We only have 6 weeks between announcement and election day in the UK. I know we are a tiny country but we don’t have rallies (seem like a rather outdated idea?)and no big advertising budgets are permitted. So more of an even playing field. Even 6 weeks can seem like an eternity but is long enough for parties to clearly state their policies. Personal attacks like Trump stoops to are rare.
It was five this year, and that was criticised as too long. It’s usually four.
