The dude was crazy talented. Great material but his pacing and delivery was just pure genius. The comics today are nowhere near Jeni's level. Very sad his life ended far too soon.
Love him. Saw him anytime he came to Chicago or surrounding area! He was one of a kind! His humor was fabulous! Just hysterical! I miss him. I wish he would have lived forever. ❤️😔
Ricko s funniest man ever, I’ve heard about him doing 4 different hours in 4 different shows. I would give anything to see his joke notebooks as a comedian, all the fucking gold in those books that never was recorded
"Can't Believe It's Not Butter" is the best part of the whole thing. So many genius lines. "You look at a lawn chair and say 'I can't believe it's not butter.'" Why not?" "Cuz I'm stupid." And, yeah, "We never said it was. We only said we couldn't believe it wasn't." I miss him so much.
One of those rare comedians who could violate the Law of Conservation of Amusement - he could laugh at his own jokes and the audience laughed too. Though, for the record, I do like Clamato. Not so much on the Flounder Apple.
A great many people suffer from depression. Sadly, many of them succumb to suicide or die of an overdose. It is time to remove the stigma of mental illness and encourage people to get help with their problem.
He struggled with schizophrenia as well. I knew Rich, we dated around 1990, I don't think he ever got over his career not hitting the height she saw others ascending to. He had very little self esteem that wasn't tied to his career. The meds they gave him also likely made it worse. I was terribly sad when he left us the way he did. I still think of him often. He was kind, and he was a genius.

I was lucky enough to see him live once before he left us. I was so sad when I heard he took his own life.
same here -- I laughed so hard, my sides were actually sore after the show.
That was epic. Richard was a unique talent.
I miss him so much :(
+alworkedup R. Jeni was my favorite. I saw him live maybe 6 times, in DC and MD. RIP, Richard.

saw him twice and he was such a great performer. the last time though, he seemed off. I think the depression was starting to get him . very sad.
"My pen ran outta ink...ok I'm back" LOLOLOLOL :)

Welcome to cooking on the planet Mars!
Never Fry Bacon, When You're Naked.
Oh, the pain you must feel to get that kind of motto...
Laughing on the outside, crying on the inside.
RIP.
He was brilliant! And this was a great piece here.
The Arco station. I wonder how many people who are watching have never been to an Arco station.
He had talent to burn......makes today's "comedians" look pathetic.

One of the best. Sorry that he left us so very soon.

By far the best 2 comedians ever. My absolute favorite.

"So grease up your feet and take a walk asshole!!!!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The comedy world is such a poorer place without the Platypus Man!
After him, today's "comedians" are unwatchable.
oh hell yes
This is very funny I will say, but I love to cook for my family, and one of my favorites is home made chicken noodle soup with lots of noodles;0))
sounds like an excerpt from the fan mail to the Belching Gourmet.... And what else is your point?
Today we're going to make a massively complicated dish with ingredients you've never heard of...
never fry bacon when you're naked..boy did I ever learn the sage wisdom that is the hard way.
The king of the wopper!
genius
Utensils you can't afford...
6:11 XD
3 dislikes? really?
I too enjoyed this videographic performance. Is Mr. Jeni available for private appearances?
Good Day.
He took his own life in 2007. So no.

Clam ato juice
No, literally just suicide. He had depression issues at the time and couldn't figure out how to get past them.

Like... had a bad set?
Well, considering he died in 2007, I'm gonna guess not.
Oh. I guess that's pretty funny.
Career suicide? Oh, so he "bombed?"
I shudder at the impropriety: he must have been just "morftified!" Ugh.
George carlin was better. But this guy is the real platypuss!
George was great. But not better. They were both equally great at what they did and they were both the best and the funniest
Screw Carlin
