan virus relief deal, democrat Nancy Pelosi and democrat Chuck Schumer touted “an additional $3.36 billion for a total of $4 billion for GAVI, the international vaccine alliance.”
Gavi, a public-private health partnership, and a similar organization called the Global Fund have “spent two decades becoming experts in the task of financing vaccines, drugs, and diagnostics,” billionaire Gates recently wrote.
During a separate recent interview with Yahoo Finance, democrat Melinda Gates recently discussed the effort to get more funding for Gavi, saying it has a whole distribution system in place to get the vaccine out. “It's totally possible,” she said, “you just have to do the planning now.”
The alliance was founded in 2000 with a mission of making all vaccines more widely available. Gavi says it has vaccinated 822 million children over its two decades in operation and will be central in getting the Chinese Wuhan virus vaccine to the poorest corners of the globe in the coming year.

Interestingly Scientists were able to decipher the subjects political alignment with an accuracy of 71.6% just by observing their innate brain structure.
Liberals tend to have larger Anterior Cingulate Cortexs and more Grey Matter which means they're more likely to base decisions on scientific evidence, studies, and new information that transcends the old information. They're also more likely to question authority and social norms, feel safer and more secure, favor change, have empathy, be courageous, take risks, be open-minded, go against the grain, stand up for injustice, and resist conformity.
Conservatives, on the other hand typically have bigger Amygdalas which means they're more likely to make decisions off of emotions associated with fear and anxiety. The amygdala or primative Fear center is sensitive and ways heavily on their decision making. In fact during experiments when cons were made to feel safer their view became more Liberal. They're also more likely to resist change, defer to authority, conform / fall in line, have an attachment to Established norms, sensitive to major social order changes, willingness to limit certain liberties to maintain order, favor orderliness and possess emotionally held beliefs in mystical beings that can't be proven.
Other studies have found that older people and Conservatives are also much more prone to falling for scams than their Liberal counterpart.

I'm a 72 year old Australian, I've been to the US (always have a good time there) and have a sprinkle of American friends dotted over the country. It's quite bizarre and worrying sitting here half a planet away watching America tear itself apart. I am forever indebted to the US for my existence. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for US forces liberating my father and thousands of other Allied POW's in 1945 from a horrific Japanese slave labor POW camp (Mitsui Coal - camp 17) in Fukioka Prefecture in Japan. Dad would not have survived another 3 months according to the US Army Medics, he was a walking skeleton. This was the time when America was truly GREAT and continued to be so for the ensuing quarter century or so under visionaries like Roosevelt, Truman and Eisenhower. But the America of 1950 and the America of 2020 are poles apart. You're in serious trouble, you have to do a re-set. You have to find some common ground between you and get back to where you were a decade or two ago otherwise you stand a real chance of drifting back to the pressures of internal hatred and acute political differences that eventually got out of control and erupted violently in April 1861. Every American knows the story. The Chinese President Xi Jinping and his Generals must be licking their lips right now. You're falling into their hands as you weaken your country while they are growing rapidly stronger. Please wake up America.

@@Chris-mb5lh Hi Chris. If your friend was a POW to the Japanese, he would have spent a maximum of three and a half years imprisoned. If he's American, it would a bit less than that depending on where in the Pacific he fought, and if he was Army, Navy or Air Force. My Dad was 8th DIV AIF and the entire Division plus British and Indian regiments surrendered to the Japanese on Feb 15th 1942 in the Fall of Singapore. Australia went into shock when the news came through. These were the very first Allied prisoners the Japanese took in WW2 and Dad spent three and a half years as a POW. He initially was at Changi, then on the Burma Siam Railway (The Death Railway) and then onto Japan. They were only 65km from Nagasaki as the crow flies and witnessed the atomic bomb explosion. Thank Christ the US dropped those two bombs, the Japanese were going to execute all 66,000 Allied POW's the moment a single American GI boot set foot on the Japanese mainland and all Japanese civilians were ordered to commmit suicide. Hiroshima and Nagasaki prevented all that.

Most of us don’t lie every time we open our mouths.
Most of us don’t have 10 lawsuits ongoing at one time.

Disagree with the 1st premise to shun him. In plain English it makes perfect sense. "you don't know what you don't know,. How can you know if you don't know that you don't know something...it's actually the best place to be because that's where possibilities exist. The rest is accurate ie: 2nd quote; "you don't know that you know", 3rd quote; "you know that you don't know, and 4th quote; You know what you know.
