What about a Gibson 57' Classic? I just have the one wire and a braided. but my 2008 SG Special has the quick connect.

Figure out the hot output color code for the stock ones and then insert the one hot lead into the correct slot on the adapter. Ground slot is the same.

My Gibson les paul doesn’t have pull/push knobs to split pickups. My stock pickups have 2 conductors with a quick connect adapter (pre-soldered) plugged into the PCB. Now I want to connect 4-conductor pickups (with a split option) to my current PCB. I understand that I will not be able to split them, but my question is if it is possible to connect them at all using Quick Connect adapters coming with my guitar. Basically, will this 4-wire to 2-wire connection work?

Yes, I installed a set of SD Jazz and JB pickups into mine just using the Gibson connectors. None of my pickups are wired to split either. Just install the wiring according to the manual/pickup guides to get the color coding correct for your new pickups. Usually the coil split wires are twisted together and not used. Since mine had no splitting capability the wires were installed on the connector but just not accessed by the PCB I guess. Pickups worked fine. I have standard wiring in this guitar now, not Gibson PCB's.

@@TheGospelGuitarist I am not sure that you got me right. Look, currently I have 57’s classics in my Les Paul HP 2017. They are 2-wire pickups and don’t have any split options. Neither do my pots. I want to purchase a pair of pickups that do have a split option and connect them to my current Gibson PCB. I won’t have any splitting for sure, but I still want to purchase 4-wire pickups to have this option in the future. So my question: if I connect 4 wires from the pickup to the Quick Connect adapter coming with my guitar, and then connect this adapter to the PCB, will I get the pickup working in a “humbucker” mode? Sorry, if you already answered it but I didn’t understand your answer.

Yes you will, since the pcb will only see humbuckers without any switching available. Make sure you get the color codes correct.

I don't know of anyone who produces them except Gibson. You may try eBay to see if they can be found there. I replaced the Gibson system with an Obsidian system for around $100. No soldering or these little Gibson cables.

So Gibson just sent you those connectors? Part # ? Cost? I can't find them online, and when I called Gibson they said they're not for sale, after market. So how did you get them? I want to change pickups

They came with the bag of other goodies with the guitar. You should be able to locate a supplier online with a search.

Hey checked them out. Thanks for the lead, got the LP Vintage Harness with '50 & '60 switching. I pulled all the Gibson stuff out a while back. Not happy with the CTS TAOT pots I've been getting so I ordered this upgrade. Never heard of Obsidian before your comment. Quality is very good after looking it over. Going with SD '59 neck and SD JB in the bridge. Thanks again for not keeping them a secret!

After all the complaining from purists they have gone back to hand wiring. No more connectors.
