The saddest passing of a celebrity ever. Saw him 4 times and my stomach hurt from laughing each time. He didn't just stand there and tell jokes....he acted out every situation. Funniest routine ever was the drunk guy picking a fight with a cop. Love you RJ. Rest in peace.
I couldn't even take it at the live shows. You'd leave there with pulled stomach muscles. I was able to go I think 3 times. We went big. We always went in a limo. He was worth it.
I just did a research paper on him for English class. We were to choose a famous person to write about and I chose Richard Jeni. We were supposed to write about how the person we chose became famous and what lead to their success. The third paragraph was to be about this person's best traits, and of course I decided to write about Richard Jeni's comedy talents. And most of the reference that I used came from this video. Don't worry, I kept all of the cuss word out. lol
i heard of Richard Jeni from watching Dr. Katz. Hes one of my super favorites, on Dr. Katz, and these stand up performances are sooo funny i'm rolling, crying tears of hilarity..
Say what you want about people who commit suicide, and it is unfortunate. He was so talented and so funny. He isn't aggressive and threatening like a lot of the comedians today. He is just funny and I miss him so much.
@58windsong you are so lucky.... My wife was going to get me tickets to see him... and when she found out he was going to be in the area was the same week he sadly passed.
I'm not condoning it but its as if he burned so bright he had to become a supernovae; how could anyone have burned this bright and live a 'standard' lifetime?

Very well said. I miss him deeply too. His late night lawyer routine had me laughing so hard, I was literally crying.
I have 5 of his performance videos so I still get to enjoy him.. They never get old.
